« Good value hotel with excellent location »

Hotel location is excellent, can easily walk to nearby underground and the Red line can take you to most tourist spots without the need to change line. We are a group of 24 ( 12 rooms) and the front desk are really accommodating especially in the supply of hot water to us. One hiccup was the reception could not find one of our bookings (one room missing) when checking in, leaving us to wait for more than two hours but in the end, reception said they called and find the booking. Anyway, we all enjoyed the stay here, showering water was hot and abundant, and each room was supply with good air conditioning

The Hotel was not in the city center but it has a fast access to public transportation. Also, it is located in a nice area with a shopping center nearby. Our room had everything that was necessary and the staff was quite nice.

Very nice stay. The room seemed quiet, not too spacious but just enough when used only to sleep after a whole day of sightseeing in Barcelona. Breakfast was very good - gave us lots of energy for the whole day. Only quite monotonic after 4 days. Lack of a warm meal was a minus. A small minus - the room was quite dusty when we arrived (especially on the shelves) - it seemed like it was not cleaned in 100% (or not used for a very long time). The bathroom is not 'sound isolated'. :) Staff was very nice and helpful.

Everything was great, the staff are brilliant. The view on the 12th floor is breathtaking. The neighborhood is quite and peaceful. It was a great pleasure to stay at Ibis Barcelona Meridiana. Hope to see you all again!

Check in was fast, breakfast was ok and the room clean. So it was ok for 1 night. Furthermore the trainstation is a 15 min walk. So that's fine as well.' Only remark. Why ask for a copy of my passport during online checkin "to make the checkin efficient" and ask it again during checkin? What's the use of the online checkin??? So I wont checkin online anymore.

Once we learned about the area around the hotel, we found it easy to access public transportation to see Barcelona. The hotel staff (particularly Esteban) was very helpful and easy to talk to.

The experience of our stay was nice. The staff kindly too. The only negative (if you could say that) was the lack of a small fridge in the room. Everything else was fine. Thank you very much!

« Very good for the price »

Positive: -Staff is fast and helpful. -Breakfast area is nicely designed and the food is satisfactory. -Room was cleaned properly every day. -Air condition was keeping the set temperature without the need of blowing the air heavily. Negative: -Elevator's door closing mechanism. We were bounced on our shoulders not once when entering. -I was missing the toilet brush from the bathroom (it must be due to some hygiene reason, but still) -For breakfast some vegetables would be nice. -The legs of bed felt a little wobbly, unstable. -Relatively big difference in paying in Eur and my own currency. (it would have been 6-7 percent more expensive if i chose my currency over the eur)

Arriving at the hotel the first receptionist I came into contact with ignored me whilst he flirted with another guest. A few minutes later I was finally called forward by a different member of staff. She couldn't find my booking initially and had to ask when I made the reservation and how. When I was finally checked in I made it to the room to discover that I needed an extra pillow. When I approached the same member of staff who checked me in and asked for this pillow she began to argue with me that I should already have enough pillows in my room. After asking several times, the lady finally agreed to get an extra pillow for me. (seems the 15 minute guarantee doesn't apply in this Ibis hotel after having waited 25 minutes). Other than that my stay was fine. Room was nice and clean, fresh towels provided everyday. Location was good, plenty of shops next door and metro station only ten minutes walk away.
