« A Good Hotel with Unfriendlier Staff »

The hotel is good but a little old. Small renovation would be needed. The location is a little far from the city but there is public transport available. Locating bus stops and connections is difficult. Staffs were not especially friendly. Especially the bartender was almost rude and cocky. We would not expect this from Accorhotels. The receptionist did not answer calls. The breakfast ends too early and every day it was out of glasses and plates.

Friendly and helpfull staff. Good parking possibilities (remember to pay parking in reception for best price). Perfect located if you arrive by car and plans to visit Venice. Food in restaurant very tasteful and can be recomended.

Room was more than OK. Good bed and all we needed was present. Breakfast was OK but we had already some better in other Novotel. Perhaps it's not an Italian use to have more choice between different cheeses. In the room for the breakfast there is also a lot of noise. Probably because of the presence of a lot of people.

First of all the hotel permisses are simply dirty. And nobody really cares about it. In the lobby a lot of dirt under tables. When we get to the bar in the evening whole bar was covered with water or splash from drinks. In the room above the kettle was very dirty. Nobody cleaned it for very long time. I have pictures of it. Reception staff is probably cheating clients. As accorclub member I did not get free drinks or even hello from reception. When I returned later and asked about it they had it prepared with my name but they did not gave it. I think this is standard procedure of hotel reception. No even one word saying I’m sorry. Breakfast very poor comparing to other Novotel hotels. Avoid this hotel. It Is kind of joke.

Good hotel with spacious rooms. Good breakfast although not as diversified as I wished it was. No problems with the service. It has a free car parking. It is not very far from Venice, there is even a bus station near the hotel that takes you to venice or a taxi could drop you there at a higher cost (20-30 €). The fitness room includes a treadmill, a cycling machine and a multipurpose machine that was half broken. The gym needs to be improved. There is an outdoor pool with a small playground for kids. 8/10

Warm welcoming, friendly, professional multi-lingual staff at reception and at the bar. I booked this hotel because it has an outdoor pool. On the hotel website did not specify the pool hours, so when I arrived at the hotel, just before 1900, the pool was closing. This is very disappointing. Also, there is no public transport information and the hotel is about 20 minutes by bus from Stazione Mestre (bus 31H). The hotel offers horrible restaurant service and food. Not a whole lot of choices for vegans/vegetarians. The breakfast eggs were very cold and tasteless. The rooms were very nice and amenities were good. The business centre was not working properly. Only one bartender at the bar and the hotel was very biusy with a lot of guests, so long waits.

Silver Member/ Reservation GMFDHVXT I have been a member of Accorhotels for a few years now and not once I have complained about any hotels, but I am explaining to you my experience as a world traveller and business woman. I particularly booked this hotel because it has a pool. On the website, it does not mention the pool hours. By the time I arrived at your hotel around 1900 hours, the pool was closing, so I was not happy. Your website does not say which bus to take from Mestre, which would have been very helpful in arriving at your hotel much sooner rather than relying on Google maps (directions were wrong on google maps) and taking 1.5 hours to get to your hotel from Mestre (walking in the heat) after a 4 hour bus trip from Ljubliana.​ Your hotel bar was understaffed with only one bartender and the hotel being so busy with groups. The bartender was very patient and doing everything he could, so there are no complaints from him and his professional services. Your reception staff was also professional and welcoming. Your rooms were clean and the amenities were eco-friendly, as all the Novotel hotels I have stayed at and have become a favourite of mine. Your restaurant, is another story. Your restaurant staff was rude and disorganised (dinner and breakfast) - but maybe there were stressed out due to the large crowds and groups of tourists. Your menu was horrible. Not everybody can eat pasta and risotto (food allergies). I was happy to see a salad buffet, but there were only a few items. I have stayed at 3 star hotels that offered more on their menu than your four star hotel. The eggs were only of the few things I could eat for breakfast and they were cold and had no taste at all. Your cheese selection were only two for breakfast, which is horrible for a four star hotel. Last but not least, your business centre is not functional. One terminal was out of order, and the other computer had a different keyboard, which I could not access the @ key. One of your reception staff came to assist me with it and she could not sort it out herself. I was not able to print my boarding pass for my departure flight the next morning. Please do not advertise something you cannot offer to clients. I am a member of another hotel chain and if I need to be in Venice, I would not stay at your hotel. Kind regards

« Absolutely one of the greatest stats I have had anywhere. »

From start to finish, it was a great stay. The rooms were very very clean! The staff was probably one of the, if not the most helpful staff I have experienced, and I have experienced alot of diverse hospitality! They even helped us with routing and getting from A to B! They were all very charming and positive people! A very modern vibe. The breakfast was great, and my personal favorite were the coffee makers, there were many different options for any caffeine enthusiast! Overall delicious! Once again, thank you to the staff for making such a great stay, even better!

The conference facility was well suited for the conference. The breakfast buffet was very good. My room was comfortable. The hotel staff at the reception desk was very helpful, in English, for all my questions.

« Good service, very nice and clean hotel, friendly staff, very uncomplicated check-in and check-out »

Two things which could be improved: - The A/C in the room was only powerful enough to keep the temperature moderate by running it at level 3. In this case, it was quite loud in the nights. Besides this, it seems to me that the filters in the suction grading should be cleaned - they look quite dusty. - The connectivity for pedestrians and for people who want to take the bus could be improved. The hotel's position on the map is great for people who arrive by car.

We liked the room (8:th floor with view over pool area). It had a double bed and a big bed sofa and plenty of room for all the stuff a family needs. Nice and clean bathroom with enough towels and a cozy little bath tub. Breakfast was good; not overwhelming but it had all you need. Lobby area and café was nice. Good parking possibilities in front of hotel or in garage. Going by car from hotel into Venice was convenient and took only some 15 minutes. Perfect hotel for exploring Venice with kids and car, since you can unpack and leave all your luggage at hotel and just take your camera and purse when going around in Venice. First day we spent time at the pool after Venice sight-seeing and second day we swam during day and went in the evening to see Venice by night. I would stay there again and recommend it especially for families. I dont know how is public transport to/from the hotel.

Overall, I'm satisfied. I stayed with family only for one night and it was alright. However, if I was staying a longer duration then many things need fixing. Pros: 1. Nice clean hotel 2. Good location. Close to Venezia Mestre station. No bus connection from Mestre station but taxis are cheap. Cons: 1. The family room was pretty small ... the double bed and sofa bed consumed all of the space in the room leaving almost no space to move around. 2. Breakfast was a little unorganised. sometimes cutlery was not available. Breakfast items that finished took time to be replenished. 3. No iron in the room. guests need to pay EUR 20 deposit to get the iron in the room. This is refunded when you return the iron. I'm well travelled but this is the first time I've seen this anywhere in the world.

This hotel is ok but not really living to the Novotel standards. Breakfast choice is quite limited and average quality as well. Staff is really friendly and helpful though. All in all next time I will try the Mercure close by.

good but this hotel is getting old. Breakfast was not very sexy, not to the Novotel Standard. Also I didn't get any special attention with my platinum card: no upgrade, no basket of fruit in the room... just the free drink.

I'm staying in Novotel hotels quite often and previously thought that all of them have the same room styling with almost the same facilities. Novotel Mestre is definitely not one of them, because this hotel feels old and used. I think that this building, furniture, facilities were repaired a long-long time ago. E.g. you can even see the cracks on the sofa coverage in the bar, huge scratches on walls etc. There is also shortage of personal, because during the day there is on one water in restaurant and in the bar, therefore if you want to order something from the bar, you can wait 10-15 min for waiter to pop up there. Food in the restaurant was very good - big portions, nice drinks and prices are reasonable. But my friends had breakfast included and this was quite bad, I hope they will also leave a review regarding this. Personal of this hotel is very helpful and nice - no questions to them. Also the location of the hotel is very inconvenient because you can reach it only by car. There are bus stops in 10 min walking distance, but you have 2-3 buses each hour during the day and NO buses during late hours.
