The stuff were unable to make face on the clients demands (plates for serving breakfast remain a lot of time empty on desks). On restaurant the "Maitr" came only to say good evening and nothing else on reception there where 3 people stuff talking to telephone and no one served the clients (waiting time more than normal)

« The manager who checked-in was very good. Breakfast need to improve. Short staffed i guess. »

I like to thank the front desk staff who checked me in. he was very accomodative. there was an extra person who he accomodated without any additional charge. if you want to visit Venice as a tourist, i would not suggest this location as its bit away. If you are okay for a short walk before getting into the public commuting, then no issues. All the trains stop in Mestre before going to central station, so it is good. Housekeeping need to improve. There were insects in my room. My son ws bitten by insects and i caught one insect and showed to the Housekeeping. The answer i got was it is harmless. Even when i showed the bite on my kid, the staff in the frontdesk didn't do much and shrugged off. Was bit disappointed with that. Breakfast quality need to improve.

We are always looking forward to breakfast at Novotel when we stay. Because we had good experiences at Novotel in other cities. So we choice Novotel everytime, anywhere. But unfortunately in Venice, it was terrible and we were disappointed. No vegetables, fresh juice, and not enough serving (shortage of all foods). I hope that you will improve the service in the future.

« Outstanding Service, Comfortable Rooms »

One of the frontline staff by the name of Michele was excellent in terms of knowledge, clarity and a strong passion to help me with my wayfinding needs as it was my first time visiting Venice. He spoke fluent English and gave me great advice where to buy groceries, take public transportation to my destinations and helped to provide me with other important information for my stay at the hotel. The room was very comfortable and well equipped with amenities, the housekeeping was fantastic and facilities maintenance team who attended to a leaking shower hose was prompt and professional. Will definitely stay here again if I were to come back to visit Venice.

Easy check in . Problem when in room only one bath towel supllied attended reception and informed them told towel would be supplied went off to dinner but when wemt to shower the following morning still no second towel

« There are more better hotels outside there as that one there. »

The staff was friendly but they can not do anything when the management chosen to fill the hotel with tourists from China. That should stay on the hotel website. Restaurant is better to forget. The dinner was in fast food quality and cold served but the time to prepare they need like for a´la carte. There was complete chaos between the servants, no one knew what the other had done. During the breakfast, the restaurant was overcrowded with Chinese tourists, and the staff did not go through to clean the tables and to refill the buffet. There was complete chaos there.

It was an ok experience. The staff were not friendly, they just did their job as much as they needed to do, but nothing to make my experience memorable. The checkout process was disappointing, the staff wanted me to count what I had used from the minibar myself and none of the prices were displayed. I booked an executive room and did not feel there was any difference other than overcharging me. The restaurant staff was just focused on getting us out of the place as soon as they could. Overall disappointing experience. It was not my choice to stay here but will definitely make sure I don’t make that mistake again.

Frustrating with language understanding very busy Hotel attitude off some staff could be improved. Dining Experience not good at breakfast paid for full breakfast arrived very little food available due to number of people eating.

« Very enjoyable return visit to Venice. »

The hotel and its facilities were very good with an on site restaurant which is very important as there are very few places to eat nearby and accessible on foot. We were travelling by train so initially reached the hotel by taxi.Hotel staff were helpful in telling us how to get to Venice St Lucia by bus, with timetables and selling tickets for the bus to train station in Mestre then train into Venice, or bus all the way. However they failed to tell us that we should take a different bus back to the hotel, the return journey took us over an hour with a 20 min stop at the hospital and another stop of 5 mins in a dark park.Even for 2 older experienced travellers this was quite an anxious journey. It would be helpful to add the return details to the printed sheet to make it easier for visitors and non italian speakers to sort out.This hotel is near motorway and would be ideal if travelling by car or organised coach trip, but not for the independent traveller, arriving by train. The footpath to the bus stop, even within the hotel carpark, should be separated from the car/ coach access and should be improved to the garage. Walking to the bus stop with suitcases was a challenge, fortunately it was early on a Saturday morning so not much commuter traffic around.
