Stayed to some of the IBIS in EU, but the one in Bucharest is not what I expected. The reception wasn't that friendly', and the wifi access was not automatically given during the check-in. I have to ask for it when I came down in the evening. I did an online check-in as recommended, so I thought I don't have to fill up anything when I arrive. Waited for a while at the front desk and received a blank form and that I have to write the same info that I have given during the online process. What's with the online check-in then?

Very good bed, nicely decorated room, better breakfest than in most IBIS hotels. Small problems at arrival (welcome drink voucher not prepared, pre-filled work address not found by check in staff).

« it could have been better, this time »

the period was noisy, because of the jazz concert. The music was heard from my room There was a problem with my room, initially, my card was charged although the travel coordinator made the reservation through the firm. My money was returned on my credit card quite slow, after this issue.

« 10th stay, if not 11th.. »

I have been staying at IBIS since 2009 on a frequent basis. This May already twice, 7 nights in total. Knowing all the deficiences I will keep staying at your hotel when travelling for leisure, due to the good price. When travelling for work I normally stay at Intercontinental (in Romania same family) or Novotel. Pay 4 times less get 4 times less). Last stay was in room 330. I couldn't dispose any object on the drawer, cause it was broken. Aircon not working properly. But nevermind. I heard that you will renovate the hotel. That's good. Now for the 3d stay in Bucharest this year I will try out the Hello Hotel near you. I am curious

Unfriendly staff at incheking desk, long waiting time. I asked for an extra duvet or cover as we don't like to share, the answer was "the housekeeping is finished for today". I am a member and I have never experienced this before. Hot in the room, AC was working, but was too noisy to be able to sleep with it switched on. Breakfast: bad variety, no choices, slow filling up, tap water in bottles and dirty tables, nobody seems to care cleaning them. Disappointing...

It was ok, Except for the check-in, much too long, even if there were two person at the reception, it was only one attending. And then reaching the room without not even a bottle of water in the bar-fridge room, not even a menu list of the hotel’s restaurant. The sound of the tram is quite annoying.

Stimate domn Tivichi Stere, In primul rand va multumim pentru timpul acordat pentru a ne spune despre sejurul dumneavoastra la hotelul Ibis Gara de Nord. Imi pare rau ca experienta in hotelul nostru nu s-a ridicat la nivelul asteptarilor dumneavoastra si va rog sa primiti scuzele din partea noastra. Va asigur ca vom lua toate masurile necesare pentru a rezolva acest gen de probleme si a preintampina aparitia altor evenimente neplacute. Feed back-ul dumneavoastra este foarte important pentru noi fiindca la Ibis Gara de Nord, depunem eforturi sa oferim servicii de calitate superioara pentru fiecare oaspete. « very bad »

Made reservation but didn't receive reservation document until the 10th time that I called. Asked for invoice and payment through bank... I was told it could be done; instead a credit card was asked. I provided it and the entire sum for the journey has been blocked; which would have been fine if I had been told from the beginning. Also, the sum was blocked in 3 seconds but the unblocking (I choose to settle my dues in cash at check-out) takes 5 days. I wonder if you accept payment 5 days after I check-out. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I ensure that you would not receive this feedbacks from me in the future because I will certainly avoid your "hotel".

« The hotel needs improvmemrs done and the breakfast was not ok »

The rooms are ok, but you can see that the walls Need a paint. We had the same feeling when looking at the loby or elivator, everywhere. The breakfast was poor, not too many options and the food that eas suppsed to be hot, it wasn’t.

Broadly speaking, I prefer to stay at IBIS hotels, wherever I go. This time I observed that: parking is way too expensive (I had to park my car somewhere else!), breakfast is less diverse than ever and the overall cleanliness of the hotel is on the lower acceptable limit. I feel that I should reconsider my options and my loyalty towards IBIS. Another surprise it was the fact that I dad to pay at arrival, even before entering in my room!!! As a positive thing, I would mention that personnel is polite and nice, trying to help and please the customers. Good attitude.

Check in online was easy. Staff very helpful. Luggage storage was not a problem. Easy access to gard de nord and airport bus but you need to walk about 5-10 mins. Good wifi. Rooms comfortable and facilities good. Nice stay Thanks Y.
