Hello. I had just arrived from a long train journey, very tired. There was a nice young lady at reception. I do not speak Romanian, so I was going to do the best I could with my phrasebook and gestures. I did ask if she spoke English. Her reply, mercifully, was 'of course'. She noted I looked tired and checked me in quickly. I had key in hand in 3 minutes. She was quite helpful. The room was clean and spacious. I had an awesome stay at your fine establishment.

« Reliable and friendly Hotel in bustling Bucharest »

I had a 2-day stay in early October. I occupied an apartment and was pleased by the standard of comfort and the amenities provided: they greatly added to the ease and pleasure of my stay. I found hotel staff to be efficient and attentive if I ever needed to ask them about anything. I have stayed in the Ibis before and have noticed regular improvements. The quality of the breakfast is now very, very good, especially the range of hot dishes. In the evenings the hotel was hosting a musical and food exhibition which added to the sympathetic and laid back atmosphere. There was beautiful crisp autumn weather during my stay but, on my return from whatever I was doing in the city, it was always a nice feeling to step into a well-positioned hotel with a very welcoming feel to it.

Basic hotel, well situated with generally friendly staff. Restaurant menu is a bit monotonous, and could do with some more variety. There are a number of eateries within a five minute stroll and Gare de Nord is conveniently close. Rooms are functional with a limited English language TV service. Free wi-fi is available throughout.

Overall an enjoyable stay. Check in and out were efficient, staff encountered were friendly. Bit of (local?) cake as a little welcome gift was a nice touch. Room was comfortable and clean. I liked the piece of what I'm assuming was local sweet cake/pie at breakfast, amidst the standard hot and cold offerings. Breakfast was a bit chaotic and had to ask staff for cups and plates, although this may have been just because we came down at a particularly busy time. Some of the hot food had gone cold. A kettle with tea/coffee in the room would be nice, but this is maybe because I am British!

« Wonderful mural musical room! »

We got the room key quickly (by checking online). We had a beautiful room-508. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with a real guitar, positive sentences in English stuck on the wall. Vinyl records were placed on the walls that we appreciated a lot and an inventive musical score drawn on the wall.
