Lack of kettle in room to make coffee not acceptable. "Step" up to the toilet pod an issue. Otherwise OK Your website when accessed by a mobile is u/s I have to make Ibis reservations by phone

« Comfortable hotel with lovely staff ideal for a overnight stop »

Everything was prepared, room etc.... usually we stay in Ibis budget hotels for overnight stops, but in future I'm happy to pay just a little bit more for extra space, much bigger shower and a restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast had a bigger choice. Our dog was made welcome in the pet friendly area of the restaurant.

Convenient dog friendly hotel for overnight stay very close for the Eurotunnel, with secure parking. spacious clean room with very comfortable large bed. need to take care on the Step up to the shower room as floor slippy. Wasn't impressed with the food in the restaurant and drinks very expensive. However, have already rebooked for our return journey!

« Ambience, staff very good however food awful. »

The staff were charming. The room and facilities good. The bar area comfortable with a good atmosphere again down to the staff I believe. Unfortunately as I said the food was really awful. A shame really as otherwise all comments would be positive.

« Overcharged on checking out. »

Stay was good, room good etc.. The BIG disappointment was checking out. I had pre booked a double room with breakfast at a fixed price, at checkout I was charged 25 euro more than my booking, the hotel claimed the price I had was pounds and they were charging me in Euro, I showed them my booking (in Euros) and they said, we have your card details we are taking the money. Tried calling ibis had no reply to calls or emails.

« Regular hotel for me - always good »

I have stayed at the IBIS Channel Tunnel many times and go back often as it is always a good experience, great parking (free and very safe), access to several restaurants nearby, nice staff, comfy beds. I tend to use it as a place to stay after getting off a late tunnel crossing or the night before coming home. Also very near a large Carrefour if you want to buy items for onward travel or to bring back to the UK. The only thing I would change is put a few more comfy seats in the bar for us older guests.

« Wonderful (and very honest) staff »

The hotel itself is good value for money. Very basic but that's all we needed at the time. The one thing that really stood out for me was the honesty and friendliness of the staff after having left my wallet downstairs on a chair with all of my euros in it. A staff member found it and instantly handed it in. Thank you Sylvain and thank you to the gentleman on reception for staying calm and helping me retrieve my belongings.

The hotel and staff as always was excellent, booking online has become a nightmare. As a member of Le Club Accor we again tried to book online for our loyalty discount, once again it would not accept it. Had to book by telephone and was charged more. This is now becoming very annoying. We use the group several times a year on average, may have to start looking elsewhere.

« Kids & Police »

Evening - we were not able to enjoy a 'quiet' drink in the bar because of numerous kids running riot in the lobby area and the corridors. Nobody from the staff seemed to be prepared to step in and tell the parents to control their kids. Unfortunately we were on the ground floor, and had kids running up and down the corridor. Morning - the Police seem to have block booked the hotel, which in itself is not a comfortable thing having so many of them. Ok... we had security... The most annoying thing was at breakfast where it seemed to be one policeman per table... leaving none for the other hotel guests. Again, the staff should be asking the police to be more reasonable for the comfort of the other guests. Not a comfortable stay in this hotel. Room OK. Food OK.
