Very nice and clean hotel. Two remarks: At the check-in I was informed that "breakfast is included in my upgrade price" but it turned out wrong. And - burger in Flave restaurant was quite tasteless. Everything else was perfect: room, internet, location.

The hotel is very well located when you have to go to OstBahnhof. It only takes 5 minutes by car. The room was very nice, and the staff very polite and professional. If I had to go back, I would not hesitate.

It is always a nice experience staying at Novotel, not only for the personnel but also because it is located in the center of Munich. 10 min walking from Marientplatz!! I have never had any issue, however the swimming pool is not available since a couple of months and it seems that it will not be in service until end of April 2019. That was for me the best service that they have! Rooms are very good and the lounge bar is very cozy and cool!

It was a short stay and the time spend in the hotel was minimal. The room was very nice and comfortable, the personell polite and helpful. We liked the idea of free use of minibar and the coffe/tea provided.

We have now stayed at a number of Novotels - Vienna, London, Singapore and Sydney - this one in Munich is by far the best. It is clean, friendly and helpful staff and is a short 15 min walk into the touristy main square. We'll call this Novotel home next time we're back in Munich. Highly recommend.

Good except for lukewarm food. The hotel is very clean and efficient. My soup was fine, but the burger I ordered was lukewarm, as were the chips. I would stay again but probably eat out.

The hotel atmosphere is very pleasant, service was excellent and food was good. i would expect one or two bottles of water outside the fridge for daily use.

The water in the shower went from warm to cold, the toiletries were minimal, the lift was faulty (the doors wouldn't open), it was quite basic, considering the price.

« Booked this hotel because of a sauna, but there was no sauna »

I stayed in a few Mercure hotels during the last week and for the last night before leaving Munich I chose a hotel which mentioned a sauna on the website. I made a prepaid booking. At check in I was not offered with a room upgrafe before I asked the receptionist to do it. Rooms were available. I was not given a welcome drink voucher and a welcome amenity but because the upgraded room had a free mini bar I did not complain. I asked about sauna operation time but the receptionist said that sauna is not available since last 3 months! I was not informed about that before! And they did not arrange another sauna. They offered just a swimming pool nearby. I chose this hotel just because of a sauna! The room was nice. But there were no slippers, a toothbrush and a comb.
