I love the "my room" concept Novotel started! We stayed in the beautifully designed room "Fernweh", and loved how much attention and love was given to every detail! Here, you have the standard of a good hotel room, combined with the love and individuality you normally only find on Airbnb! Also, Novotel's new mattresses are FANTASTIC! But sadly, apart from the room, we were a bit disappointed by this Novotel - we had packed our swimwear, but when we stood in front of the wellness area, we found out that pool and sauna had been closed since several months (!). Why did no-one tell us at check in? Also, in cases like this some sort of service recovery - for example a voucher for a free drink, or a discounted price - would be a nice gesture... And last but not least - a challenge all Novotels seem to face: breakfast is WAY too expensive! Why on earth would someone pay more than 20€ p.p. for a meal you can have nicer and with more love and individuality in one of the hipster places just around the corner, for less than half of that amount? But all in all, a good stay in a good hotel. And the desk staff is not only very friendly, but also cute ;-)

« Had a great stay, staff was excellent. »

Was a bit disappointing that the spa was not open, but had a great stay. The real bonus to the stay was the excellent staff. The check in and check out were a pleasure. We also had dinner at the restaurant, which I normally never do, but the food was very good and again, the staff and the restaurant was excellent and a real joy. The rooms had been remodeled since the last time I stayed at this hotel and this was a nice feature but I do not remember there being a problem with the old rooms.

Because of Novotel hotel I've got unplanned experience with public swimming pool in Munich.I suppose if you want to keep the good clients experience you should be fair with them at least and tell them in advance or on the web site that you do not gave the swimming pool any more because of the fire.It will help to handle th client expectations which might choose Novotel vs other (Holiday inn for instance,which the neighbor of the Novotel) because of the swimming pool.Yes.sure,after such comments Novotel offered to participate the public swimming pool for free which is nearby the Novotel,but AGAIN customer should be informed about such inconvenient in advance!And I suppose such things should also reflected in the hotel price.The second thing which really should be improved is clean service.For three days of stay we never have been updated with soup,shampoo,shower gel even if it has been finished and we had to request this from room cleaning service who was not speak English at all and explain that they Romanian,so I supposed we have to learned their language based on such explanation?So, I do not feel that I've been in the 4 stars hotel which is carrying about customers retention ....

The hotel staff were their usual self and very friendly. The room super clean and beautifully made. The ambiance relaxed and friendly. However, the wellness area/ pool was closed. I was not informed of this at the time of booking or before my arrival. The wellness area/ pool is why I choose the hotel. It is a special trip at a special time of year and the swimming and sauna is part of that for me. I pay a premium price for this experience. If I had known that the wellness is not open I would have booked another hotel where there is a pool/ sauna or I would have chosen to book a much cheaper room. Either way I was not given this opportunity because Novotel chose not to be honest. This is highly disappointing.

We stayed here over new year 2018 and found the staff too all be friendly, polite and efficient. The room we had (executive) had two double beds and enough room for all 4 family members. Everything was clean and new and the hotel was a 6minute walk from the nearest train station. The food was very good and the breakfast buffet was well stocked and varied. Evening meals were also good and the Thai curry was possibly the best I’ve had, outside of a proper Thai restaurant.

« We loved the stay and breakfast but were bitterly disappointed about the pool and sauna that were closed. »

The breakfast and room were exceptionally good. However our children had looked forward for a long period of time to go to the pool and sauna. However this was closed. It appeared that it had been closed for weeks but in all the internet searches the hotel was advertised as having a pool. A main reason why we choose this hotel. This was highlighted to reception stall who advised on some small print on the web page that was making reference to the dpa being closed. We asked the hotel staff to make some arrangements to improve the experience for our children however sadly nothing happened. This was not what I would have expected for your high standard venue.

The hotel was ok, I have stayed in many Accor Hotels and this was midrange for a Novotel. We booked the Executive rooms and I was slightly disappointed at the standard. Normally these premium rooms offer more than just a free mini bar, In most there is a lounge, free drinks, breakfast etc, however these Exec rooms offer little more than a standard room and as such I wouldn't book it again. The pillows in the rooms were incredibly hard, and again I'd expect a Novotel to have better options.

The stay was satisfactory given the rooms are newly refurbished. However, the walls are a bit thin as each time someone closes a door, it slams and the noise reverberates through. Besides that, the staff in the hotel are nice where our request for extra chocolate with the coffee was accommodated which is nice :) The selection of international papers were also a good touch.
