We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The front desk staff were brusque - I am sure they were well meaning and busy but nevertheless... The pillows were very hard - we requested softer pillows but did not get any better ones. Did not sleep good at all. Totally appreciated the 2 extra beds for the kids in the room. I can't remember if I had to pay extra for the 2 cots or not. Well worth it though. Location was meh. It was close to the subway station (Rosenheimer Platz) which is quite central enough to connect to all other lines so that was a plus. It was not a very nice location otherwise - pretty seedy in parts. Also with 2 kids and a mountain of luggage our taxi was not allowed to park in front of the hotel. They had a metal barrier that was up so we had to haul our luggage and kids the 150 feet or so over cobbled pavers to the hotel. Did not like at all!! We got there at 1:30pm for a 3pm check in. The room wasn't ready (eye roll) so we left our luggage with the front desk and went exploring. Breakfast was a HUGE spread. Pretty good except that the food was not very tasty. It was better than hotels in the US but not compared to the Hilton, Novotel and the Hotel Palace Muenchen that we had previously stayed at in Frankfurt, Berlin & Munich. Of course, there was a big price difference from these hotels too so you get what you pay for. Bottom line: for the price and amenities - I would stay here again.

« Great hotel but expected a bit better »

I was quite disapointed that I could not get the same price offer (business price) in the weekend as I extended my stay in Munich over the weekend. Some hotels even have a cheaper price in the weekend than during the week. Also, I had my whole stay problems with the hotel card (keys). They were not working many times and I had to go to the reception each time :-( Nevertheless, your hotel is very comfortable and very well located (from the European Patent Office) so I think I might return, should I come back to work here.

« Nice hotel with good location »

Our stay at this hotel was very nice. Room was good, great variation at the breakfast buffet, service friendly. The hotel is located close to Deutsches Museum and public transport, which was nice. Almost nothing to complain about. The only minus was that you couldn't wash your hands in the toilet, you had to go to the bathroom. It felt a little weird. But overall the hotel was great, I would recommend it to my friends.

« Good hotel but status not really recognised »

The hotel is well situated and the rooms are designed for business need (a lot of socket and USB port available). It is a shame that accorhotels status (platinum) is not really recognise at check in as no room upgrade was offered (or at least acknowledge that none was available) and my room did not have a desk to work properly. All in all it was a OK experience but some small room for improvement would be good

« It started off badly with the rooms not being ready. »

After booking through the Le Accor office where I was promised at least one room would be ready for our arrival at 8:00 we were still in the foyer at 10:00 waiting for at least one of our executive rooms to be ready. We had to go down to the foyer to get the second room key about half and hour later. I had ordered a baby crib for our 1 year old granddaughter and it was not put in a room until the second night, after I went down to reception apron returning at 20:00 from a day out.

It was pretty ok but i was pretty surprised when the counter told me no rooms were availabe despite the fact i paid for early check in (i was told the hotel will refund the money). i was eventually given the room but to be frank, this is definitely not desirable for a business traveller like myself

« Poor front desk service and room got smaller than the one I had »

I stayed at Novotel in Munich city for three nights in total, 4th, 7th and 8th June 2018. On 7th June, I had a late check-in. Served by Dario, a disgruntled front desk staff. My colleagues experienced the same bad service on that very day. I had a parcel which already arrived at the hotel. So I asked politely if the hotel has received. He took out a letter which belonged to me, and I asked if there were other parcel, he said no flatly. So I walked up to my room and realized my keys were not working. He was slamming files, rummaging papers as I waited to be served once more to get my card access fixed. I told him the card didn’t work and he just dumped the card I gave into the trash bin, and magnetized another two cards, without any words of apology. Frankly, I do not think he enjoys his job since he was obviously showing bad attitude to all the guests. Please watch your surveillance camera when Dario is on duty and you will know what I mean. I asked if he has seen my parcel one more time since I was fixing the card access. Then he gave a frustrated face, walked back into the back office then dropped the parcel on the desk to me. No apologies for making walk a second time.. And my room got smaller than I had during my last visit in March. I will be returning again for a longer stay but perhaps I will not stay in Novotel again. The rooms given were pathetic on top of the bad service from your front desk staff. I held back my anger to be frank. I really wanted to tell him to resign since he didn’t like what he does. Novotel is a big conglomerate. And just one bad experience from a single hotel will cost you bad reputation over the rest. If I return, I hope not to see this staff of yours again.

Overall a good stay thanks to comfortable room, extensive breakfast, nice wellness, central location and free minibar. Points to be improved: long check-in and check-out queues (have seen the queues during the entire stay, process seems to take longer than in other countries - staff is friendly though and apologizes for the waiting time) + I don't think to have receive an upgraded room (Gold member). All other Gold benefits were granted. Also like the possibility to refuse housekeeping in return for a drink or extra points!
