I had checked in online so was welcomed and given room keys quickly. The room was clean ,comfortable and quiet. We had some bar food which was very nice . The breakfast was ok ,although very crushed and busy in the restaurant.

Fine until I was over charged by £75

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Upon arrival we have taken an authorization on your credit card with chip and pin for a total amount of £258.85 corresponding of the night (£185.85) and £73 to open an account to charge in your room in case you consume something in our outlets. Upon departure, you did not have any incidentals so on the £258.85 authorized, only £185.85 has been charged and the remaining amount of the authorization has been released. After confirming with the bank and the credit card provider, the £73 has been released on 14th April 2019 and usually take in between 5 to 15 working days to see the credit on your account. Great stay, great hotel. Only downfall was that the reading light was broken and we requested it to be fixed. Nothing was done or mentioned about it. Not a big deal but it would’ve been nice to be informed if it couldn’t be fixed etc. Overall we had a great time though. Thank you

Stay was fine but service and convenience is going backwards

The room was fine and the hotel is fine. I have stayed with you many times, however recently it is not as satisfactory anymore as it used to be. Mainly small things that add up. Most importantly, my Le Club Accorhotels points (N° 30…6034) have not been added to my account for the last five stays in the last two months. Because I use an agent to book my travel, your new computer system does not recognise me as the person booked so points don't get awarded. Frankly my loyalty is partly based on the club benefits and I am considering switching hotel group. Other things are little convenience items as having no newspapers any longer at breakfast or charging a service fee at the bar for a drink I have to collect from the bar myself. All rather disappointing little things taking the positive experience away.

The reception staff always prioritise phone calls as you approach the desk. The customer approaching the desk should take priority. Behaviour at reception was ultimately rude dismissive non attentive and confusing. Payment for room is unnecessarily complex compared to every other hotel we’ve stayed in. Housekeeping staff forgot to leave room key and crucually forgot to replenish English breakfast tea bags. Safe broke down twice. Bed and shower excellent, bar staff friendly and helpful. Location good.

The rooms were clean and the location was very convenient close to the shard and good restaurants/bars. I felt that the room was lacking necessary amenities (like conditionner, knitting kit...). We also could not find a concierge in the hotel that was able to give us advice about the region/location around the hotel.

We felt the room was okay, the bathroom was in need to some tlc in places. The shower screen didn't have a seal so when we had a shower it soaked the floor. And I was extremely disappointed with the room with a 'view'. There wasn't a view at all it was a block of offices and a carpark. The main reason I booked this hotel was for the so called view. Other than that I felt the staff were very friendly.

As usual, a pleasant stay. However, we were not notified in advance that: * the restaurant was a building site. * we would be beset by loud piped music in the bar morning, noon and night. * there was now "live" music on Thurs, Fri and Sat evenings. No longer a serene oasis, Knowledge of these issues might well have prompted us to stay elsewhere.

Recently stayed for a weekend as a family of four. Hotel is in a good location with clean, spacious family rooms and comfortable beds. A good selection of food available at breakfast. Reception staff are amazing - nothing was too much trouble. Only criticism is the smell - the hotel seems to use a strongly scented air freshener in the lobby/bar/restaurant area. While I'm sure many people enjoy the scent, my wife and daughter found this to trigger their hayfever/allergies, making breakfast rather uncomfortable for them.

Good room, quiet location. all extras one is expected to find in a hotel like this. However it does limit the hanging and laying space of one's clothing if the room is occupied by two people and for more than one night.

Unable to get any response from room service and room had a bad stale smell

Two weeks running I have been unable to contact room service. Previous stay receptionist had to get them to call me back which took around 30 mins then when food arrived the chips were raw. This week I gave up calling after 12 attempts and done without food. The room also had a bad stale smell Not likely to be back
