« Exceptional Customer Service from Start to Finish »

Check in was friendly but also professional. We were given an upgraded room which we appreciated very much as we have Nespresso at home. And, we were treated exceptionally well when we had requests for extra coffee and water. We have been ACCOR members for many years but we booked this time through a hotel booking site, so were delighted to be treated as loyal customers without the hotel knowing we were.We normally choose Novotel Canary Wharf, but now would prefer Novotel City South!

« Mostly good, some bad. Don't know if I'll return. »

Hotel was in general, good. The restaurant and lounge were welcome places to visit. My main issues with my stay were (1) Truly bizarre switches and controls in the room. I had difficulty turning on lights, turning on the shower / sink, etc., and (2) The shower control hit you with a blast of cold water whenever you shut it off .. Ugh! Not a fun experience.

« A bit disappointing this time..... »

My room was cold despite turning up the heating controls, this didn't seem to make any difference. The hair dryer in the room was really poor and barely worked. I stayed for 3 nights and also found the vegetarian food for main meal options to be very limited, although very tasty and of a good quality. Staff in the restaurant were all also very friendly and helpful. At breakfast the hot food wasn't hot at all, in fact for all 3 mornings the baked beans were luke warm.... (not appetising!) and the cooked tomatoes fridge cold in the middle on one of the mornings. When I checked in I wasn't told about the hotel facilities, I had to query if I had an allowance for my evening meal through the booking (which I had) and I was literally just given the key and told my room number. Not up to Novotel usual standards or my expectations having stayed at this and other locations on several occasions.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. It was my husbands 50th birthday during our stay and a bottle of wine and some fruit was left in our room which was much appreciated.

Staff were great, room fine, public areas nice and a good breakfast. Only complaint would be the range of draught beers available at the bar is a little poor when compared to other hotels.

Good, nice facilities and room. I did have to request a TV remote twice, the first one came did not work and had to wait for a second remote to arrive, this took a total of 55 minutes to come. I did request no icecream on my room service dessert as I do not like it, when it came I had icecream.

Had a pleasant stay at you hotel. Good area, nice services, very friendly staff. Only issue was with heating system which seemed not heating. However after reporting it, I got an electric radiator which fixed the issue. Noise in the bedroom stated below was not an actual issue, but if I tick the "Yes" on the previous question, that comes up as a default and cannot be changed.

« Time wasting experience »

A short stay for the family with children and precious time wasted waiting for room to be ready. Then giving us a room without enough beds. Time was a very important factor for us yet after paying for breakfast we were met with a queue into the reception as there wasn’t enough tables to serve everyone. After standing in line for over 10 mins we asked for a refund and left to get breakfast elsewhere. A disappointing service all round.

« Decent hotel well placed for London Bridge »

The room was fine, the bathroom excellent and overall enjoyed my stay. The hotel does lack 'charm' and I could not call it cosy but it did the job. Breakfast was fine and the bar had nice light meals but again lacked atmosphere. Overall, no complaints though and only 5 minutes or so from the underground
