Hot in the hotel. What you called air conditioning is laughable and don’t use the UK efficiency as an excuse because this isn’t my first time in london. No WiFi for two days and yet I’m paying for that advertised feature when I booked the room? Front desk only picked up 1 of the 10 calls?!?! Restaurant staff was nice.

Enjoyable stay that sadly ended with a disappointment the morning of leaving

Impressed by the renewal of the hotel. The lobby, bar, restaurant have for sure being an improvement. We had to catch our train at 6.15am on Friday morning so we've asked for a breakfast to go and a taxi. Breakfast to go was just an appel and one croissant (not price quality you'd expected from Novotel). The taxi wasn't an official london black cab, secondly, payments were only accepted by card if we gave our cardnumber, security number,.... Hence we made a stop to withdraw cash. And 25gbp to go to st Pancras? In short, Friday morning gave us the feeling being ripped off and ended out business trip with a negative feeling which is such a shame.

Check was slower than normal as there was an issue with the computer system and room keys. Originally I was given a room which I went up to and opened the door to find a couple already in the room. I came back down and this was quickly resolved as I was given another empty room.

Hotel is great, nice bar and friendly staff. Unfortunately I’ve stayed twice in 4 weeks and both rooms were in excess of 25degrees all night long so I was unable to sleep. The comfort cooling as the manager described was not working in either room. I am a building services engineer. The fan in room 341 is seized and requires a new motor. On the visit of 30th June I was offered another room but when I checked this, the comfort cooling wasn’t working in that room either. Unfortunately I wouldn’t consider returning to this hotel in summer months.

We have been in the same hotel, Novotel City South, and we think it was nicer last year. Hotel lobby looked bigger and breakfast had more options. In our room there was some water on carpet, probably from bathroom and the smell was very bad. Noone had asked us to change the room...we had informed our cleaner, but nothing :( Staff was very nice and everything else was great!

- bad room maintenance - water clogging in sink (fixed after requests) - water not draining in bathtub (not fixed) - air not working in room. Hotel offered a different room however never explained time restrictions. - Lights in room would not switch on - Same breakfast choice everyday. - House keeping not replinishing toiletries Hotel staff for first few days was very transactional. E.g. when I notified about toilet paper being out and asking for toothpaste, I was told that hotel charges for toothpaste. However, when I requested for shaving cream I was not told of any charges.
