I was a little disappointed, Novotel supposedly is higher quality than Ibis, but the Ibis Moinhos de Vento as an example, is a lot better quality wise than Novotel Tres Figueiras. The ONLY thing that was better, was that the rooms are definitely bigger, but the towels were horrible, breakfast was just ok, the pillows that were in the closet were in bad shape too.... the staff was really nice and it was clean, but other than that, there was nothing better than an Ibis....

Bed was very uncomfortable as well as the pillows. Only 2 pillows on a queen bed. Only 1 bath towel (very small and rough). Food was cold and over cooked Internet dis not work most of the time

mostly bad ,is not a 4 stars hotel ,at least the bathroom is probably a 3 star ,the towels are 2 star or less, there is not a bidel ,not a hairdryer ,not a bathtub . the air conditioning was all the time with problems ,in autumn cold nights was delivering cold air. the bar does not have a bartender as shown in the promotional video in the front desk ,and when i ask the employees about if they have bartender as in the video ..they answer to me 'that is in another hotel",at the bar when I ask for cocktails list or menu..the answer was "only caipirinha" the food served at the very small night restaurant was not done by a chef that know his profession , was very simple and not as shown in the menu.the wind chill entering the hotel front desk from the automatic doors make catch a cold just for the time i was sited at the bar ,please put a double door in autumn and winter. many other things where not as supposed to be in a 4 star hotel

« OK hotel for business, but very "aged" »

The hotel is close to major companies and therefore conveniently located for business stays. The reception / ground floor seems renovated, however this is not the case for the rooms and other areas. The rooms are spacious, but the interior seems outdated. Further the room is equipped very basic. Generally i expect a different standard from 4* hotels: Iron equipment, bathrobe, etc. On the last day the water supply stopped working, meaning shower, toilet etc did not work. Also the gym was in a quite desolate condition. The stepper did not work and 2 out of 3 treadmills were not working. Breakfast was very good and rich. Overall the hotel has great potential but needs rennovation and an "upgrade" of facilities.

« Please review the quality »

In my opinion the hotel was good, but nowadays the quality is deepping. The wi-fi signal is poor, is the twice time that I have problems with wi-fi connection, was necessary talk with the support, more then 2 times, and the problem isn't not solved at all. In this last time, I was hospedaded in a room with a door to the next room, where the host was snoring all the long night. I felt me sleepping in a hostel, not in a hotel.

Comfortable room, staff very friendly. Breakfast good, though very long wait for a burger in the bar area, arrived luke warm after 35 minutes and chips 10 minutes later, and was only customer!

In my opinion, the hotel is not worth the price. The room was an improved Ibis. The pillows were not comfortable. The bed was ok. There was a constant noise of air conditioner, even when we had the AC off in our room. Shower was good. Towels were old. Breakfast is very good.

Stayed at the Novotel for three nights and was very satisfied overall. I didn't spend much time at the hotel due to a busy schedule, but the room was comfortable and the service friendly and professional at all times. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy, breakfast buffet varied and good (although bacon overdone two out of three mornings) and bar service friendly.

Poor service at the restaurant and valet parking (self-parking not available) staff. Front desk staff are ok, but not overly concerned with the poor performance of other members. Rooms are old, in need of an upgrade, especially in the bathroom. Poor internet service, slow and unreliable, with the annoying feature of expiring every 24 hours or so. Poor location, except if your business is within walking distance. If not, stay elsewhere.

I wasn't able to feel comfortable since no one speaks E. in Porte Alegre including the hotel staff. I wasn't able to order anything from the menu because it was in Portuguese and I didn't know what i was ordering. I guess I should have learned Portuguese before getting there because they don't oblige to the international guest and expect only Portuguese speaking guests.

We were pleased with our stay but have to point out a few things: 1) the towels (thin and hard) were far below standard for a Novotel, 2) the staff was not very attentive to replenish toiletries on a day basis, 3) the overall aspect of the bathroom is showing the age of the hotel (room 353), 4) we could not make local phone calls from the room, and had to call reception every time (the issue was not fixed during the stay), 4) R$36/person for breakfast is an overcharge for Brazilian standards (and I'm actually Brazilian...), especially when usually, breakfast is included. Other than the above, staff was very nice, location is great, TV is great, bed and bedding are comfortable, room was quiet.
