« Great holidays in Cusco »

I decided to spend New Year holidays in Peru and part of my trip was in Cusco. The location of the hotel is great - just 2 blocks away from Cusco's Plaza de Armas. The hotel itself is located in a colonial mansion with great patio where you can enjoy a cup of coca mate. The rooms are like any other rooms in Novotel, modern, very comfortable with all the necesary facilities. What stands out is the breakfast and room service where you can enjoy a variety of Peruvian and Andean dishes. The staff of the hotel was very welcoming and was willing to coordinate the excursions in Cusco. If, by any chance, I turn up in Cusco again, I'll definitely choose Novotel.

I decided to spend my New Year holidays in Peru and part of the trip was in Cusco. The location of the hotel is great - just 2 blocks away from Cusco's Plaza de Armas. The hotel itself is located in a colonial mansion with nice patio where you can enjoy a cup of coca mate. The room, as always in Novotel, was modern, clean, comfortable with all the necessary facilities. The thing that stands out is breakfast and room service, where you'll find a variety of Peruvian and Andean dishes. The staff of the hotel was always very welcoming and were always willing to help coordinate the excursions in Cusco. If, by any chance, I turn up in Cusco again, Novotel will definitely be a hotel I'll choose for my stay.

We couldn’t fault the Novotel- room was spacious, bed comfortable, great bathroom and lovely staff. Location was fab. Breakfast excellent and a new dish or 2 each day which was interesting along with plenty of standard choices and eggs cooked to order.

We arranged for the hotel to provide taxi transfers to and from the airport. When the first taxi did not arrive, the hotel was apologetic and provided the return taxi at no charge. All other taxis were well organised. There was sufficient variety in the breakfast buffet and dinner menu. As this is an area that does not have safe drinking water, it was disappointing that the hotel only provided one bottle of water per person for the entirety of the stay and not mention if there was other access to safe and free drinking water.

Great place to stay and close to to the square and shopping. Breakfast was very good. The bathroom was small and needed supplies needed- lotion and shampoo filled every day

Stunning building, top-class staff. The only things which were not perfect were the air conditioning and the room fridge, neither of which produced much in terms of refrigeration.

Average breakfast but tasty mango juice and strawberry yoghurt. Waiters too eager to remove my plates when not finished my food was a bit annoying. Large rooms with best bath (for my long legs) in South & Central America! Heated bathroom tiles a nice touch. A true 4 star hotel.

The staff here are very courteous..we got an upgrade and the room was very spacious facing the main courtyard in this heritage courtyard setting. The location is amazing with few minutes walking distance to plaza armas. The breakfast is decent but not much vegetarian options. But when we requested the staff provided us with a plate of stirred vegetables..overall a very pleasant stay

Overall a nice hotel with an excellent location as it is very central to the main Cusco sights and convenient to access all travel agents and food places. The only thing I felt a little disappointed about was the quality of service - mainly service response times of staff - which was very slow

The room temperature was hot. The A/C - heating control was not working. I had to open the window to cool down the room. The coffee, pancakes and other hot meals were cold. They charged me a bottle of water and a soda from the minibar that I didn't consumed.

« Average room.... Staff were very good and eager to ensure a good stay... »

The beds were not that comfortable and there was considerable noise early in the morning in the hallways outside the room. This consisted of guests getting ready for tours but also there was quite a lot of staff radio chatter. It was clear to hear the desk calling staff on the radio and then loud responses from staff back.... You should work on making the hallways more quiet. Not everyone wants to be up so early.

« Great Hotel for Your Cusco Experience »

My husband and I stayed at Novotel Cusco for 3 days and then returned for 1 night after we completed the 4-day Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu. The hotel staff could not have been friendlier and were extremely helpful/responsive to all of our questions and needs. We stored our suitcases at the hotel while we were hiking and were happy to have a nice, clean room with a hot shower and a nice restaurant and bar on the premises both before we left (while we acclimated) and the night we returned from the hike. Bonus: The Pisco Sours are among the best you can find in the city. Overall, a great hotel for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it!
