A good hotel. The layout of the rooms is functional, without unnecessary extras. I checked in through the internet, but that didn't save any time. At breakfast, my identity wasn't always checked, which was odd.

« Poor and in-flexible Customer services. »

I am a frequent business traveller in many parts of asia and latin america. First experienced, Politely ask the Hotel Ibis Congress front desk to print the invoice with start date and end date for my references. Instead , i was told the format print out cannot be change. My opinion, the invoice start date and end date is wrong and shouldn't be on the same date. Second, ACCOR website portal says nothing on how to print history invoice. Interestingly, your website have no feature or function for customer to locate history invoices. In summary , Hotel Ibis Congress front desk very inflexible and un-committed and cooperative for Asean customer. I have joined many hotel programs worldwide and flying Oneworld program with highest tier. Accor franchise Ibis Congress really dissapointing and will never return again.

« Clean room with relatively good breakfast »

Compared to other hotels in Buenos Aires, I think this one was cleaner and had a better breakfast. The staff was mostly nice, but was not helpful when I noticed I was overcharged. It was by very little so I didn't insist on the complaint. I spent 71 ARS in a snack in the restaurant and was charged 106 ARS at the ckeck-out.

The staff was kind and helpful, breakfast great, the accommodations were fair for the price, the only negative aspect was the A/C, it was cold a few days and no heating was available, when asked the front desk lady expressed that since the heating system was central and a few days before cold air was provided at guests request, it was not possible to provide heating to my room, instead she provided a blanket.

« Good location and service »

Located across the congress square, restaurants nearby open until very late, so if you arrive later than 10pm you can still have dinner. Metro and buses whithin 2 blocks to get everywhere. Very helpful staff, breakfast available since 4.00am and buffet breakfast until 12pm on weekends if you want to wake up later.

As expected. Cheap, friendly staff. Clean but spartan (and a bit dated) room. Breakfast good but simple. Room was not cleaned one day. As with all the other ibis hotels I've stayed in, the cheap thin paper 'clean my room' or 'do not disturb' sign is pathetic - so flimsy and it does not stay on the door - how can the staff not see how many of these are lying in the hallways havign fallen off doors - and not work out they need a better quality or design of sign??? The metal piece sticking out of the floor (that the door can latch back on to) is dangerous - I injured myself when I walked into it in bare feet. Again, bad design.

1-. arrived early. Was given a room. Only 2 towels( same size for hands and shower), 1 small bar of soap, 1 small tube of shampoo, for 2 persons( !!) 2. I shaved immediately and noticed little or no cold water. When I entered the shower: there was NO cold water, and the hot water was hot enough to make coffee( !!) 3. I could not use the toilet for any heavy duty: the water tank was not holding any water. 4. Breakfast: the fruit was almost past due. Bananas were half rotten. Mandarins were dry. The coffee pot was emptied and nobody noticed, except the customers. To complete the picture: I complained immediately for 1 to 3 above and I was offered to send a maintenance man to my room right away. I had to turn that down: I was naked and my wife in bed already. They fixed that at noon. On 4: I could do nothing regarding the condition of the fruit being served. I had to request the refilling of the coffee pot myself. ------------ I signed the complaints book upon leaving, describing all the above. I received no apologies from you as an organization( the acting manager, did offer hers). I did not want to have this report on my experience. You insisted in your request to having it. ----------- I have recommended your hotel as recently as June this year, when my 3 children visited BsAs from the USA. With my kind of experience, I could not do that again. I am afraid I will have to look for something else in my next visit. I am sorry to let go this place, which I have used since 2005,

« No luxurious, but very functional. »

Every member of staff I met during my 10 days at the hotel was helpful and friendly. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Flexible breakfast times. What made a huge difference for me is that the ibis Buenos Aires Congreso is one of the few hotels in Buenos Aires that is fully smoke-free. Only downside, was that as in many other hotels, the free internet connection through Wifi was in general slow, and specially during evenings on some days became so low that it made difficult even to send e-mails.

Well located, however the facility need to urgently change the towels (over-used), dedicate more time on cleaning procedures (rooms) and train a bit more the front desk staff.

« When I stayed at this same Ibis 10 years ago it was so much better - and cleaner »

The soup festival was the high point of this experience, they were very delicious. But the room 1042 that I stayed 10 years ago as well, this time was very dirty. Mouldy ceiling, dirty floors (for a whole week it seems like nobody was sweeping the floors), cracked tiles in the bathroom and the room keys stopped working for 3 times during our stay at Ibis, which was very annoying. The flush of the toilet only worked once a day! It was really bad to have to worry about it. The shower was very nice and the view from the room too, but it was sad that the balcony/varanda of the room was no longer available to the clients. And one woman of the staff at the reception was with a very bad mood. Well, I can say that 10 years ago the experience at this same room and same hotel was definitely better. Hope the hotel get back to the good quality. And I have stayed at so many Ibis hotels at Europe, Uruguai, Brazil... Do I know that this time the quality of the service was not what I expected.

Ok, service is good. Rooms are ok, lot's of mosquitoes in the room. Window counter was dusty. No washcloths provided and no hand towel. Only 2 towels to dry off.

It was okay. As a reasonably loyal customer I perhaps expected a nicer room on a higher floor with a view and sunlight. Instead I was on the second floor on a side street with little sunlight, looking into the building next door
