pleasant staff, clean room, good value breakfast. Only two negative comments, Check in entrance smelled like fish and chip shop upon arrival, looked like kitchen door was open as smell was not there at breakfast. Sheets on bed were wrong size. I took off cover and top sheet as it was warm night and bottom and top sheet were short and could not have been tucked in

I spent 2 nights, a week apart at the Ibis Thornleigh. I had actually forgotten to book, so when I arrived & was told, I was a bit stressed....the staff were fantastic, organising the rooms I needed & adding breakfast for $1. Nothing was too much trouble for them & I will be staying again.

Friendly accommodating staff and a great value breakfast. Negatives- We booked for 2 adults and one child yet there were only 2 towels in the room. The facewasher in the bathroom was also extremely dirty/covered in makeup.

I found my experience okay and was pleased with the shower seat. However there was no comfortable chair to sit in the room on and that was disappointing. I realise it's set up for wheelchair but I ended up sitting on my bed as the provided chair is very uncomortable.

We found the stay satisfactory and the accommodation was located conveniently for our family visit and we could park close to the hotel. The breakfast was very basic and the room size fairly small and there was often a very unpleasant strong smell of spices (turmeric) in the elevators that lasted for the 3 days we were there.

Just the standard room to stay in. Some mould in the bathroom room and hair on the shower turned me off on the cleaning standards. Check in was the Longest process I’ve experienced in all my travels.

The only probem I had was finding the hotel. I was not aware of its location and happened to pass it threee times before finding it later in the evening. I could not fault the service from the staff, from the young lady I phoned saying I was going to be later than I suggested to checking out.

« Blackout during stay »

During my stay the hotel had a blackout lasting the entire time and gas was out too meaning there was no lights no computer system for secure check in and no hot water. While I understand it was not the hotels fault I felt concerned about the back-up check in procedure which was just writing everyones private personal details including driver licence and credit card number on a spare bit of paper that was not secured in any way (e.g. not placed in a locked drawer).
