« Convenient, Cosy, Congenial and quiet »

Wr have stayed here before and already booked our next stay. It starts art the front desk with friendly and helpful staff through housekeeping too. Meals are simple, enjoyable and well priced - drinks too. We have work in Newcastle and take the opportunity for a "breakaway" too. The ibis is asy walking to all conveniences inlcuding riverfront entertainment, beaches and Darby Stret the foodies paradise. (sort of trip is "Couples and Business".

I called the day prior to request an early check in so sure enough our room was ready when we arrived in the rain at just before midday! I travel A LOT for work and was pleasantly surprised with bed comfort and that we could set our own AC temperature SO many places don't let you! Staff were also great at arranging a late check out on Sunday :-)

We had a short but great hotel experience. I am an Assistant Manager with another Accor property so great to be taken good care of by our colleagues. The check-in was warm, done by the AM on the afternoon and a trainee who was also great. The AM noticed that we were three adults and that the room we booked wouldn't be suitable, so offered us a better configuration showing she was responsive to our needs. The checkout was smooth, and the welcome drinks were a really nice touch, allowing us to enoy a cool beer outside after a hot train trip from Sydney. The bar and breakfast area is really nice and the chef made great coffee, great to have them out the front where the guests can meet them.

Very comfortable bed, minimal noise heard from other patrons, breakfast for $1 was a bonus! Close to town and the river, many restaurants and nightlife around, but far enough away from the city centre to still access easily by car.

Overall a good stay the room was clean and comfortable and quite, the breakfast good and all staff I encountered were very professional and pleasant. Other than having to move rooms just after checking in due to ozone machine in the room my stay was uneventful.

I had already checked in for 2 nights but to due family issues I could only stay for 1 night and at 10:30pm reception was great at refunding and making sure everything was ok.
