« Rooms were upgraded on one trip and down graded on following trip »

Each trip is a surprise. I had stayed at level 5, double floor unit on one trip, (Book by our local McQuay Factory). The following trip, I was assigned to a standard room, then in May I was upgraded to Room 1113, Now, I am down graded to a standard room 730. This is the default hotel of choice for Daikin Singapore, but me and my colleagues (Tan Kheng Boon, Leong Yao Wei, etc) do not feel valued for our business with Novotel Wuhan.

« Excellent hotel. Weel appointed. »

Well located - close to good restaurants and shops. Excellent rooms - well appointed, very comfortable beds. Great food. The staff were very friendly and of great assistance. We loved this hotel. We got a great nights sleep after some hectic business the day before.

I have stayed in more than few Novotel hotels in various Cities in China but this one in Wuhan was my first. Unfortunately it is poor room ambience, comfort and facilities all are not up to the usual standard of Novotel.

« the worst excutive lounge »

This is the worst excutive club floor hotel i stayed. The front staffs at lobby is friendly, helpful although check in take more than 30 min for 4 rooms. But when we are access to the excutive club floor during happy hour, i take 1 glass red wine, then i ask still available? The staffs told us "No More". After that, i take 1 bottle beer (all self services at club floor ) to my father in law, i would like to take another beer for myself, the staffs said "no more ". Oh my god, 1 glass red wine and 1 bottle beer at CLUB FLOOR for 9 adults booking with 4 rooms. .... i never have this experience before since I join accor advantage plus 3 years ago and stayed all of the club floor. So, why i made reservation for club floor. I hope accir group shall explain to me or compensate my loss. I booked my hotel because of your accor brand but I really disappointed with this service. However, the staffs at lobby and customer service is very good and helpful. But the worst club floor and staffs at club floor. .. self service, no wine and beer for HAPPY HOUR 。。。I saw others people got fried rice, then I ask the staffs, she said have menu to order for each guess, But NEVER let us known. Normally check in shall at club floor, no service provided, i check in at lobby more than 30 min without welcome drink s for my family... what is the priority as a accor member and booked club floor? ?????

« Worst hotel ever »

As a Accor Platinum member, this is the worst Accor hotel that I have ever stayed. Old hardware, no service, small room with bad air smell, no benefits as a Platinum member. Strongly suggest everyone avoids choosing this hotel.

« My worst experience with Accorhotels so far! »

We travelled to Wuhan beginning of June for a weekend break and chose Novotel. As our flight was delayed, we arrived to the hotel around 2am feeling very tired. During check-in, we were told that our booking could not be found and that they didn't have our details. We were asked to show our booking details but as I didn't print it I had to login to my email. At first I was told there was no internet in the lobby, so I used my own mobile data. But the reception was terrible and I had to move around and still couldn't get a good signal. Eventually, the check-in guy told me that I COULD get wifi but I had to stand in the middle of the lobby. After showing him the email 30 minutes later, he told me that since the booking information was not in the system he couldn't do anything. He could only offer us a room and deal with it in the morning. So then why ask me to show him the email in the first place? He also added he couldn't guarantee the rate that I was given until the morning. We gave up arguing with him and got a room as we were really tired by then. As I am a platinum member, I asked about free breakfast and use of lounge. He then told me it's only for 1 person and I would have to pay extra for my partner. I told him I never had to pay extra because we got a room for two but he insisted I would be charged. Then he said it would depend on the booking on my email, which I already told him was for two. Again, I got tired of arguing with him and just told him to give me the keys. He said he would leave a note for colleagues in the morning to check and confirm. The next morning we were told no one from the previous shift had left any note regarding our case. So I had to explain everything again! They told me I will get a reply later that day. Around 3pm, I received a call to say they still couldn't find my reservation and asked for my accorhotels confirmation code (This is the code I wanted to give them earlier but they told me they don't need it!). That was the last call I got from them. When we got back to the hotel at night, the same guy at the check-in counter told us that the case was settled and they found our booking but no one called me. During check-out, they didn't seemed to know what happened and again I explained. To add to that, wifi in the hotel is terrible. I couldn't connect to the wifi during my stay. Lobby is also not well managed with lots of noise and people smoking everywhere. I will not be coming back here again.

Travelled to Wuhan for business and only spent one night in the hotel. Arrived late (about 8.00pm) and left early (6.00am) for the airport. Booked executive floor for access to the Executive Lounge which I think was rather poor. Limited snacks available, had to request a cold beer and no wine seemed to be on offer. Had dinner in the restaurant which was OK if a bit slow especially as there was not many people in the restaurant. Food was OK, not great but not bad either. There are a nasty incident just outside the window from where we were sat. A local thug was being rather violent to a girl, pulling her up from the floor and choking her. They had come out of the hotel, as had some of his hangers on / bench men. Being a foreigner and not speaking Chinese there was no way I would do anything especially being so outnumbered. However, the hotel security staff just wandered about and turned a blind eye to it all. I was expecting the police to come at any moment but it seems that the hotel security didn't call them. Perhaps this was normal for the hotel? Room was reasonable and comfortable and check in and check out was efficient and quite quick. It's not a hotel or city I would rush back to but I have stayed in worse places. One thing that always puzzles me is why do so many Chinese hotels not have a designated bar area. It seems the restaurant double up as a bar but it's not the same and certainly not a comfortable. Perhaps there isn't the demand and local Chinese aren't interested in having a bar area.
