We have had an excellent stay at the Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge. The room was clean and spacious. We hate at the Paris Budapest Restaurant and the food was delightful as usual. They had a menu with pumpkins matching current season. The quality of the staff is outstanding and irreproachable. They’re always welcoming!

« Nice hotel, decent sized rooms, good service. »

Bad shower, impossible to keep the floor dry. Facial tissue box was empty and never replaced in spite of our request. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Street noise a little loud. Breakfast buffet was ok, but ordering eggs was difficult, not enough waiters. Great location.

A very pleasant surprise since our cruise ship had to divert passengers due to low water levels on the Danube River. We were tired from traveling and the Sofitel was the perfect property to recover at. Comfy rooms and a wonderful soft bed to sleep upon. The restaurant and breakfast buffet food was abundant and delicious. I would definitely return.

This hotel is in a great location on river, near hop-on/hop-off bus stop, etc. It's clean, elegant, spacious rooms, mini-fridge, etc. The buffet breakfast is awesome. They can arrange taxi to airport for the 6:30am flights, etc. Highly recommend it.

Rooms are bad for the Hotel with 5 stars. It takes 20 minutes for breakfast, although it has free tables. Rooms without balcony and natural ventilation.

« Not What I Was Expecting. »

Having stayed in European Sofitels in the past I was expecting more. WiFi on the first floor where my room was varied between absolutely horrible and unusable and no convenient outlets for charging. The room itself (a two room suite) varied between filthy (living room - had to move the furniture due to aforementioned no outlets - there were dust bunnies bigger than my English bull dog behind them, along with bottle caps, news papers from 1982, etc). Coffee and mini bar were never restocked the entire trip. Staff came across as friendly, yet condescending.

The receptionist for club lounge and consierge was inhospitable. They acted kind of stuck up. I’ve stayed at various hotels. But I was disappointed in this hotel. I don’t want to stay at Sofitel Budapest anymore. And I don’t recommend this hotel anymore.
