I've stayed at this Ibis several times now and it serves its purpose well - providing somewhere to sleep over for a night when travelling. If I have a complaint, it would be the noise of the air-conditioning, which in some rooms is too loud to have on all the time or when getting to sleep. You have to make sure you cool the room down when you're out of it and then turn it off once you return. Never used the catering facilities as they seem so ridiculously expensive - even the prices on the garage forecourt next door seem cheap in comparison.

Reception was very unfriendly.questioned why the website did not indicate the cost of a pet. All in all it was not a friendly reception. Everything else was fine. The checking in procedure was lengthy and I could not understand why my wife had to sign a separate check in.

Dear Customer Thank you for taking the time of writting your review. I just shared with the marketing department your demand of indicate exactly the price of the pet. Now it says is a paying service. The cost is 15€ per pet per day and is the same in all the ibis of Spain and Portugal. On the other hand every single person that stays at a hotel in Spain has to give his identification details at the check in. This might take a bit longer at the check in but is for your security. We found the entrance confusing and not properly signposted, we had to go around the road system a second time before we worked out the need to enter through the garage next door. The staff were friendly but were bemused when I said we had a dog with us and had requested a ground floor room, we were on the fist floor when there were rooms free on the ground. The menu clearly stated "Fillet Steak" which when it was served was a tough piece of rump. The salad however was very good.

Would not stay again, although the staff were very nice is is such a disjointed place, in my opinion there were not enough staff. long wait at the bar for a drink, food not great, some food returned whilst I was waiting for a bar person. also wanted to charge me 64€ wh n I booked online it was 49€ the reception tried to tell me it was to cover any extras, took most of the evening to get the room at the rate booked online. No Wi-Fi when we arrived so could not let family and friends know I had arrived safety. it did start working later in the evening. not an experience I want to repeat.

Dear Mr. Froggatt Thank you for taking the time tell us your experience. I am happy to hear that you have a nice night sleep. On the other hand I am sorry If the whole experience didn´t meet your expectations. I feel quite confortable answering as it was me who did the check in and I apologize if I couldn´t make me understand properly. When you made the booking you decided to do a fast check out, that involves that we take a preauthorization on your credit card for the cost of the room plus 16€ for the extras. Why we do that? We want you to do a fast check out, I mean just drop the key and walk out. You clicked on that option and we followed the procedure. At the check in I explained you that we had blocked 64€ and at the check out We would charge the amount you really had spent. You told me you weren´t happy with that so I unblocked the money and you paid at the check out. That´s all. Regarding the waitting time at the bar, in hotels the rush hours are unpredictable manytimes, I am sorry if you have to wait a bit at the bar, we really try our best to minimize that inconvenience. It is true one plate was sent back to the kitchen, a client ordered "rabo de toro", he had never tried before that kind of meat, to strong for him he said, we offered him something else instead. Thank you again for your time and we hope to see you again at the hotel. And when booking please ignore the fast check out box. Best resgards Jesús del Barco General Manager.

Was not happy when checking in, I booked online for one price. when I checked in it was £20 more, had to go through a lengthy process to get it at my original booking price. Did not have breakfast as there were flies all over the meat & cheese. service in the bar was very slow, staff running between reception desk, bar and kitchen. all very basic really, not what we are used to. The room was nice and clean with a comfortable large bed. Wi-Fi was not working for most of the night, but did work after a few hours. We will not stay there again, although staff were friendly and trying hard to please, just looked short staffed,or not organised.

Always a pleasure to stay here - the only minor thing is there should be two spare pillows if two people are staying not one - which we have to fight over!!! I find it better if I am a disabled room on the ground floor which I was in June but in May I had to use the lift but this is just minor.

The room was as expected in an Ibis hotel, clean, comfortable and all that is needed. However, I had checked in online as I knew we would be late and tired. This was a waste of time as they either didn't have my details or ignored that I had checked in so we had to go through the whole process when all we wanted was to rest. Checkout was fine and quick in the morning. We didn't stay for breakfast as we had a long drive. One Point you could improve is that I think there should be water in the room for guests as standard.

We have stayed at the Ibis Valladolid several times before and have always been really pleased with our experience It is a perfect stop off enroute from Santander/Bilbao down to the Algarve and again on the return journey. The few staff are incredibly hard working while covering all aspects from checking in to waiting tables, helping with enquiries to serving at the bar. They are friendly, polite and eager to please and make a real effort to ensure the stay is a good one. I have never been disappointed with our visits. Plus, Ibis are a dog friendly hotel chain so a perfect place to stay with our dog.

Arrived mid afternoon, plenty of free car parking spaces around the hotel. Greeting by reception was a little abrupt. Room on third floor typical of the older Ibis Hotels. The hotel is situated in the middle of a huge industrial area although there is a very large Carrefour 5 minutes away. Reasonably handy for the A62. We ate in the hotels restaurant for dinner as there are no other restaurants around within walking distance. The food was only average. The bed slid all over the floor and we also found the area to be quite noisy at night. Breakfast following morning usual fare from an Ibis Hotel, over 50% of the tables available had used breakfast trays on them and it remained that way after we had finished our breakfast. Checkout was just as abrupt as the check in. Not shown the bill but reception asked us to pay total bill, we asked to see the bill and a computer screen was turned towards us, there is your bill, asked for print out which we finally received and then payed bill. In view of the fact that this hotel is some distance from the centre of Valladolid and we were passing again we would stay at the Novotel which is much nearer the centre still handy for the motorways and a short walk into the centre of Valladolid where there are some very good restaurants.

Sited within sight of what looks like a small steelworks and a vast commercial estate, we didn't expect much, but the building was immaculate inside and out and the staff were wonderful: friendly, helpful, with at least a smattering of English and usually much more between them. The room was the best appointed Ibis room I have ever occupied - the bed was huge and supremely comfy with a large shower cubicle in a roomy bathroom.
