Hotel situated out of town with outdoor parking. We were traveling with a dog and were told we could sit in the bar area to eat - however when we wished to order we were then told that dogs were not allowed in either the bar or restaurant. We ate our meal at the low tables in the foyer which wasn’t very pleasant. The food was overpriced for the quality. Not very dog friendly so we would not stay here again.

We were served raw chicken didnt realise until we had eaten some.was offered another meal but surprisingly we had lost our appetites. We asked the next evening if it was still available as we were very hungry and eateries were closed that were close to hotel, which was honoured, whilst waiting 35 mins for salad and beef steak which was overdone dry and chewy we witnessed a very disorganised kitchen staff, hadnt a clue who ordered what meals were left on counter until someone remembered, meals were left on top of stove for upto 10 mins then staff had to find customer. Every day we had to keep going to desk to have pur card charged as wouldnt work . I found the stay quite dismal disorganised and farcical we will not be using an ibis ever again

I stay at the Ibis Alicante quite often. This time I booked the same night twice by mistake. The young man on the desk when I checked in said that it was no problem and that in the morning I would get a voucher/credit to use next time. The next morning I was told that Ibis could do nothing about it so you kept my money! I won’t use Ibis again.

« Elevator malfunction »

The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. We had a early flight so, the 4 of us were in the elevator by 3:35. With our 3 suitcases. Hit the button to go from the second floor down to the lobby, The elevator started and all of a sudden there was a loud bang and the elevator came to an abrupt stop. We sounded the alarm, and within a few minutes there was a voice on the other end. Unfortunately 25 minutes later we finally arrived in the lobby all hot and sweaty. We all hustled to The airport still in time to catch our flight.

The experience was short but very satisfaying. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfy. There was a lot of choice at the breakfast buffet. Only the supper was not perfect but that was expected. It was truly a good experience and we enjoyed our stay at the hostel.

From previous experience we expected a clean, comfortable room, which we got. It was a short stay before moving on to longer stay pre-booked accommodation, which we couldn't do until 2.09. The breakfasts were good value for money.

There was a slight mix up with the reservation, I was supposed to confirm before 6pm on arrival day, I didn’t see any messages regarding this and as I was traveling all day and at the airport for many hours before my flight along with not having any internet connection I wasn’t aware of this, it’s a pity Ibis doesn’t make more in contacting to advise that you must confirm before arriving, anyhow, the girl on reception sorted out the problem and fortunately found us 2 rooms, thankfully the hotel wasn’t full, we had a lovely meal in the restaurant and was served by a lovely french guy called Victor who was extremely helpful and offered loads of advise, a true credit to Ibis, we had a great stay and would thoroughly recommend, we will certainly be returning when we are back in Alicante,
