« Generally pleasant with small faults. »

The room and staff were generally good (absolutely nothing bad to say about the staff), the room however had some small faults. The toilet seat is rather high up in the air, the room was cold when we arrived, the light switches are too touch-sensitive (unintentionally turned them on during the night), pillows are too small and the drain in the shower did not work efficiently (it nearly overflowed while taking a simple, short shower).

Room was basic but clean. A few things in the room were not as they should have been. The window blind inside the window glass could not be opened and the window itself had limited movement, so there was no outside view. The shower screen did not close fully so always a puddle in the living area after use. The toilet was hung on the wall very high, it was not comfortable to use because of this.

I have only booked it as it was close to my seminar. I felt that the staff at check in were not too professionell. There is advertisment in the elevator about food options. I wanted to get something in the evening but there was nobody (no staff) I could ask. Everything looked empty and two people were dancing...(not sure if they where staff). Wanted to ask at the receptiin, but there was just a couple arguing with the checkin staff if they can have the room cheaper for just 2 hours. Well, all this made me very uncomfortable and I just got back to my room.

the staff were more friendly this time I have been staying.. so glad for that. The room was very comfortable and central heating was working properly. Breakfast was normal, maybe missiong some scrambled eggs or bacon or sausagges...

There was a amount of CHF 224,18 charged at my credit card without any notification from IBIS. IBIS has contacted me about this. In the night from Sa 03-11-2018 on Su 04-11-2018, there was a lot of loud talking and laughing coming out of airco tube in our room. This was around 04:00. I went down to the reception and the person contacted a person who came to our room. He heard the noise and said that this was because rooms are connected to each other via the airco tubes. We looked for the room and after about 5 min, the noise stopped. But, after 30 min the same noise came back. I went down again and the same man said that he couldn't help me this time because it was caused by two groups of people. I could not believe this! It had a very bad night because I could not sleep of this. The fact that two groups of people find it normal to talk loud in the middle of the night and that the reception would not help me was not what I expected from IBIS. Another thing to mention is that the toilet is mounted abnormally high. My height is 1m80 and when sitting down, I was not able to place my feet flat on the floor. Very very weird.

« The best experience i have had »

ibis is a nice place to live, the staff are welcoming people and friendly. We had some good time with them chatting and they helped me in showing the city. I am very impressed with the kind of the service they offered. One thing that need to be improved is the issue of breakfast, at least a guest deserves a breakfast in the morning, I hope this is something the hotel management should look at. The rooms are very small and basic, there is no cardboard, and no kitchen in the room. For me I am a good cook, I loved to cook for myself.

« Another issue with each stay, friendly staff cannot completely compensate »

My second time in an ibis budget: Last time, some of the room equipment was not functioning, this time, my room was heavily smelling of cigarette smoke. Unacceptable, I had to ask for another room which ws much more noisy (street). The staff was very friendly and apologized for the inconvenience.

« Good for a short visit »

We stayed here just one night before we caught the train to Geneva. It is exactly what you expect when you the IBIS Budget - clean, small room. The shower had GREAT water pressure. The breakfast was the standard European breakfast - breads, meats, cheese, cereal, hard boiled eggs. The hotel should buy some more hair driers since there are no hairdryers in the room. You have to borrow one from the front desk. When I asked for one, they had none left. I had to keep checking for one to be returned. Investing in several dozen more hairdryers is not that expensive!Like most European hotels, they don't really have A/C. It is impossible to get the temps down to 17 or 16 C at night. We had to sleep with the windows open to cool off. If you do this, bring earplugs because traffic noise is loud on the main road.

Online check in didn’t work. I have received an sms that key was ready but it wasn’t. Also when they prepared the key on the spot it didn’t work. Key also got demagnetized again next day. The sink in the shower didn’t work properly.

Unfortunately, I had some "Motten" in the room. The room has very thin walls - and I was benefitting from the neighbour's snoring. Very nice welcome by the lady who was managing the breakfast room, always much appreciated.
