After having issues with receiving the reservation numbers to access the hotel and then the automated check in machine crashed we eventually got into our hotel room which was very clean and the shower was fantastic. McDonalds right next door and Lidl across the road. The carpark is secure with electric gates to access. Overall very pleased with our stay and will likely stay again if we ever have to make the journey to Allaire in the future.

I was disappointed that, although shown on the television programme guide, BBC was not available. The only English-language news channel was German, DW, which was pathetic. Considering the number of guests who do not speak French sufficiently well but do understand English, even if only as a second language, this is not a good move.

Very noisy family above our room

We only stayed for one night on a journey to Cabourg ibis. The room above ours the family were arguing all night and banging and kept me and my wife up most of the night.

Generally good experience let down by the lack of receptionist on arrival. Had to use the check-in machine which was in the lobby, and this wasn’t straightforward until another guest who had already checked in showed us what to do. We were then unsure if we had to leave car details, and there was no info on anything in the room.

Everything worked efficiently. We had not booked in on line and arrived before reception opened, but it was easy-to-use technology to book in on machine at hotel and go straight to our room. Everything clean. It's a budget hotel and the room was tiny, as expected. Shower good and not too tiny! Double bed was comfortable (only once banged head on overhead bunk). Breakfast croissant was good. Rest of breakfast buffet was ok - juice, coffee, yogurt etc. Plenty of parking. Easy to find. Good choice of local restaurants. Perfect for one night stay. Only an hour from Calais, so we easily made 11.35 ferry crossing to Dover in morning. Staff friendly.

Private Families - 07/06/2019 AccorHotels review

We arrived on time for the booking - but were not happy with the room layout or to be honest the location of the hotel. It was intimidating that the hotel is placed within a secure compound - implying it was not a safe area and far far from a ncie part of the town. But it was the layout and how a male employee and two ladies interacted with me - which was why i gave the rating of one. IWhen i asked to see the room first - they let me - after i had to wait for some time - while the first female staff memeber ignored me and spoke continuously on the phone when it rang. as if these phonecalls were more important than a customer infront of her. Her interaction with me was impolite and gave me instantly a bad impression of your hotel. The male staff member noticed i had been waiting a while - while she appeared not to find my paid booking and i was told quite dismissively by the man how to find the room. Noone attempted to speak in english despite i asked - so i tried (very badly) to speak in French. We quickly saw the room layout would not work for us - as the booking was for myself and my adult son with Schizophreenia. We came down and tried to explain to the man - why the room wouldnt work for us. He said all the rooms in this Ibis were the same - except one which was a twin room and this was booked. This was in response to when i asjked - do you have any other room layouts. I tried to explain that i thought - your decsiption online of a bunk bed - meant there was a lower one too - which there was not - only an upper one overhanging the double bed - which i considered unsafe. Quickly this gentleman brought out a lady - and they proceeded to argue with me rather than listen. I tried to explain that my mother's funeral was the previous day - which was why we were having a break - and didnt want this animosity from these people. I asked them to stop and just answer one question - would they refund me the money. They said no and not allow me any space to explain - that in this case - there was nothing else to discuss. I tried once more to explain that as they wouldnt refund - for me the experience was over and i wanted to leave but as they wouldnt listen and the second woman continued in a dictaorial manner - i just left and will not use a budget hotel like this again I think your staff let you down as they could have handled this situation with much more politeness - i also think you should explain on your website - that a bunk bed means only one upper bed and no lower bed. If i had seen this - i would not have booked this room. In this case - i think you misprepresented the room in your advertising of the room online.
