On the first day, the checking was all fun, the team were very helpful despite the challenges Ruth my credit cards. I had to pay with cash later My friend who didn't have a reservation for his third night was later booked to share my room for 3 nights. The hotel was always fully booked. And very busy place. I had planned to change hotel because events centre was one hour by car from the hotel. Because of the comfort I stayed all 5 nights a Mercure aeroport

« far far from serving customer needs, one of the worst customer experience ever »

very disappointed. Reception desk attitude was really disaster. Idea is to help people, provide guidelines and so on, but from them I receive no help; When I asked for taxi, reception lady told me "go out and catch it yourself" - even though she knew I am not speaking french. when I asked for rates at consiliere desk, they manage to cheat me, saying they are offering better rate then reception desk, but still much lower than real value on black market. When I asked for iron and iron desk it took around 24h to manage to get one. My conclusion is actually they have only one in whole hotel. when I asked again consilliere to call local numebr of my driver (due to fact that driver do not speak english, nor I speak french and beside I do not have locla phone number, consilliere asked me "why you do not call it yourself?".. and so on.. attitude vise, I would give them huge minus and send them on additional well behavior education school; the room its self, is not bad not good; very average, typical Mercure style, bit lower cleaning level, but its acceptable due to fact its Algeria; Food - 3 star level, but stuff in restaurant always provide fresh orange juice on request, so this was highlight of whole staying. Bar serves all drinks with nuts and thats seconds highlight, and on the top of it, THEY SERVE IT WITH SMILE, which I can not say for any of the other stuff in whole hotel.

It was good and would say better than last time. You got new beds in the room which are very comfortable. A lot of improvements needs to be done in Bathroom; as taps and showers are in a bad condition and very outdated. Didn't feel very hygienic as well. Breakfast is really focused on non vegetarian tastes. Nothing hot is served for people who are vegetarian. It is a big shame when most of hotel chains around the world are going green and serve healthy options. Chef needs to be given a training on cooking veggie hot stuff without eggs, fish, meat etc. Waste of 2000 ALD on breakfast and disappointment. I know you will say there were various breads but they are cold. Sorry breakfast is a big let down first thing in morning to start the day. Also may be the windows of the hotel needs a cleaning from outside very dusty and filthy.

- Old room , old bathroom - Safe did not work before my check out. I had to wait 1 hour to solve it - Check in queues long 20-30 min waiting - BAD BAD Internet speed and stability - Front desk does not pick up my phone and this feels me unsafe in the hotel in case of emergency Despite of above all , front desk and housekeeping members were so kind and tried to help.

Room was old and dated. No basic modern conveniences like sockets near bed to charge mobiles and laptops also. Check out took forever and staff had to be reminded to ask airport shuttle to wait for me even though delay was due to reception staff in check out. Restaurants stop service 15-30 minutes before advertised time for both breakfast and dinner. Typical French laziness.

Safety first in Algiers and I felt very very safe the whole time. Nice lobby, good location if you work at the airport or have a late/early flight. Breakfast was ok, good pancakes but the bread and pastries are very dry and the bread of the hotel restaurant is so much better. Room service was good. I have used the laundry service twice and do not recommend it. It was overcharged on the final bill and the laundry actually damages the clothes, losing the colors. They have two restaurant, one algerian and one asian. Both are good but if you walk just behind the hotel, you will find a modern mall with much better priced options. A shame that the hotel does not have a door leading directly to the mall since as of now we have to walk 500 meters to reach the mall when in reality it is just behind

« So and so »

It is a big hotel and I liked that you have more options of restaurants, but feels a bit old and the showers were not that good (a bit broken & not too much pressure) and in the room many times it was cold , which made me sick in the end. Also, the staff is friendly and nice, but sometimes things move so slow... I had to stay 1 hour and a half for check out... and it wasn’t that busy... first the pos internet wasn’t working properly, then the paper ... and other discussions . And the most stressful thing was that they blocked me approx 4000 euro from my card (as I guaranteed for 2 more colleagues) and when I wanted to pay they unblocked the guarantee, but this didn’t allow me to pay for them anymore (as we know that sometimes it takes also one week for the guaranteed money to return). Besides these things, people are friendly and the atmosphere is ok.

It is an old and dirty hotel. They never offer me any room upgrades even though I'm a platinum member. One evening I have been to the restaurant asked for a mixed grill. After 1 hour without my meal I had to cancel the order and left the restaurant which was almost empty. I'm only staying because of its location and my loyalty card.

+ is the gym and the good cleanleaness in the rooms + good buffet - the accomodation was invoiced more expensive for one my collegues for which I payed with my card, After a intense debate with the reception manager, he agreed there was a system error and corected the bill. -In the last day, when we checked the buill, we identified an amount of 4000 dz was added to the bill, as "ventes directes" and we did not recognised the sale. After we asked for explanations, the amount was charges as a deposit for an ironning machine without us beeing informed. If we were not carrefull, the amount could have been extra charged.

The Front Desk did not treat me with respect upon check-in. They made me wait to find a room but processed other clients who came after me. It should be noted that I indicated my estimated arrival time when I made the booking and I got a confirmation. So I expect to find a room ready upon arrival. It was also discriminatory to check-in clients who came after me while I stood waiting. I had to remind the Reception twice to that fact. Thanks
