My nights sleep was interupted repeatedly by a group of wholly inconsiderate people who were clearly suffering the effects of drink or other substances They were banging on each other’s doors yelling slamming doors After 30 minutes I rang the hotel(no internal phones) and spoke to the night manager who was aware of the disruption and had called security After a while things settled down but I was intending an early departure the next morning and therefore had little sleep before my journey My suggestion. Is that you display signs in the hotel and corridors clearly explaining the expected behaviour of guest and the consequences of not complying ie eviction It was only when security threatened this that the behaviour of the rabble on Friday improved but too late I use the ibis hotel at wellingborough just about every month whilst visiting an elderly relative and this is the first time it has been this bad. I think you need to empower your staff to take the appropriate measures to control this situation and support them by communicating to guests on registration how to behave because some clearly do not know I felt tempted to disrupt their morning as I was leaving early but of course this would have impacted on other guests who similarly had a disrupted nights sleep at their hands If I experience such a situation again I will discontinue using your hotel

This is truly awful behavior from guests that have no respect for other guests needs to rest. I have been enforcing during the night auditors training to give 1 warning and then call the police to evict the guests if the problem continues but it seems they are not complying with this. I will ensure all night auditors take our company training "How to handle complaints and deal with them" again to further empower them to comply with my instructions on this matter. I was disappointed with our stay. The room with clean but there were no hand towels, and the water in the shower was just above luke warm, although the water in the shower bar was very hot. Clearly there was a regulator to preven the over use of hot water to encourage guests not to stay in the shower for very long. The towels were 'flat' and an off white colour. The first thing I like to do when I arrive at a hotel is have a nice hot shower and dry in warm fluffy towels. This was a very disappointing stay.

Unfortunately being part of a chain, the number of towels in the room is decided nationwide for all Ibis. Also Ibis has stopped using hand towels for 6 years now. We do have regulators in place that can be overrided by pressing a button on the hot water tap. This is a child safety feature we have installed. Our linen is standard for all the Ibis Hotels across UK and they are according to the quality standard from H.O. Another enjoyable stay bedrooms kept clean and lounges thanks to the hard working chambermaids and housekeepers also staff looking after restaurant and front desk very proficient and accommodating,Andrew very helpful and others cant remember there names,also its nice to see Vanessa is still there who also is a credit to the Hotel.Just one little thing i didn't have a cooked breakfast at Hotel as i would have prefered fried or poached eggs not scrambled,so on a couple of occasions i went and had breakfast at the Priory where cooked breakfast was half the price of the Hotel but i know that is the norm in most Hotels,its not a complaint but i did enjoy your continental breakfast which i had.Thanks once again for your service and making my stay most enjoyable.

Both nights of my stay were disturbed continuously between 11.30pm and 2.30am by drunken people being extremely loud, banging doors, having what seemed like a party in the room next to me. I contacted reception who said they would deal with it. I think there was one attempt to kerb the people and that was it. After about 15 minutes noises elevated again. I stay at the Ibis Wellingborough frequently, I am really questioning whether I will use this hotel frequently going forward. If you do have a ‘group’ of people that have booked together you should split them up from having rooms next to each other or at least put them in one area that is not at all close to anyone else.

Ibis Wellingborough is our regular go-to hotel for family get-togethers, our Son lives in Gt Doddington. I booked three rooms for family members, 208, 210 and 120 On arrival I asked if my Daughter's family room (120) could be equipped with a Cot. A pleasant young lady said that it would not be a problem and assured me that she would see to it when they checked in. When my daughter checked in later that evening she was told all the cots had been allocated to other guests. On arriving in the room they extended the sofa -bed for the two children. The sheets were not cleaned properly and were sticky to touch which was very upsetting. The floor was also sticky in places to walk on and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned very well. While the issues were being raised with reception another guest who had been allocated a cot overheard the conversation and offered their cot as it wasn't needed. The following morning my daughter complained to your staff again about the state of the room. Your staff apologised and offered a complementary breakfast as compensation for the poor experience. The breakfast was inedible as it was not freshly prepared, items being under and over cooked, poorly presented and the plates were stained. Your staff apologised again stating that that as it was the week-end the staff were not the usual standard. They were so upset by the overall experience and the children tired after a disturbed night they decided to make their apologies to the family and set off home. In the five years we have been using your hotel we have observed standards falling from what was excellent to average now I would rate poor. This is the second visit to your hotel where my daughter has had problems. On a family birthday, last year their room lock failed locking them out of the room and their luggage in. It took 4 hours for staff and a emergency locksmith to give them access to their room and belongings. This ruined there week-end. I would like to think this is not typical of your standards and would propose the following. Rather than accept refunds, which have been offered in the past and we would probably use at another hotel I would appreciated three room passes for dates of our choosing for our next family get-together.

My brother was the one staying and he was impressed with the room ( apart from the carpet needing upgrading) and facilities. The only downside was that check in is now open plan and appears amateur compared with the rest of the hotel. We arrived late, got quite confused ( although stayed here lots before) and worried that staff and guests were placed in a potentially vulnerable position as hotel is out of town. Although there are no doubt cameras this gives a poor impression. You need to return to having a reception desk with staff at all times.

« Convenient and fine for the price »

Good: Easy to book, check in and check out; free parking; room fairly spacious and warm; bed clean and comfortable; not too noisy; Biscoff biscuits :-) Not so good: Faint sulphurous odour on arrival which had gone by morning; several broken coat hangers; large group of youths loitering in rear car park on arrival and a lot of rubbish (e.g. empty beer bottles) round edges of car park.
