Long time since I stayed at an ibis & that was probably in France. I remember that being very basic so I was nicely surprised by the quality of the room. the wet room type shower was excellent beats a shower in a bath! Won’t leave it so long for the next visit. The room was immaculately serviced, let down only by some dodgy looking stains on the carpet. The lady (I forgot her name on the card, but believe started with a V, room 221) deserves a special mention, partly because of the care in how she prepared the room, but also because she had turned the shower head to face the wall. Nothing worse than to turn on the water & get sprayed with cold water. Shows she’s put thought into it. Didn’t use the bar because I only saw lagers on offer, I’m an ale/bitter drinker & didn’t use the restaurant as nothing took my fancy on the menu but really good to see these facilities in house

I can’t believe we paid over £100 for a very basic, 90’s style room! No reception & 2 members of staff running around, doing reception, bar work, kitchen! Shocking!!

Weird check in arrangement....no reception and no one to ask. Clean comfortable bed and a good breakfast. Good value for money money.

Very noisy, bed awful. I was in a room next to the staircore on the 1st floor and above and very close to the reception entrance. The room walls and windows are terribly sound proofed and insulated, so the sound of guests coming up the stairs, into.yhe corridor and opening and closing doors is noticeably loud. This was not helped at all durinh my stay by the fact other groups of male guests chose to stay up until well gone midnight going out of the reception to smoke outside and due to the poor window seals and again no sound proofing you could hear them talking and drunk laughing. No one on reception was present or controlling and dealing with this. The bed mattress was wafer thin set down on a hard cushioned bed base. Awful. I have stayed before at this IBIS and had a better experience in a newly refurbed ground floor room. However this stay highlighted major flaws in the overall construction and sound proofing in the building and poor staffing means no one controls guest behaviour. I wont ever return to this hotel on this basis.

Was surprised to just see a podium for reception as last time we visited there was a proper reception desk and, as no one was there when we arrived, we looked further up the corridor for reception as it wasn't obvious at first that the podium was reception. Our room, 108, was ok but as we were half way along the corridor it took us a long time to get to sleep as people were walking up and down the corridor numerous times until the early hours! Breakfast choices very good but would have liked the choice of a fried egg. Staff all very helpful, especially the young lady that was on breakfast duty Mon 29 April 2019 at Wellingborough Ibis!

very bad experience. There was no-one to greet us. it took 10mins for the person to come and book us in. There were no hand towels in the bathroom. At 3am a noise like an extractor fan started in the room. We couldnt sleep the whole night. We looked for a phone to call the reception but there was no phone. At about 8am we decided to go down and complain to the manager but was told by the person who was in the breakfast section that he will not be in as it was a bank holiday but there will be someone at 10am who we can make the complain to. We could not wait till 10 am so we left very dissatisfied.

Budget hotel but really good value for money. Very clean, friendly staff and a bar on site. What more could you ask for? It's a little bit away from Wellingborough centre, but a taxi ride only cost £4 each way so no big deal.

Brilliant experience with very friendly service. Adapted wet room was fully accessible to me as a wheelchair user. Room was kept very tidy but duvet cover need changing but not once did this happen.

Room excellent but excessive noise from WC/shower extract fan from 5am. Have complained vis the website but NO reply to date!

The room was very spacious, bathroom was spotless, as was the room. Great TV, very comfortable beds and incredibly lovely staff. Would highly recommend. However the card/key not working and stuck out of room a couple of times. Very frustrating but the only bad thing I can say about the overall time spent there.
