« Perfectly satisfactory for my B&B stay during a sporting event. »

Pleasant, helpful staff. Comfortable bed, reasonable 'Hotel Chain' Breakfast. Minor problems with window and light had immediate, but unsuccessful attention. Overall a pleasant stay.

Pleasantly surprised friendly welcome all staff very nice. Room a very clean and bed very comfortable. Lovely bathroom and shower. Breakfast was a bit pricey however the food was of very good quality and plenty of choice

« Breakfast »

Was a comfortable room breakfast was nice however morning breakfast I went in there started plating up my breakfast went to get scrambled eggs not much left went to get mushrooms none left at all I ask one of the staff if there was any more bearing in mind I he to walk out of the breakfast area to the main entrance to ask a lady there as there weren't anyone around the area to ask no one tidy up the dirty plates left on tables and clearly not checking if there was any food that needed to top up, once I found Simone to ask for more mushrooms and got told more would come out I sat down started to eat my breakfast, when I came to the end of my food and my cup of tea still none had been brought out I ended up walking you room then got stopped by the lady I ask for them 30 mins after I had ask to be told they were still being cooked. So that morning I weren't happy with my breakfast as I paid for it and didn't receive what I wanted.

« Worst experience ever »

I am a repeating customer having stayed 4-5 times per year, every year since 2013... I even booked in ibis Wellingborough long before I became a member of Accor hotels. Last visit was a nightmare. Awful smell from toilet of room 206. Odor from dirty drainage system probably full of bacteria was so strong that we couldn’t sleep in the night although we kept window open and toilet door closed. Going to toilet or taking a shower made us puke !!! I complained politely twice to the lady at reception and bar, who said that they were going to resolve the problem or relocate us to another room. None of these happened. All 4 nights were awful. Checked out last Sunday 01st April early in the morning to drive to Santa Pod raceway, which is near, finish my race and then drove to London to check-in in ibis Shepherd’s Bush for another 3 night where the experience was 5-Star. In my country and in any European country and United Kingdom as well a phone call to the responsible hygiene or health department would create serious problems to hotel management. Please fix it. Attentive and polite staff, room was very comfortable and warm enough without the need for using the the electric heater! The only slight criticism is around the cooked breakfast food. Overall ok but the hash browns and bacon were quite dry/tough to eat, possibly due to being heated continually after being cooked. I appreciate this would be a difficult problem to solve having experienced this at other hotels! I would certainly not want this small issue to detract from what was a really nice stay and experience for us! Thank you and I would definitely stay again!

Great stay, staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The only negative is non alcohol until noon and if you turn the heating off the room has a smell. Therefore keep your window open and heating on.

« Room too cold and didn't like the check in and check out process »

The heater in the room was powerful enough and the room took all night to warm. I would have thought when it's cold you would put a card in the slot so the heating is on for arrival. I didn't like the check in process being checked in by phone and would rather have a physical invoice than the promise of an emailed one I didn't receive my invoice by email I wouldn't stay in an Ibis again if this is how they are.

It done exactly what we needed it to. A quick stop over visiting family nearby. Spotlessly clean in the room and should be proud of the level of cleanliness obtain from The maids. Minor thing was a bit slow replenishing the breakfast. Overall a great standard for its price.

Quick check in, option to chose a ground floor room (we are registered disabled) but didnt book a ground floor room. Mainly comfortable room but the chairs were not. A small empty fridge would be appreciated. I have medication that needs to be refrigerated, but due to very cold weather the windowsill was used!
