The usual level of accommodation you expect from the Ibis but on this occasion, people in the room next door decided to put their TV on full volume at gone midnight. Once i realised this was not a five minute thing and i wouldn't get any sleep, i toddled off to reception to try and find some assistance from the hotel. It is unwise in this day and age to risk confrontation with a complete stranger in the early hours as many a headstone will tell you, so i relied on there being someone to help, even if that was at the end of a phone. Unfortunately there was nobody around or indeed contactable at that time of day so i went back to the room and eventually, my neighbour ran out of steam and turned the TV off at around 3.30am.

Staff were polite. However my room neighboured what must have been the boiler room for the hotel. I was awoken at 5am by what sounded like a plane landing in the room. No one at reception so gave up at 5:45am and slept in the car.

We checked in and were given 12. Upon entering there was a decidedly nasty smell reminiscent of a blocked drain. We were immediately given room 18 which was fine. The receptionist said that housekeeping should have told them, which is a valid point. Apart from that everything was normal Ibis; still have dreadful towels though.

Customer service skills of the staff are lacking. The person doing the checking in process couldn’t do it quick enough to ‘process’ me and then return to whatever she was doing. The key cards were appallingly bad leaving me stuck outside the room with luggage unable to get in. The breakfast experience was totally self service including cooking your own eggs with no welcome or offers of help. One member of the kitchen staff was particularly rude when I used the ‘make your own eggs’ machine incorrectly. Staff are all task driven rather than customer driven. A pretty poor experience all round.

The booking in process was very easy although more warning regarding providing your vehicle registration would have been appreciated. The room was clean, fresh and comfortable. The bar facilities were very welcome after a long drive. I enjoyed the breakfast, there was a good selection. The checking out process was simple as the room had been pre-paid.

Beds to firm bedsheets had dirt stains and the room was to hot as could not open windows fully

Poor start - waited 5-10 mins to check -in at reception. Then key card did not work, so had to return to reception. Wifi signal poor in room - often an issue when staying at the hotel. However room was clean. Comfy bed.

No problems at all, comfy bed but had to sleep with windows wide open and desk fan on. The ambient temperature was not high in fact it rained most of the night, hotel was too warm!

I am an older lady, with arthritis. On arrival a helpful receptionist offered a room close to the lift on the 1st floor. Later I came to reception to request an iron and ironing board. A young, pretty girl went to a store cupboard and then handed me an iron, and then expected me to carry a heavy, large metal ironing board to my room. I asked her to bring it up instead. She agreed, but looked sulky. After a short time she knocked on the room door. I opened the door and she pushed the ironing board into the room and let go before I had a grip. The board fell violently and noisily to the floor. Your member of staff just walked off without checking I was unhurt. This is the first time I've had to complain about ibis hotels, the staff are usually so pleasant and helpful.

A comfortable bed, a good night's sleep and one of the best value hotel breakfasts in the UK. However, it was somewhat disconcerting to see rooms advertised for each night of the stay at considerably less than we paid many months in advance. Also the door to the room had a faulty hinge which made it difficult to close

Room was clean but needed some maintenance. Missing rail in 'wardrobe' Bathroom tiles loose and flooring rotten from the water that leaks out out the shower area Bed was comfortable. Room was hot and windows could not be opened fully, fan supplied was too noisy.
