« Extremely satisfied with our stay »

We stayed 2 nights for the F1 racing at Silverstone and were extremely happy with our stay. The hotel was in an excellent location for our needs being only 20 mins drive from the parking at Sixfields stadium & 2 mins drive from Sainsbury's. Fortunately, even with the windows open a tad, we were not bothered by noise at night from the McDonald's drive thru and also there was a small fan in the room which looked brand new, so this helped in the hot weather. We thought breakfast was really nice, you could have cereal, yoghurt, fruits, pastries, toast, crusty rolls, cheese, ham, sausages, bacon, beans, hash brown and scrambled eggs, we filled up very nicely thank you and a special mention for the tasty sausages! The bed was well comfy and the bathroom really nice with shower gel/shampoo attached to the wall. Our room (228) was spotless and quiet at night. For future events at Silverstone, we would have no hesitation at all in booking Ibis Wellingborough again.

Whilst a fan was placed in my room, it was impossible to sleep (as confirmed by other guests in the building) due to the heat. Whilst the hotel can't control the warm summer weather, only allowing a 1st floor window to open a few inches doesn't help and can create an unhealthy atmosphere in the room. I had to get up and leave at 5:30 for air!

The stay was very good. Rooms are luxurious for a budget hotel and the staff were very welcoming. I had some problem using the Accor App which seemed to lose the booking. In the end it was done manually at the hotel

For the amount of money i paid I expected more out of the hotel facilities. There was no air conditioning. There was one towel between 2 people. We were put in a room next to grass whilst we both suffer severely from hayfever. If the price was less I would have been more accepting. Friendly staff was the only bonus.

Very thing was very good. But you really need a reception desk. As I found it annoying having to stand waiting in a bar like setting for someone with a phone to walk up and talk to me. Bar that, it's a really nice hotel in a great location

The hotel isn't self is great, but the lack of a main desk/reception is silly and annoying. Some staff answering the phone have no clue as to what's going on and can't help at all. But other staff are fantastic.

Asked for an early check in as attending a wedding. On arrival room was ready. Checking was very quick and car booked in. Room was clean and comfortable. Good selection of drinks at the bar and at reasonable prices. Staff very polite and accomadating. Breakfast was very good wide selection and very tasty.
