« Clean and tidy »

Overall generally fine, the room was nice and clean, with a good shower, and plenty of space for cosmetics etc. My dinner (Sea Bass) was rather dry and had no vegetables (to be fair they don't sell themselves as a restaurant), and breakfast was pretty basic too. HOWEVER my main problem was my pillows - like sleeping on a brick. I ended up using my coat as a pillow.Staff were all friendly and helpful.

All staff very friendly, helpful and tolerant of my very nosey spaniel. We both were comfortable and relaxed during our stay. The "do not disturb" notice was respected, and allowed us some late starts to our stay. Highly recommended for respectful dog owners.

« A problem quickly solved »

We stay at this hotel a number of times a year, we always request a quiet room on the far end of the hotel facing the car park, on this occasion, we were given the room third from the end. When I entered the room, I could hear a drumming sound, which sounded like an air lock in the pipes, I reported the problem with the young receptionist, who came up to the room to investigate and agreed with me, she quickly found an alternative room which was quiet, so we were very satisfied with their effort to solve the problem.

I think the checking in system is daft, as the poor girl doing it had no where to rest her paperwork, she asked my name three times as her phone/booking ref. kept losing the information. A good old fashioned reception desk would be ideal!

We really liked our room this was my 5th visit to the wellingborough ibis. But im an early starter of the day. So was pleased to see that there was a early breakfast continental style. Available from 4am as iwould take up this opposition for about 5am. The first time i used the early start breakfast on the tuesday morning 30th of January was great. But sadly there was a different person on the Wednesday and Thursday morning that had not bothered to set much out at all. He told me there was no ham ect. Very unprofessional sadly .
