Ok - sheets clean, butcould you have rooms/floors that are pet free - walls thin and I don't want to hear dogs next door or be in a room that have previously had pets in. Communal corridors and individual rooms Looking a bit tired

Pets are welcome in all Ibis hotels, we do however not put pets on the 3rd or 2nd floor where you stayed however unfortunately not all guests declare their pets. I appreciate your comments on the rooms and corridors. The hotel is a 2 star budget hotel, however we are making small improvements, all the rooms and corridors have been painted and some bathrooms have had new flooring. We hope early next year, to replace some carpets and curtains. Should you stay with us again, I would recommend a 3rd floor room, I hope to welcome you back. I was concerned that it would be noisy being so close to the motorway but it was fine. Bed comfortable but sofa bed very lumpy. Lovely breakfast. If booking a room for 3 people I would however expect 3 towels and 3 mugs. Otherwise great for the price.

Twice had problem with our door key and getting in our room, had to go back to reception. One bedside light not working, did try to fix but still didn't work. Rooms clean enough, although carpet could do with replacing.

Room was lovely, stay was lovely and the staff were amazing especially Rachael. There was an awful smell from the toilet and shower everything i was used......drain prombles. Notice on the first night and rachael put some stuff down the drains and air freshner. She offered a room moved but we didnt want to as to late to move. All in all it was a great stay and we will be back, i work for mercure and if i had rachael part of my team i would be very greatful she was always there to help and a credit to your team.

Staff were nice and friendly. However, sofa bed was too soft. Could feel the wires when lay down. Shower water was too hot. We would ask to change the room if we stayed more than 1 night. The bathroom is smelly. The basin edge was flat so water went to the floor even though we tried not to splash. Only two towels for 3 people.

The sofa beds are designed only for small children, under the age of 12, was the person using the bed under this age? The showers can be regulated by pressing the red switch on the temperature knob, the team are on duty 24/7 and will always help do this, they will also provide extra towels, however i sorry housekeeping didn't leave enough. Stayed at this Ibis Hotel on numerous occasions with business trips. Decided to book again for a family trip to Blackpool, so three months in advance booked two interconnecting rooms. Checked the booking several times on business visits following on from that, to confirm all was well. Arrived on the booking date after a five hour trip with my wife and children to be told one of the adjoining rooms wasn't ready and still had someone in it. After an hour delay, the room was vacated, cleaned and we were allowed in. On returning to reception to book breakfast for the next two days, I thought it would have been a nice gesture to offer breakfast free of charge? This wasn't offered so I paid for breakfast. On coming down on the second morning, no record of my breakfast booking, so a long debate with the young lad on reception. Eventually after conversations between him and somebody else in the building we eventually got breakfast! Not one of my better stays at your hotel.

Firstly allow me to apologize that on bookings these rooms you haven't been provided with all the information, the interconnecting room,is the only room of these kind we have, room numbers are booked on request but can never be guaranteed. Occasionally rooms have late checkout and will not be ready until after 5 pm. So on booking this should have been explained to you, I will make sure that the new team are aware of this. I have checked the invoices and spoken to the receptionist who took the payment for breakfast and only 1 days worth of breakfast has been charged. So breakfast the second day was issued free of charge, apologies that this was not communicated.
