« Corporate Resonsibility. Rooms Smell. »

Corporate resonsibility. Have previous experience of Accor ignoring corporate resonsibility. The staff at Preston did not install the carpets...this was a corporate thing. The carpets installed are the type that soak up odours like a sponge. And, no amount of sending in carpet cleaning firms will fix it. They need replacing and the lesson learned that this style of carpet is a bad idea during a build/refit. This is NOT a Preston staff issue.

Quick stopover on way home and as usual were made more than welcome at Ibis Preston. Great budget hotel with clean comfy bed and a great breakfast in the morning. The staff always make you welcome and are more than helpful with tips on visiting and arranging taxis etc.

My family and I love this hotel. Simple. Clean. Efficient. Close to my aged parents. Great facilities (the boys love the pool table). But the USP is definitely the excellent staff, Dee and the team are so welcoming, efficient, thoughtful and have excellent communication skills. WE will be back. Not sure about others.. Improvements would be in the aged, scuffed, tired and out of date decor in the rooms. And. OMG those beds are so uncomfortable, and dont think anyone should be sleeping on those squeaky, lumpy sofa beds in the so called 'family rooms'. Invest in your hotel, According, and your guests will return. Thanks Alison

Your comments on the team were lovely to read, they are a great bunch and all work really hard. The beds are all the standard Ibis Sweet beds which are in every Ibis, we are however having new toppers put in every room. The sofa beds are also Ibis standard, I however appreciate your comments that they are not most comfortable or supportive, which is why we set the maximum age at 12 years old. Light bulb was out and not replaced but extra lamp given. Only one chair for a double room but extra chair was brought to room on request.

Postive: All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Negative: I’m not very impressed with the relaxed style of having no reception desk but I understand this is increasingly the standard that is adopted. Our room had a strong smell of excrement on arrival. We discovered that the flush of the toilet was not strong enough to carry everything away and therefore whatever was left sat within the bowl and stunk the room out!! Not a nice welcome. The bathroom also wasn’t very clean and had pubic hairs on the floors but please note that we didn’t complain about the cleanliness at the time so we didn’t give anybody the opportunity to rectify it. Overall, we weren’t expecting a lot from our stay but I wouldn’t rush back here again.

Whilst the change has been extremely popular and gives our teams more interaction with our guests, we appreciate it wont be everyone's cup of tea. The 1st room we were given had an awful smell. We were then moved to another room that was unclean and also had a musty smell. We had limited sleep as dogs were barking all night.

Myself and the wife really enjoyed our stay and was pleasantly supprised. Being cheaper than the travel lodge we had just stayed in we didnt thi k it would be as good, not the case. it was far better and we will definitely be staying here again.

Visited as a base whilst visiting relatives in Preston for the 2nd time and was again very impressed. There was a minor glitch with your computer (again, why can't it be better) when we arrived but the room was number 16 on the ground floor which is ideal for my disabled wife. Comfortable beds, warm room, good shower room. Breakfast was very good, only negative was the black pudding which was a bit like black sawdust, but a minor niggle. The coffee was excellent, much better than in your French Hotels which I use regularly, their coffee is bitter and very small in quantity. Recommend you to friends and already 5 stars on tripadvisor. I couldnt book on line, your computer would not let me for the third time so I rang Accord Reservations and booked and used my loyalty points, Preston wanted to charge me again on arrival, you must make your computer system user friendly and reliable!!!

Every time we stay at ibis Preston there's always some issues , no beer problems with celar etc no vodka some off the rooms in need of refurb may think again about booking there again

Unfortunately the Television did break over the festive period , we are sourcing a new one from our nominated supplier, unfortunately it is taking longer than expected due to the time of year. We did also have a problem with the cooling system in the cellar, the system was old and poorly designed and in warm weather couldn't cope. a full new system has now being installed. « Decent cheap nights stay (after moving from cigarette smelling room) »

Staff were all v efficient and friendly. Checked in online easily. Initial room we were allocated (301) stunk of cigarette smoke, it was v disappointing that this hadn’t been called out by housecleaning and the room marked as not fit for allocating. This meant we had to go back to reception (down the stairs as the lift was so slow to arrive we questioned whether it was actually working) and ask to be swooped to another room. Our replacement room was perfectly acceptable, we were glad to be on the 3rd floor as the room was boiling hot and with no aircon we slept with the windows open all night. Could have done with extra pillows as only 3 were provided in a dble room. Overall, for the price, this is a good basic hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and great staff
