Hotel is getting a little tired - broken light fixture and no underlay left under the carpet. However, bed was super comfortable and staff friendly (albeit they didn't see we'd be arriving late on the booking then said we should have told them - we had). Great for a few nights if you're exploring the area but only if you spend most of your time out of the room itself.

Very bad room very noisy six washing machines next door to me outside garden people talking loud drinking till 1 o’clock in the morning got electrocuted off the light socket to the bathroom, Manager and housekeeper told me that I didn’t get electric shock when I did made me out to be a liar. Very poor rooms

ToniJ1952 Friends getaway - 09/09/2019 TripAdvisor review

Visiting Lincolnshire to see the Bomber Command sites and memorials, together with a trip to the cathedral. This hotel is easily found and is easy driving distance from all the areas we wanted to visit. Friendly staff, good accommodation. If you don't fancy eating in then there is a pub/restaurant and a Frankie & Bennie's on the same site.

Convenient and easy to find, although the entrance was not immediately obvious so we drove past and turned round. Check in was a little odd as we had done the check in online but this didn't make any difference, anyhow lady on reception sorted us quickly. Room was clean and cleaned again for our second night which was great, Plenty of food outlets nearby. We enjoyed our stay

The room was clean and tidy, but the quilt seemed heavy and was very warm, too warm for us. It would also have been nice if there had been 2 towels per person, 1 hand and 1 bath. After showering the towel remained wet and was not easy to dry hands on.

We stayed with you for 2 nights as we were competing at Lincoln showground. We arrived late and were checked in promptly. Room was well equipped, clean and spacious. When we returned for the second night the room had been prepared nicely and felt welcoming. Bar downstairs was available but unobtrusive and plenty of places to eat very close by. Perfect stop over location and would stay again.

The hotel is situated in a perfect spot for traveling to Nottingham or the east coast. the rooms are very nicely laid out with a good bathroom and sky tv, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is ok but could do with being a little fresher sometimes the food seems to sit on the hotplate for quite awhile, but overall a very nice hotel.

Shower was faulty and my husband burned his back. When we complained the seriousness of the issue was taken very lightly. We was told the maintenance person had sorted it by setting the temperature at approx 20 degrees. This was the temperature when my husband went in the shower, and out of no where without warning it went from a comfortable temperature to freezing to boiling in an instance. Not being happy with the fix we did change room. My husband was not at all happy, at the way they handled the situation and went and showed them the burns to his back. To which they did refund one night. Our issue was more that had I gone in the shower first and this happens to me, due to my medical condition it would have had a serious impact on my health and more than likely ended up with me in hospital. I feel that the fact that setting the shower temp at about 20 degrees to get a comfortable heat shows that there was something not right.

This is the third time we have stayed here, each time there is less and less in comforts. The towels get smaller, only one bin for both room and bathroom, one spare pillow. Tea bag awful cuppa tea. Staff helpful but the lack of proper reception desk makes check in confusing. This is a tired hotel in need of refurbishment.

Maintenance of room was poor

Room was good, staff friendly and helpful. Food good. However, in the room initially assigned for us the shower mechanism was broken so that the shower temperature range from hot to very hot. After unsuccessful attempts to fix it by local staff, we were assigned a second room. In this second room the shower was again broken in that the temperature would only range from very hot to scalding. A third room was offered, however this was above the air conditioning which we originally stated was unacceptable. A fourth room was found. The shower was acceptable. The tv stand was broken with the tv nearly falling to the floor. Also one of the bedside bulbs was not working. I think all of the above should be checked before guests check in, as they are basic , advertised functions.
