The redeeming factor of the stay were the staff. The receptionist and the young gentleman whose name I’m afraid I didn’t get both were excellent ,very friendly and the young man even put chairs on each of the landings of the stairs in case my father needed a rest as the lift was out of order and he fixed the tap in the bedroom when it would not switch off. They both deserve recognition for their customer service they are a credit to the hotel. The hotel itself was just ok lots of noise from other guests, the reception and bar area were pleasant, the rooms were clean but very basic.

Very quick and friendly check in ! Unfortunately the lift was broken but no other problems arose. Quite a hot room with no air con or fan .

There were two issues which marred our stay. The breakdown of the lift, which wasn't repaired when expected. This made life a little difficult as I suffer from asthma and I had to climb two floors. Secondly the lack of air conditioning or fans in the room made it uncomfortable to sleep. Otherwise very satisfied, all staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Friendly and helpful reception nice room, facilities good. One thing that needs to improve is the quality of the food in the restaurant. It is below par. I was in the hotel business for 17 years, and prior to that a Tour Director on the coaches for 30-40 years so have been using your hotels for many years. I can willingly advise yourselves as to how this can be improved at no extra cost to the system Regards Malcolm H..

We had to sleep with the windows shut on a hot evening to reduce the traffic noise from the bypass. I used the ear plugs provided but they were ineffective. A guest with us slept in a room 328 which had internal as well as external windows which would have helped in out room. We have stayed in hotels near airports where there are double sets of windows. The plumbing was very noisy when the toilet was flushed and the light bulb in the bathroom was hanging down and a lot of noise came from that hole. Otherwise good accommodation. The bed was comfortable and the decoration and furnishings were good.

My husband, our youngest son, myself & our dog have just stayed at your hotel for 2 nights...first visit for our dog, ??4th visit for ourselves. We have family in the area, the Ibis is always our first choice for accommodation. As before, not disappointed. Very clean & comfortable rooms, pleasant and friendly staff. Lovely carvery breakfast. Room was good for a nights sleep prior to running the Lincoln 10k. The hotel bar was reasonably good and it was nice being able to drink in the garden behind the hotel in the sunshine. The shower was reasonably good. My only issue was with the late checkout service. Since I was doing a competitive run, I needed late check out so I could shower and change before going home. I got back to the hotel after the event to find that my friends and I had already been checked out at midday, even though we had all paid for 5pm late checkout. My friends eventually managed to get their keys re-activated, but mine did not and I had to be escorted back to my room with a staff key to get in. Then the cleaners knocked while I was changing, also unaware that I had booked late checkout. Furthermore I found a used earplug under the bed, suggesting that the cleaners had not done a proper job of cleaning the room before I arrived. Overall I was happy with the staff service and the room itself, but late checkout support in your computer systems clearly needs improvement.

The light switch for the bathroom was missing and the bed sheet was pulling the mattress up at the corners and without reception it didn’t feel very welcoming or very organised- at least with a reception you know where to go if there is an issue. But overall the stay was good, room was tidy. Plenty of towels and wash stuff, tv worked brilliantly. However unfortunate it is near a main road where loud cars travel up and down late at night and early morning. I woke up at 5.30am due to a loud vehicle driving up and down the road.

Very good experience. Excellent value for money, well trained staff. Good breakfast regularly topped up and tables cleared. A low cost operation, operated very efficiently with well motivated and flexible staff. Will select Ibis whenever possible for future short breaks.

Despite the hotel being a few miles from the city centre it was well located for all the attractions we wanted to visit. Even being close to a busy road the hotel was reasonably quiet. The weather was very hot and the rooms remained cool which was a bonus. We did ask for a room on the top floor and this was a wise move.
