Staff are always nice when I've stayed, room was in a quieter location so that was nice. Towels were not as clean as they should be, had to ask for tea bags as there were not enough for more than one cup, parking was rubbish. I understand it as busy but vans are allowed to park across a number of spaces with trailers and that is not acceptable to those who just want a space. The alternative was to park in an adjacent car park, well if your vehicle is that big then they should park in the other car park which is not the hotels but it's free! As I was told. Breakfast is good, always is. A few things need sorting out but it's always a decent stay.

« Everyone was very helpful, went out of their way to help. »

Friendly staff, very clean rooms. We brought our dog with us and the staff were very helpful.

« Felt like sleeping in an open prison. »

The rooms were characterless and basic. The corridors and room smelt of carpet cleaner and disinfectant. The small towels were thin, threadbare and grubby. Both my partner and I slept fitfully due to the dingy environment. Breakfast was expensive and unappetising. The floor of the breakfast area was sticky where ever you walked. The staff were unhelpful and too busy to come to the reception area. Why were we threatened with no guarantee that we would not get a parking fine when parking in the hotels carpark. The Ibis is abysmal.

« Good hotel and great staff. »

Great accommodation, great staff. Bar was ok but could do with a larger selection of beer. On a friday night there was only john smiths available on draught. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Sonia and her staff make this a great place! couldn't help us enough. Thank you to all the great team.

« disappointing and not up to standard or value for money »

.We were not expecting the touch screen booking in system but were shocked by the attitude of the person who greeted us. He was poorly dressed in what we assumed was his uniform as it was shabby and untidy. He explained he could not help us with the screen but did nothing to help, as we had our hands full of luggage and shopping. Of the 2 keycards we were issued, only 1 worked. There were no hand towels in the bathroom and the bath towels provided were both smaller than average and thin so not up to the job of coping with us taking 2 showers. There was no bin in the main room so when we made a drink, all the rubbish had to be carried into the bathroom. The room was perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable but we had already lost faith by the time we went to bed. We do not believe we got value for money. We travel to Lincoln several times a year and have stayed in most of the accommodation it has to offer. We have stayed at the Ibis before and had no hesitation in booking it again for this trip. But we will not be returning for a 3rd time. Can we also point out the poor design of the car park. Unless you are able to park in the first row near the front door, you are seperated from the hotel by a hedge that you have to walk around. We arrived in the rain and heavily laden, so we were not impressed by this arrangement either. It would appear that cost cutting exercises have been employed but would suggest that they have been applied in the right areas for a hotel with paying guests. We feel that the price we paid to sleep for one night was excessive in view of the fact that we were denied even the basic niceties we thought we could expect in this price bracket.

« Ordinary too far out of town »

It was ok we did not realise it was so far out of town not much within walking distance. Room was comfortable. Towels were quite small and no hand towels. Menu was not very large not too much choice.

« Cheap, nothing special, I wouldn't expect much. »

You get what you pay for. The staff seemed to not care much, the tap smelled of rotten eggs (the shower was fine), and the room itself seemed okay. Everything about this was just "average". If you're not staying in your room much, it's fine because it's cheap. But, if you're expecting a sense of quality, you won't get it here.

« Excellent service from the staff and room was quiet and comfortable. »

We arrived too early to book in, and were given coffees and a warm welcome until our room was ready. We did not eat at the hotel.

Not quite up to the same standard as in previous stays No reception desk was a bit of a surprise on arrival-no hand towels in the bathroom and only one bedside table in a twin-bedded room. The staff as always were lovely and welcoming and very helpful with everything.

« Hotel did the job »

Hotel was fine for one short overnight stay. Room was clean but bathroom scruffy with the sink plug missing and a drain smell whilst brushing my teeth. Breakfast was good.

Friendly welcome at a busy time. Room 225 pleasant with comfortable bed. Squeaky door to bathroom and back of handle could be given a clean. Good breakfast choices, though fruit salad could be a bit more varied and cut smaller. Staff all welcoming.

« Enjoyable »

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and found it excellent and value for money, we found we had the breakfast included in the room rate which was very filling----eat as much as you want filling !!!!, all so the Wifi was as good as ever, we have stay there before and will again.

« No complaints definitely recommend! »

Extremely helpful young lady who assisted me upon arrival even though she was very busy and seemed to be a little short staffed. It was great that the hotel was dog friendly.

« nice and quiet. »

My sister and I arrived to find one bedside lamp attached to cables on the bed. The staff were great and sorted it out quickly. I asked for more pillows which were also quickly given. Did not like the breakfast arrangements as trays at the wrong end and had trouble locating things, marmalade was in sticky jars and the toaster took forever. Scrambled eggs looks like little marbles and bacon fatty so did not attempt it. The staff were great but under staffed. Would go back again as its convenient, but you get what you pay for I think.

Very polite and helpful staff, pool table was a great surprise, good food, very comfy beds and nice strong showers. Only a couple of downsides of which one is neither here or there. Could do with a better selection of beer and sinks would benefit from S traps so you don't get the whiff of turds whilst brushing teeth. ( a problem when sink empties )
