Dirty hotel and I would not recommend to anyone. In the morning was throw up all over the lift. It was a worse stay ever.

Staff were lovely, room was ok, however the drains were quite smelly in the bathroom, one of the mugs was dirty and the room was too hot. A fan was provided and the hot weather isn’t the fault of the hotel but air conditioning in the room would be a bonus.

Although the room was very hot, not the hotel's fault, every effort, including the provision of a fan, was made to keep the room a little cooler. All the hotel staff with whom I came into contact were very friendly and only too willing to help.

« Noisy outside, no staff »

Pleasant man who booked me in on reception Room clean. Noisy traffic outside to be expected as backed onto a main bypass. However was not expecting to be kept awake by a noisy generator or something immediately below my bedroom window all night especially loud in the early hours . This must have been the worst room in the hotel for noise and I did not sleep at all. My partner was late from a business trip and did not arrive till the morning. I was not asked when booking in if I had anyone with me, and my partner when he arrived said no one was on reception and he just walked straight in up to my room. This means anyone could get in the hotel if they had not booked and up to the rooms without question. I find this a bad security issue.

Everything about the hotel was OK apart from the double bed. There seemed to be a ridge going down (head to foot) the middle of it. Found it uncomfortable and difficult to get to sleep. I stayed in room 8.

The rooms were nice and spacious enough. Was disappointed with the key system. Took ages to open the doors and if there were no housekeeping around in the morning you'd have had to go to the reception and get the key recharged then wait for the lift (took ages to come and opening the doors). Clean, comfortable, good size room with good twin beds. Pillows were a bit hard which is why I gave the hotel a score of 9. Efficient check in and plenty of disabled parking spaces. The fan in the bedroom was a welcome addition although it was a bit small. All together it was good value for money. It might be worth the hotel management contacting the local council as we found walking from the hotel to the shops was a real challenge as there are no crossings despite lowered curbs for roads with 2 and 3 lanes, we found it very difficult and potentially very dangerous particularly for anyone who has impaired mobility or for someone with babies or young children.

« Terrible experience »

First room, bathroom smells like stale urine, asked to be moved again second room and another bathroom that smelt of stale urine. Third room no smell of urine. All rooms very tired and in need of renovation. Now how did I sleep? I didn’t no air con a small fan in room that was useless to say the least, open the window to hear the sounds of the next door dual carriageway. Won’t be returning.

Clean, comfortable room, adequately furnished. Surprisingly little traffic noise although room was on road side of building. Did not eat in the restaurant as menu choice was pitiful.
