Stayed just one night, I asked to be move due to someone smoking and smoke wafting under my door, carpets could do with a good clean aswell as the curtains, sink/pipe was leaking so had a puddle in the middle of bathroom so I had to put the bin under to collect the drips, needs a good update. Staff were helpful. Disappointing stay

The room was looking a little grubby, large stain on the carpet, quite a bad odour from the sink hole. The breakfast is normally very good but this time not very good, I know it was over the Christmas period so obviously some things were not available on the menu, fresh fruit for instance, the selection is normally very good, we stayed for 5 nights and only had fruit one morning, obviously we didn't expect room service on Christmas Day but the night of the "27th" when we arrived back nothing had been done,

Perfect for an overnight stay. Spacious room, clean. Hairdryer provided. Comfy bed. Very friendly staff. Quick and easy check in and out with no fuss. Nice lounge/bar area. Very central. Free parking. Perfect for a very cheap price!

There was an odour in the bathroom (not the usual one) which seemed a bit odd. The lift gear was audible and Jeanette woke up several times. At breakfast we were chatting to one of the guests when suddenly it sounded like a disco was beginning. I went to go to the desk and ask for it to be turned down, not quite sure why this is necessary in the morning. Think it may be just for the staff. Even though it was turned down it was still to much. The TV which was showing the news and weather was and turned down which, is of more interest for travelers than an early morning disco. Breakfast was excellent and the staff overall are friendly and attentive.

Visit to family close by and have stayed at the ibis Chesterfield before. The room was for disabled guests and was on the ground floor which was really suitable.

« Everything that I read about it, but bettet »

Excellent hotel , Breckfast was excellent. The only thing I would have to give out about was trying to cross the road. It’s an accident waiting to happen. In my opinion a pedestrian crossing placed at the roundabout , between the island would be easy to do. Making it easier for guests and indeed the staff, whom are also risking their necks trying to cross in order to get to work

The hotel is very good. Rooms clean and functional. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar comfortable and well stocked. The only thing to let it down was the breakfast, although lots of choice the cooked breakfast was inedible as it was cold. The sausages we still frozen in the middle and the scrambled eggs were a solid lump. The continental breakfast was by far the best, if we return we will stick to the uncooked version. Other than that we had a great stay.

I had to change rooms due to someone smoking in one of the other rooms and the smoke was drifting under my door into my room, I was moved to another room after I complained, in the middle of the night I popped to the toilet and there was a puddle on the floor due to the sink/pips leaking, rooms could do with updating carpets quite grubby in both rooms that I went in. Staff very helpful.

While everything about the hotel was good, I would take my own toilet paper on my next visit, I did not know you could get such thin and cheap toilet paper, it was so thin there were holes in it, it really let the hotel down when the quality of everything else was set to a better standard.

Stayed a few times at this hotel over the years and the present management team have it running better than ever. The staff operate to a consistent standard and it is obvious this is led from the top down. Centrally located it is ideal for visiting Chesterfield. Traffic noise will affect your sleep but the hotel have gone out of their way to reduce this to a minimum with triple glazed windows in many rooms

Staff very nice and friendly only using the hotel for somewhere to sleep meeting friends in Chesterfield long delays on motorway so very rushed dropped off bags and out. The room was clean but quite tired but my main disappointment was the bathroom think there was a leak smelled really bad of urine
