« Ok but could be better »

Stayed one night. Reception could not find the booking when my partner checked in after me, even though I had told them he was on his way. The pillows were so hard I actually got neck pain. Other than that, convenient and did the job

Arrived after a very long car journey and was offered a very welcome cup of tea. Just what I needed before going to visit my Dad who lives locally. I always stay here because the staff are always so welcoming and helpful.

Once again 1 of the rooms booked was changed. Excellent comfortable room, friendly staff, However, there were constant problems with the card to our door, it must have been changed every day. The other thing is the menu has changed , last time the food was superb with a good choice. The Menu has been reduced/changed and is limited.

« Our favourite Hotel for the area »

We always stay here when coming over to see friends and relatives .However, we noticed this time that the hotel had become tired and in need of a facelift.Got a good price so cant complain really. Not nice to find the spare Pillar in the bag with hairs on it, yuk, and TV remote falling to bits. The carpet was well worn and definately not the best.

« Very noisy at night »

I was awoken at 12.30 am with shouting and laughing outside in the Carpark, this went on for a good 20mins, in this time other guests in the hotel were shouting out of the windows to tell the people outside to keep the noise down, as it was very hot day all rooms had to have there windows open, we weren't offered fans to keep rooms cool, then at 02.30 again people coming back from pubs were outside shouting at each other in the car park, so be warned, complained to reception in the morning, but no one cares, no body is bothered, very disappointing stay,

We didn't know that there were going to be a large amount of guests staying at the hotel for the concert in Sheffield, as most of them had booked individually, otherwise we would have allocated them to the other end of the hotel if they had booked as a group. We do advise that our guests inform us about any issues straight away, so that we can resolve them for you as soon as possible. The staff member that was on duty that particular night had not received any complaints, so he wasn't ware of any issues that was going on outside the building. We care a lot about our guests, and making sure that they have the best stay that we can offer. I hope that you will provide us with a second opportunity to regain your trust. Easy online check-in. Good location, friendly receptionist. Nice clean room. Only complaint was the noise late at night. Doors in hallways need 'soft closers' to prevent continual banging. Also signs asking other guests to be quiet after 22.00 might help.

Our stay was a lovely experience, even though it was only for one night. All of the staff went above and beyond to help us. Breakfast was exceptional and so was the price. Room lovely and clean and comfy beds. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

« Met most basic expectations, no wow factor to leave better impression. »

Good greeting on arrival, room was basic but had everything you would need with exception of dvd player of which i took my own. I travelled with my 3 year old daughter so without a dvd player after 1900 hours there is nothing to entertain her in the hotel.

We stayed one night and were disturbed throughout the night by other guests slamming doors. Not the hotel's fault I know. Pillows are very firm. Breakfast is good for the price.

« Very hot and extremely noisy at night »

We were not offered a fan for our room in temp of 27c +, and I was awoken at 12.30am by people in Carpark shouting, then again at 2am people shouting at each other in Carpark, which resulted in other guests shouting out of there room window to shut up and be quite, I was working the next day and I felt half charged all day with broken sleep, this is not what I asked and payed for, at check-in I explained I wanted a quite room as I was working and would be leaving early on a morning.
