the room was totaly cold and unfortunatelly could not warm up even with the additional heater which was brought to my room on my request. It seems the room hasnt been used maybe for few days and therefore cold and the room Airconditioning, turned at Maximum heat, could not blow warm air at all, it was not working proper at all !!! It was absolutely a not comfortable stay

I have been in this hotel many times. The experience is generally good. This time I had tow issues: 1. I was intially given a room where the heating was not working. When I notified reception, they mentioned that some rooms had this problem. They were going to send someone to FIX it. I was not offered another room. Another room was given only when I asked for it. 2. Laundry was not delivered on time. Was one day late.

it was good experience. i would just like to comment that breakfast should be a part of room rate, say complimentary as most 4&5 star category hotels provide. staff at Reception counter were very courteous and nice.

I've stayed here a number of times and always have liked the hotel. This time I was on 3rd floor and temperature was very warm with no way to cool it down or open windows. Will ask for room with operable windows next time. Staff nicely gave me a sheet for bed.

I am a regular guest at the Novotel Mechelen, and as far as I am concerned, one of the better hotels in its price class in the area. I was assigned the room typically reserved for people with special needs (probably because I previously complained about the wash basins in the standard rooms). From a bathroom experience it was better but rather weird to have a chair occupying half the shower. Need to compliment the bar man for his friendly service.

Arrived very early as our flight got in at 7:30 am. We were at the Novotel Mechelen Centrum at 8:30 on New Years Day. The person at the front desk was accommodating but unfortunately there were no rooms available at that time. We were given a map of the area around us. It was suggested to do some sight seeing to pass the time as our room wouldn't likely be ready until after 12 (noon). we walk around for a couple of hours but returned as we were fatigued from our overnight flight and the time change. We managed to get a room at 12:30. The room was small yet comfortable however the temperature control seem to be not controllable from the thermostat in the room and was quite warm. Fortunately there was a window that could be opened however this did allow noise from the street below when sleeping. We ate at the restaurant on two of three nights of our stay and this was a very pleasant dining experience. It was New Years Day and no restaurants outside of the hotel were open in Mechelen. The staff were very helpful with menu choices and the food and beverages was excellent. We able to enjoy an appetizing and filling Breakfast Buffet each morning with lots of food choices from traditional eggs and bacon, cereals and fruits, yogurts, with a bountiful supply of baked goods as well. Overall our stay was very enjoyable!

Very nice hotel in a good position in center of City.The room was a good size,so was bath room.with bath & shower.You could open the window to let in fresh air.The only big problem was our room 432 was under the fitness room so you could hear people banging working out,we were given the choice to move the next day,if it was not for this you would have got a 10. I was not happy with the price given as a club member,cheaper from Hotel.com.this is 3rd hotel in your group we sayed at in the last 4 weeks.
