« Clean, friendly & very good in city centre »

We are travelled with 2 adults & 2 kids. The room is big enough for 4 of us. The staffs are friendly, breakfast is just outstanding ! Next to the hotel is a garage box, 1 day cost 18euro but worth it. We enjoyed our stay in Mechelen, thanks to Novotel :)

Beds are comfortable. Quiet and without noise. Showers are so-so (no pressure). Breakfast is very basic. Staff at the entrance are very friendly and courteous.

« The room and the services were quite ok »

Next time you do some renovations, please, try to install modern double windows. Your customers feel cold near the windows and you loose a lot of energy = money when warmth escapes trough the leaking windows into the sky.

Would have liked a better gym for an extended stay. Also, the front door did not always open right away. Several times I had to stand right in front of the door for a few seconds before it would open. But overall, it was good. These issues are minor.

Suite was great and at a reasonable price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had never been to Belgium and was there for work. I appreciate their patience with my language skills and they were more than willing to help with everything. Overall, it was a great experience all around.

Very satisfactory as usual. Nice room, good service from nice staff. And wonderful with your flexibility as to being able to keep the room till 3 p.m. so we could work from there :-) However, we have one big complaint. 20 Euros for breakfast is far too much. My wife only easts a little, so she never has breakfast at your hotel. You should have to packages - a small breakfast and the bigger one. You are welcome to write to us at ka…

We offer a city breakfast which includes: croissant, juice, jam, coffee or tea. The price of this breakfast is € 9.5, you can find the information in our room directory. I'll ask the reception to suggest this aswell upon check in. « Disappointing and unprofessional. Lack of courtesy and respect towards a platinum member. »

Asked for a reservation to be made last Wednesday. Confirmed again on Thursday. Reminded in Friday just to find out on Sunday that there was no availability but there was when I asked as the clerk checked. I was pushed back in the queue in order to wait and see if it could be filled rather than give me preferential treatment which is what I get as a platinum at The Marriott and Holton Groups. I spend most of my year travelling and therefore staying at hotels and that is why I treat everyone with respect as it tends to become my home from home. I’ve witnessed a lot of good service and bad service but The Novotel at Mechelen has been a big disappointment and in particular based on the fact that I’ve been there since April last year. If it wasn’t for my team considering it the best facility, not service, in town with good proximity to restaurants I would take them all out and never return. In fact the treatment is dispicable. « I enjoyed all aspects of my stay at the Novotel Mechelen. »

My stay at the Novotel Mechelen was excellent from my early check in on Jan 7 to check out on the 19th. The staff were always polite and answered all my questions. Housekeeping supplied me with necessities and were very friendly when I greeted them in the hallways. My room became a welcome retreat after a long day of work. I enjoyed the breakfasts, the large selection, allowing me to vary my meal. I would like to suggest adding oatmeal, if possible. Spiros and Johnathan at the bar were welcoming as well and my friends and I spent much time there. It was through them that we discovered a lovely Greek restaurant, zorba and I found my favorite drink, gin with rose lemonade. I intend to order that when I return. My only complaint is that the treadmill in the gym was out of order the entire time I was there. Many people use the gym in the morning and I hope that gets fixed soon. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. I will stay with you the next time we come to Mechelen.
