I booked a room, went there, stayed one night, had breakfast and left. Shower was warm and wet. I liked the room dividing mirror. Bed comfortable.

Check in was simple and the room was fine. However the Nespresso machine was broken and part used coffee pods had been put back. It was clear previous guests had tried to use the machine and given up. On the plus side once informed the staff quickly bought us a new machine and more pods. The room was very noisy probably because of its location but possibly because temporary outdoor freezer units were being used by a restaurant opposite our room. Not sure the hotel could do anything about this though. We did have to search for spare towels since only one set had been left out. Found extra ones in the wardrobe. Only one bath robe too, not sure if we were meant to share.

I had a good stay at The Novotel, check in was fast, room was clean and comfortable and express checkout was very efficient. I did not eat there so can't comment on that. The bar service was pleasant and fast, All in all a very pleasant stay.

« A beautifully appointed bedroom, quiet and very functional. Lovely firm mattress and good shower, although not very powerful! »

We did not spend too much time in the hotel as we were in Manchester for one night only. My partner and I were a little disappointed with the cooked element of our breakfast on the Sunday morning -fried eggs overdone, scramble eggs too- although we thoroughly enjoyed the fresh fruit which was on offer.

« Really nice environment, staff and location but breakfast not so good »

All the staff were really helpful, the room was fabulous - nice decor and the location/parking was excellent. The only negative for me was the breakfast. I got a small bowl of the fruit first, mixed berries, grapefruit etc. but I wasn't keen on the taste, it didn't seem as fresh and refreshing as I had hoped, a little like it had come from a pre-frozen bag. So then I opted for the cooked breakfast, I selected sausage, mushroom, tomatoes and a hash brown. The veg again, didn't quite taste right for me, like it was mass-produced rather than cooked from fresh that day. The sausage was very 'stringy' and the hash brown also didn't taste too good. I'm really sorry, I don't like to complain or make a fuss, I'm sure your chefs are excellent, I just thought that the ingredients they're working with weren't very good.

Overall a good experience. At times it feels the hotel is understaffed, especially during check-in and the breakfast service. However I like the location, and have got used to slight challenges.

Nice to have air conditioning. Room comfortable, curtains meant it was suitably dark for sleeping and it's was very quiet. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast very tasty.
