Lovely hotel in an excellent location. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was a great size and felt bigger than it was due to the round bathroom, a good feature of the room. Extremely clean. Comfy beds and speedy check in and out.

« Enjoyable four night stay on our first visit to Manchester. »

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel which was ideally situated for us, close to railway stations and the city centre. The staff were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful and a problem with the plumbing was fixed immediately, even tho it was 10 pm. Our room was quiet, warm, clean and comfortable. There was a good selection at breakfast, cooked and continental.

Our stay was made extra special by your wonderful staff, who decorated the room for my daughter's 16th birthday. There was also chocolates and a gift for her. Check in was perfect; the room was very bright and clean. Great bathroom. Modern large tv. Tea & coffee. Out luggage was stored until we made our journey home. Well located & great value for money. It served a purpose for one night. Not the nicest area to stay in, room was reasonably clean, sink had horrible drain smell when used, didn't like the sheet only being on the thin mattress topper and not over the thick mattress. Pillows were horrible and hard. Mattress was quite hard. Water pressure in shower was low. staff doing check-in were helpful and pleasant.

I was sorry to hear that Manchester Centre wasn't to your liking and that the stay was not to your expectations. Ibis hotels are now offering mobile check in and work from a laptop unlike other hotels that work from a desktop. The staff can complete a check in anywhere in the lobby, I can assure you we did not mean to make you feel ambushed. The pillows and toppers are ibis standard and you will find them the same worldwide, we are sorry they are not to your taste. Thank you for bringing to our attention, your concerns about the plumbing. We have reported this to to our maintenance engineer to take any necessary action. On a positive note, I am glad to hear that you found the staff to be helpful. I had a problem with signal for music channels. I reported it and maintenece came up to have a look and we were swapped rooms. The only problem with the first room was the TV, in the second room the bathroom door was cracked at the hinges and didn’t close properly. the tv has a crack and was missing a button and there was also something stuck in the carpet. The music channels were also not working on the TV in this room too. I reported it again and was told it was an issue with all the TVs and they were getting someone out to fix it. It wasn’t fixed before we left the following day. I’m not happy about paying money for a room that i wasn’t up to standards, and the staff were not very helpful at all.

At Ibis, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. I understand that, during your visit, you've encountered an issue with some of the TV channels, including the music programs. As explained, this unforeseen fault was due to a signal error which occurred in all rooms. Unfortunately, we weren't aware until later that day hence the reason why the first time you reported the problem we offered you to swap room. I would like to apologise if the second room you were allocated in wasn't up to standard. After further investigation with the Team on duty, they confirmed that they hadn't been made aware of your disappointment with the bathroom door nor with the sticky carpet. Indeed, would you have raised your discomfort, appropriate actions would have been taken in order to make your stay more enjoyable. I'm sorry you felt the Team wasn't helpful in dealing with your concerns as, after discussing your feedbacks with them, it certainly wasn't the impression they wished to portrait. We receive regular positive guests feedbacks so please be assured that this isn't a true representation of the high service standards upon which we pride ourselves. We had 2 water leaks in our room. Damaged shoes and hair straighteners, was left with a big puddle on the floor. staff was rude and couldn’t do anything about this other than advise us to check out 2 hours early as the manager was on holiday. Completely ruined our trip.

I am sorry that your experience failed to meet your expectations due to a water leak in your room following torrential rain in Manchester. At Ibis, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. While I apologise for the inconvenience caused to your visit, the leak was an unforeseen situation. I have investigated the matter further with our Maintenance Engineer who confirm that the water had only leaked against the wall by the bedroom window as well as created a water bubble on the wall near the wardrobe which he proved by showing pictures he had taken. There was no evidence of a puddle on the floor which could have damaged your hair straightener or your shoes as you suggested. I have also discussed your remarks with the Team Member who dealt with your complaint when you raised it around 10:30am. She has confirmed that you were offered to move rooms but also that your check out was at 12:00 midday which was in 1 hour. Consequently, you decided to stay in the room until the departure time. I'm sorry if you felt this wasn't clearly expressed or not up to your satisfaction.
