I was comfortable and the room was clean but... the bottom sheets weren't big enough so they popped off whilst I was sleeping. The walls are dark and the room feels like a prison cell. The room wasn't bright enough to see to put my make up on and I'd used the shower so the mirror in there had condensation. There was no mirror near the plug sockets to be able to do my hair. This being said the staff were very helpful and I loved the friendly touch of birthday sweets.

Apart from the very expensive parking cost, the rooms were very comfortable and the beds were soft. The bathrooms were bigger than those in some hotels I have stayed at. Overall very pleased.

Initially we arrived to an electricity black out NOT due to the Hotels fault but the Council ended some work carried out in the neighborhood so the scheduled an electricity cut for the morning of the 21.07.18 till 5pm. The hotel did their best to assist through this. After restoration the experience and ambiance was a pleasant one.

« All good at this nice and cheap hotel. »

Only disappointment was that when I arrived the "day rate", displayed outside was £6 cheaper than what I'd booked a few days earlier. Even though I was assured as a Silver Member I'm guaranteed the best rates at booking?!?!?! Anyway, after I'd pointed this out at check-in, (and after a bit of initial resistance), the price was lowered to £55.

I’ve stayed at the hotel before and had lovely experiences but this time unfortunately wasn’t as good as the last two. The noise from all the construction woke us up on Saturday morning around 7.30/8am and we had quite a late night the night before so wanted a lie in. On Sunday morning before we checked out I showered at around 8.30/9am and there was no hot water, I ran the shower for several minutes waiting for it to warm up however in the end had to have a very cold shower as it never did! I’ve always had lovely experiences here but was a little disappointed with this one.

I have always been staying here, whenever i do choose to stay in a hotel..a bit unhappy with when i pay for late checkout. And each time i have come here, i get someone knocking on my door by 12 asking me to leave and im having to show them my reciept. Which is a bit annoying.

The hotel was under some renovation which is fine, however the hotel lobby bins were overflowing, in the morning when we checked out they still had rubbish around them from the night before. The hotel room was not clean enough, we had to deal with used cotton wool ear bud and a dirty sock under the bed, we had a young child so we were a little dissatisfied on this issue,

The hotel was very nice and in a good location for the event we were attending. The staff on duty when we arrived were not very helpful and appeared to be rushed as there were many guests checking in. The was only 1 member of staff available and a trainee. Not sure if the lack of experience was the cause of the shortness towards us?
