The staff were very helpful, but the room wasn't cleaned. I was bitten by bugs and I still have red itching spots over my right shoulder. I phoned down to reception on the first night I stayed to complain but there was no reply. I had to go down to reception and complain in person. The staff that were on duty were very helpful and changed my room which was better. I would not stay in an IBIS hotel again, and would not recommend the chain to friends.

« Bland basic and mediocre »

There’s no wow factor about this bland hotel, the car park view from the room the extra £10 to park the lifts that never come, the que at breakfast. Turse staff and so on, it’s very budget no different from a travelodge that would cost significantly less, and really not as good as a Premier Inn which would’ve probably cost less or the same! Really dissappointing !

Hotel is in a great location and room overlooked the marina. At check-in we were just handed our room key, no greeting or welcome to the hotel, no instruction on where the elevators were located to reach our room and no information that breakfast was available to purchase or restaurant opening times. I thought this would be in an info booklet in the room but none was available. Our air-conditioning was not working, spoke to reception 4 times and was given a fan but no-one at reception ever knew if it was checked by maintenance. On the day of arrival I spilled coke on the bed which left a large stain, the bed linen was never changed so I had to go look for housekeeping after a few days and ask them to change the sheet. It was unpleasant to have a large stain on the bed at all times. Check-out was the same experience as check-in, wasn't asked it everyone was ok during our visit or did we enjoy ourselves at the hotel.

Unfortunately the room was very small. I felt really claustrophobic. The weather was so hot it didn’t help, otherwise I really enjoyed my stay.

First room smelt of sewage we were heaving, room was spotless, the receptionist swapped us into another room, next room, sliding door to shower jammed and I couldn't get out, hubby had to put door back on rails, Towels were not clean , covered in blood, so had to air dry

« Generally unpleasant staff, 30 minute evening wait for food, not a happy hotel »

Initially ignored at check in by Tatiana. Asked for room with a view of the Albert Dock, got the worst room in the hotel Room 116 with a broken security cable on the window. Air conditioning not working correctly but didn't risk leaving the window open. 30 minute wait for my scampi and chips, ordered one beer but was given two. No system for refunding so had to drink two beers. In general the staff did not smile nor offer a good morning. This is an unhappy hotel. I travel the world so I can compare.

location and staff were great. I must commend the gent that booked me in . the reason for this is that he had to deal with the most obnoxious pensioner I have had the mispleasure of meeting. he remained polite and calm. well done
