« Excellent service from staff »

Staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were also large and comfortable. Switches to control the lamps were a bit difficult to figure out, and overhead lighting in the guest rooms would have been preferable; also, the restaurant's menu was kind of confusing and unwieldy (especially for my client who is a non-native speaker of English.) But overall, it was a very nice stay and the staff especially were a highlight.

« Our overnight stay was very comfortable »

The staff in general were friendly and efficient in the short time we were at the hotel. The room facilities were good and we had a good night's sleep. Our only meals were at breakfast after one night's stop-over; the buffet was good too.

Really good experience, checked in quickly and given lots of info. Left my Suitcase after check out in the baggage room and collected it later. Used the restaurant and it was really nice food with good prices.room was lovely and big with a very comfy bed. Loved the Bluetooth speakers as well. Have stayed in a lot of hotels in Glasgow and this is the best so far

We were checked in immediately on arrival,and found our room to be very pleasant and well-equipped. We enjoyed a snack in the bar, and later reception called a taxi for us. On return, we spent some time in the bar where an accommodating barman mixed a cocktail for us, and kept us supplied with wine and bar snacks ! We both slept very well, and enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. It was good to be advised pleasantly that the food serving area was about to be closed tho' we were we come to stay.

Average stay. Nice upgrade when arrived but was never explained what an upgrade was. Bar service slow and random drinks on final bill. Never advised about token for car park. Breakfast was hit and miss with items missing. Overall stay okay as stayed with good friends

Satisfied with the comfort and size of the room. Clean room and bathroom environment, slightly less so in separate toilet where seat was sticking slightly to rim when lifted. Staff efficient and friendly and hotel is centrally located but quiet. Breakfast varied and very acceptable quality.

« Dissappointed, was expecting a better infrastructure and service »

Room with a permanent odour/bad smell possibly by the lack of renovation, the very old and destroyed fitted carpet and an unventilated bathroom. Bed nearly attached to the wall leaving 20-30 cm corridor creating a bad position/orientation to the person using that side. Furthermore, the "concentration" of the bad smell in that corner created a very unpleasant environment. Bed sheets not totally covering the mattress creating a further unpleasing feeling. Complaint filed at the reception. nothing changed. I am using Novotel especially the Luxemburg one for the last 20-25 years with excellent experiences. This was the reason that I have selected Novotel Glasgow but I was disappointed.
