« Great stay prior to Germany »

We enjoyed our stay very well. We had lot of luggage with us since I andy family were to travel to Germany. Reception and housekeeping staff were very helpful to store our luggage. On the first day we did not have dinner at the hotel however on the second day we opted to have light dinner at the hotel since and it was a good option because a hotel saroumding is under construction. By the way dinner was was the best!!! When we checked we were not advised about the construction that is taking place in the near shopping complex and how much inconvenience it can be or cause. For one who is not from the area walking to the nearby shop may feel very uncomfortable due narrow pedestrian path created. Just like I suggested to the waiter/ barman (doing evening shift) and both morning and evening receptionists that it will be advisable that when guest check-in be advised about the construction that is taking place and the inconvenience it may cause. At the same time take advantage of the whole situation and advise guest that they can have dinner at the hotel and also of where they can get a Gautrain Bus since they are not using a usual train station. Above all our stay was good and enjoyable!!

« Bathroom water pipes made a noises the entire night (room 205) »

Mercure Randburg rooms need a major upgrade. I have been using the hotel for years and the rooms keep deteriorating and now it has now reached the levels of old water pipes making very loud noises throughout the night. The room desks and chairs need an upgrade too. May i request that you mount the television on the wall to free up the space on the desk. this will allow business guests like myself to work freely with more space. Currently the desk offered is clattered and difficult to work on.

Very friendly staff, nicely located. Hotel room verry small, not happy with apperance, big mirror in room was broken. Shower roof had black with algea. Carpets needs to be replaced, in terable condition. Breakfast was the worst I have ever eaten at a hotel, cold, no name plates to say what the dishes are and no one available at the omlet table. Will not recommend this hotel....

Cab drivers attached to the hotel are also very friendly and ready to take you anywhere you wish to go with good prices. Good location away from the city bustle where you will be awaken in the morning by singing birds, not by roaring cars. It is very nice. The facade looks beatiful but the rooms need some renovation. Thank you for allocating a smoking room to me, I do appreciate your understanding. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and room service was quick.
