It took a long time to be allocated rooms, despite there being a baby that needed to be settled in. After that all went well. The hotel is pleasant and staff are courteous and friendly.

I have slept many nights at Mercure on last years (i pretty much lived in one for almost half year) and this was definitely the worst. Corridors were dirt, room was dark and quite old and with a chair also not clean. Air conditioning noisy. I wish i had stayed somewhere else.

These are just but a few things what are going on in your establishment. No milk in the Rooms - when requesting milk the Houskeeping staff simply say there isn’t any. No duvet (cover between two sheets). They have used two flat sheets to act as a duvet cover. When there are duvets, the inner is bigger than the cover, so you feet touch the inner that. When I say bigger, it hangs out about 400mm. Everyone else’s feet touch The once, I was given a torn duvet. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I called reception and they sent the night shift housekeeper to my room. He simply shrugged his shoulders and told me that Management was aware that the duvets are torn. Telephone not working in my room this time around. Breakfast always cold, other than the eggs that are fried while we wait. Oh and the toast The toaster needs to be set so that one slide through, toasts it. We have to send it through twice, which holds the other guests up. The lady at the front desk (chef) should not be dealing with guests. She has little if not no human relations and doesn’t know how to deal with people. I heard a guest arguing with her once in her own language, and tell her that she can’t speak to him in the way she was. She is more in the back than in the front anyways, and we have to call her, or knock with a spoon to get her attention, and even then she is rude and takes her time. Almost if she is doing us a favour but attending to us. The tomato source in the bottle was finished this morning. I asked for more. I kid you not, I took my plate, sat down and ate my whole cold plate of food. I then had fruit and yoghurt, and only after I was finished did they bring the sauce out. I even commented about this to my colleague who was sitting at the same table as me. Good luck in trying to improve the service at your establishment. I am of the opinion that there is a management problem. Your managers are nowhere to be seen. The only one that we do see at times is the restaurant manager. Regards Zane

No special attention to Gold members whatsoever, limited internet access depleted within 2 hours and for the rest of our stay we had no internet connection, minibar door was broken.

Stay was warm and cozy. Staff members at reception was very very helpful, forgot to get names, but more especially the gentleman. Please improve DSTV channels, the TV channels are very boring and discourage staying in the hotel during weekend or rather encourages one to go eat out elsewhere etc. Please get more irons. sharing 3 irons amongst whole hotel very discouraging Housekeeping was done very well, overall the hotel is a place i would re visit again whilst the above is being handled. Booked my stay through Bookings.com, i was very disappointed to learn that the rates advertised through them dont include breakfast, i was very disappointed by this. The 4 of us then went to eat out breakfast instead, please re visit this marketing ploy.

There was too much noise in the corridors from other guests. The breakfast was very expensive for a breakfast and I had to pay this instead of it being included in the room. Not enough tv channels. There are so many channels available on DStv and OVHD yet such poor quality channels, except for M-Net and Movies Premier.

First day when i come the assistant who was wrking was not serving ppl equily eg :i was wiyh my co worker i thought we will share room bt i was suprise she have here own room without sharing and i was sharing ,and on my side it seems as it was because she was one of those coulor that reflects too much and i gues that day she was the one having room on herself so it was not good towards me as a black lady.

The hotel is perfectly located for easy access to joburg. The rooms are a good size and clean but the real standout feature is the hotel's team of dedicated employees. Everyone does their best to ensure you feel welcomed and valued. Nothing is a problem and they're always so willing to assist. The front desk team are fantastic. Thank you for a great stay.

Its a good place to stay but I experience that we eat same breakfast food every day.please try to change menu even last week my Friends were complaining to me saying your hotel we eat same menu every day for breakfast.The other thing please provide toilet brush next to the seat so that we can help cleaners to keep toilet pan clean and if possible toilet spry.Thnx
