« Really good hotel »

Our room was huge, the staff were great and the bar was good for a light dinner. The location is great for a number of the Wall historical sites and Potsdam Platz. There was a stuff up with payment for an extension on the website but the staff took responsibility and resolved things. So great to see staff take responsibility in these days when everyone tries to duck shove responsibility to some one (or something ‘computer says’) else. Would definitely stay again and have recommended my eldest son stays next year.

Reception staff were so helpful and polite. Rooms large and clean. Couple of gripes in that there was no-where to plug the kettle in on the desk area so had to plug in on the floor near the door. Also the bar was very small and not very well stocked so didn't have a few drinks prior to going out. Other than that our stay was superb.

My stay in Mercure Hotel & Residenz Berlin Checkpoint Charlie was very good from the check in until the checkout :) The privilege room was very spacious with good equipment and also a long desk to work. Breakfast was pretty tasty. The location of the hotel is convenient for tourists and those who like shopping.

We have stayed before and looked to stay again. Good location and we have enjoyed both our stays at this hotel. The only point we would make is that the cooling system in the room (717) was ineffective so, even with the temperature on low and the fan on high, the room was still too warm. Thank you.

Good hotel, conveniently located in the Mitte close to Checkpoint Charlie and metro stations 2 and 6. Easy to reach from Tegel airport with public transportation. Room clean and spacious. Basic breakfast, can be improved in terms of variety of meals offered.

We found all the staff very helpful. We thought our 2 Privilege double rooms were wonderful, however, our tea and coffee supplies were not refilled at all, and we were not given our free news paper or a free bottle of water which we were meant to have included in our package. We found our bed pillows to be very lumpy, and certainly think you should renew them. We were also disappointed not to have any English channels on the TV apart from the news channel. The hotel was lovely and warm and clean, and we would recommend it to others.

Very good - large, extremely quiet and warm room, with good facilities. My only issue is that you are still using small plastic bottles for shampoo and shower gel - all contributing to the ever- growing mountain of plastic in the world. Please can you move immediately to the implementation of big dispensers for shampoo and shower gel and stop issuing the individual bottles. Thank you.

Not what was expected. We had. I idea we would be in a 2 story room - we had injured knee post skiing so very painful getting up and down. Tried to get key card cut for upstairs door but staff unable. Also only about 5inches between sofa bed and desk to squeeze past. No where to hang clothes upstairs and had to go up and down stairs to kitchen area. Also on arrival I was told “I am lucky to still have a room - as I had put a credit card number against it”. I booked on your website and I completed the pre online checkin. I was made to feel bad.

All aspects of our stay were good. The hotel is in a good location and we walked and used the local underground to get all over the city. The only slightly annoying issue was the bed being against the wall backing onto the lift so there was a slight humming noise at times.

Warm welcome, good service, good sauna, very good and rich breakfast. Coffee excellent. Easy to reach by public transport, quiet, not busy sorrounding, with some good bakerys, coffee shops and restaurants.
