« Room 1204 has mice »

In my first night staying in room 1204, while I was working, I saw a mice wandering under the coffee table at around 2am. I called front desk to ask for a change, they said they were fully booked. So I have to wait till tomorrow. All the hotel did was only sent in 1 person to have a look less than 2 mins and he left. I then moved all my belongings on the bed, in case the mice tried to explore my things. I could not really sleep the whole night, thinking of the mice might climb up to me or for my stuff. It was really a nightmare and suffering night to me. The hotel did nothing to compensate me, not even apology, treating it like a normal daily event. Is having mice in room normal to Novotel? I booked through agoda, so the above review will be on agoda as well.

Despite some ongoing pest control measures: we have immediately blocked this room. Some additional treatments against rotten have been scheduled. I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience caused. In regards of your dissatisfaction about this matter was handled: it was cascaded to our Director of Rooms Division. I understand our property was full up to capacity – however a sort of solution should have been found one way another. At Novotel, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. As a token of apologies, we will refund you for one night. After retrieving your details: we will instruct our bank. It should take around 4-6 weeks for the bank to proceed. « Great Location, Comfortable sleep »

Comfortable beds, we slept very well here. As a Novotel, children were welcomed and there were a few other families staying we saw and in the hotel pool. Food was good, and Alicia and Anna and other staff in the lounge brightened each day with warm smiles and helpful advice which made our stay in Beijing pleasant and memorable. It is an old-ish building, but that is fitting for it's location. Rooms were clean and tidy.

It had been more than one year since my last stay at this hotel but the Executive Lounge duty manager Alicia Sun still can recognise me. She gave me a warm welcome to Beijing and stay at Novotel Beijing Peace. I was at the lounge together with a few friends until late night. Ms Sun still patiently accompanied us. I checked out on second day. Ms Sun was there early morning to ensure all documents was prepared without any delay.

Great location, had interconnecting rooms which were spacious. Decor needs some work and bathroom shower was leaking. Renovation work is being done at present. Didn't get to use pool, but if you do, you need a swimming cap - available at hotel for 30 yuan. Enjoyed happy hour drinks 6-9 pm. Breakfast buffet good, dinner buffet not so good. We preferred to eat at adjacent French restaurant Le Cabernet - also got 20% discount voucher.

Good location, nice room but cleanliness is my most important concern. The shower walls looked like they have never been clean and there were obvious brown marks on them that I'm sure would be easily wiped away.

We stayed a total of 7 days, booked a few nights on our own and others with a tour company. Firstly, I booked a suite, which looked amazing in the online photos. When I arrived and saw the suite I was extremely disappointed. I am an Accor Advantage plus member and the suite was below standard, it had a mildew smell and furniture was dated, curtains falling apart. I was then put into another suite which was acceptable. The shower area has been recently grouted to a very poor standard. We were there for 7 days and felt like a number, the breakfast was basic and lacked variety, the whole your group commented about this. One of the worst Novotel's that I have stayed at, would never book here again.

I was at the Club Lounge floor. I have been greeted and taken of before by Ms. Alicia Sun. She is an excellent employee and Novotel should be proud to have her. I believe she has been there for over 5 years. Certainly many many times that I have stayed there.
