I frequently stay in Ibis hotels in Europe. Generally not impressed with Ibis in England and certainly not in Germany but the Ibis Stratford compares with the best in Spain. Wonderful reception staff.

The staff made my stay very pleasant and provided excellent service, everything was clean and the food was good. Pillows were lumpy and very uncomfortable, I had to reactivate my key card every day as I stayed for 3 nights which was mildly annoying, otherwise everything exellent.

I was woken on Sunday at 7:40 by a man trying to get in my room. I confronted him and he had been given my room at check in, at 7:30am on a Sunday? I came out of my room for breakfast at 8 and was confronted by housekeeping asking in a very sharp manner why I was in a room that was on the system as empty and needing cleaning! Was told to go down to reception now and sort! Then at reception there was clear doubt whether I had checked in on Saturday and I was made to feel in the wrong!
