I knew we booked cheap, and my expectations were low, but even then they were shattered. The rooms are presented poorly, which I expected and wasn't an issue, but booking the Ibis brand, I was hopeful for a good sleep at least as this was the only reason for booking this accommodation (a quick sleep after a late flight before continuing on a drive). We were given the room literally 2 steps from reception and we had zero sleep all night due to noise. The door to the building opening and slamming all night, reception staff talking, and cars/train noise rattling through the room. There was zero sound proofing whatsoever. The blinds also had huge gaps which allowed the flood lights from the carpark to pour in. The pillows provided zero support and the sheets felt like paper. The floors were sticky and hairs in the sheets. I would have been neutral to the room condition and cleanliness if we'd have been able to get some sleep given the name and price "budget". When you book a place like this, the bare minimum expectation is the facilities are conducive to allowing sleep, and we were not provided this. A terrible night and will never return or recommend. Pay the extra money and go elsewhere - don't try and cut corners like I did - you will regret.

I would not stay here again. Whilst I expected cheap but cheery, I would liken this accommodation more to "institutional". Dark carpark entrance, entrance door locked, not inviting, people loitering at the entrance. No member benefit drink on arrival. I was provided a sparkling water when leaving. When checking in there were laminated signs detailing "child trafficking", not sure why this information is relevant to the check in process? There was only one person on check in, so it was difficult for them to open the door as new guests arrived. Multiple rows of vending machines were present in the foyer area, not all inviting. Carpet on stairwells and hallways, dirty and odorous. I had to lug my suitcase up 4 flights of stairs to my room on level 2. I did not feel entirely safe during my stay. The shower and toilet cubicle was jail-pod like, and mouldy. Seemed strange to use the toilet, then walk across the room to wash your hands at the basin? The floor of the room was not entirely clean, I wish I had brought thongs to wear. Paint behind the door was scuffed. Bedding was clean. I was not advised of time of breakfast on check in. Breakfast room was pretty well appointed and pleasant enough. I have stayed at Ibis Styles before, and was very impressed. I will never stay in Ibis Budget again. This accommodation was chosen as it was well located between the airport and family commitments on the following day. I did expect more from the accor group.

Well past a refresh, smelled of bug spray and mould. Window was broken and put back together with pull ties, which didn't help keep out the road noise. Seemed to be home to migrant families on a semi or perminate basis, which is fine but was not reflected online. We have stayed in Ibis hotels all over the world and this was not up to the standard of any of them.

I was on the toilet when there was a knock on my door. The toilet is very close to the door. I said hang on. Then a much more impatient knock. I said coming then someone was opening my door. I managed to get dressed and I opened the door as one of the housekeeping staff was pushing in. I said what do you want ? They asked are you staying over? I replied yes I paid receptionist already. Check with them before you come busting in . Surely this is not Accor standard procedure ? I then got properly dressed and informed front desk that I was not happy. Totally disrespectfull on behalf of the staff. The girl concerned later apologized to me.
