Limited parking space. Noisey. Understaffed. Lost day 2 booking. Rooms are very compact. Not enough toiletries, towels. Wouldn’t stay there again

« Ruined my stay »

I checked in Friday night and paid extra for a late checkout. (5pm checkout). So before going to bed, i hung the do not disturb sign outside the door as you would, but that didn't stop housekeeping to WALK IN my room, without knocking and disturbing my sleep in the morning. I was annoyed but i thought nothing of it and tried to go back to sleep. What happens next? An hour later they WALK IN AGAIN and demand that i checkout as it's past 12! I told them i paid for a late checkout! They apologised and said they were not informed by reception. Damage was done at this point, i was infuriated and completely ruined my stay. I don’t even know who to contact to remedy this situation as i don’t feel like i got my moneys worth at all, certainly wouldn’t be staying here again unless they make this right for me.

It was horrible experience as I have reserved my room it was given to someone else so I had to wait 30 min to get another room. Then they gaven me room where someone was already in there so had to go back to reception and argument with manager then again waited 30 min for another room. It's was horrible and disgusting and not organised at all.

Basic room, the shower gel had fell off the wall, we had two towels, the handy phone didn’t work. You advertise soundproof rooms yet we could here the television from next door and doors slamming all night. The shower room wasn’t very clean, my wife cleaned it before she got in it. I reported the handy phone and the shower gel being off the wall but staff were u helpful. The check in guy told us that we would have to be buzzed to get in after 11pm but the security guard was outside chatting women up. Not very secure is it? I’m overly disappointed in my stay.

« my worst experience at a hotel ever »

the night went well but on sunday morning the duty manager was extremly rude came to us demanding breakfast money as if we had refused. He did so by shouting to embrass us everybody in the restaurant could hear this conversation as he was not discreet about. What was extremly disappointing was that when I told him that it is no way to talk to your guests he was unapologetic and did not see anything wrong with his actions. We had breakfast but had not paid yet but we were in the restaurant and its not like we were running away, but this man choe to make us look like thieves, I have never felt embrassed like this in my life even the other guests were extremely surprised by this man's actions. I paid 130 for one night stay and to be treated like this was very disappointing

I wanted somewhere between the station and the theatre, in this case, The Curve. The Ibis Leicester fitted the bill perfectly. Not only was it in easy walking distance of everywhere, but the room was large, comfortable and clean. I admired the design of the wardrobe and the shower unit which managed to be budget-conscious and attractive, pretty much what the chain stands for. I have to say that this was not like the Ibis hotels I knew from years ago. I'll definitely be back.

« A nice streamlined room near Leicester rail station. »

This hotel is a short walking distance from Leicester rail station and city central but the hotel's entrance is not user friendly. The hotel reception are is part of the bar/breakfast room area, which is a tinny area. Breakfast was ok though was not as usual selections as other Ibis hotels. It could have been better. My room was nice, clean but on 1st floor facing the main road with heavy traffic depise my request for a quiet room. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very impressed with the Ibis Hotel in Leicester. No doubt one of the best experiences of staying in an Ibis. The modernised, and very clean, room really helped the experience as I have stayed in other Ibis Hotels (e.g. Nottingham) where the rooms have been tired and in need of refurbishment. The ground floor bar/cafe area was very welcoming as were the staff. A great stay

Room Was clean and as expected, Went for breakfast on first morning around 9.30am to find nothing leaft, £8.95 for 1 sausage, 1 bacon and beans is not acceptable!!! My partner got NO breakfast!! Staff offered to cook more food but we didnt have time to wait. Also, No mixers at bar first night and second night, when tesco is just down the road!!!! Second morning, plenty of breakfast but very poor quality and felt ill the day after.

Our visit was good. We booked the hotel for an evening following a Tigers match. Just a couple of items like no milk in the room and no batteries in the remote. Overall it is a good hotel, comfy bed and nice breakfast. All the staff were polite and accommodating.
