« second time lucky »

Stayed here for the second time which was 100% better, did not have a good experience the first time. Front of house were aware of this when i booked in, and made a note to say my room had been upgraded and they were sorry for the stay last time.

Staff fantastic, but I think that the rooms are now a bit dated. Didn’t particularly like the futon beds either.

Friendly welcome. Lovely room clean and plenty of space. Only problem was the air con was cutting in and out which made getting off to sleep a little difficult. Lovely bed.

« The accommodation was fine, the room service left a lot to be desired. »

Room was clean and comfortable, bed was great, front desk staff were great and very helpful. Room service was poor - took a long time, when it arrived was terrible - i ordered the tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad with toasted turkish bread - there was barely any buffalo mozzarella, maybe one teaspoon sprinkled over a pile of floury tomatoes in the middle of a plate. There was no turkish bread. I rang room service immediately and said there wasn't any bread and it took a further 25 minutes to get some toasted Turkish bread delivered, which was burnt on one side.

Very high standard, hotel is always warm and clean. Food is great too. Alice remembered me from my stay 4 weeks ago when I arrived - Was nice to see a familiar face. I headed to restaurant for dinner and was met by Edith. (head duty mgr). She said hello and help sort a table for me. Then returned a short time later to swap to to a room away from the lift. Very thoughtful and my bags were even in my room by the time I'd eaten. In my room on arrival was a lovely note, chocolate bar, it was warm and some lights were on - made me feel very welcome. Once again a big thank you must go to Edith & Alice for being star's at their jobs!

Check-in good, room good. Nice to have it close to lift. Bathroom OK, but could do with some flat shelves around the basin. disabled people have lots of bathroom clobber that needs to be in easy reach. also hooks required for sponge bags.

Clean room, good facilities, great to have gluten free and soya milk at breakfast buffet. Only (minor, and rectified) downside was in-room coffee machine (yay!) but instructions must've missed a step, because the 1 tablespoon of coffee I got, was stone cold - fortunately, there were several other places to grab a cup at.

Our first room was perfectly clean and tidy we then booked a 2nd night due to medical circumstances room 3006 was dusty, minimal bathroom supplies no shower cap etc, sauce splattered all over the coffee table by the couch, the top towel in the shower looked used - no bathrobe complete opposite to our first night in a different room - we did not complain as we understood it was the last available room that night and we had no choice but to stay as neither of us were able to drive - service was 10/10 everyone was so lovely just the room cleanliness was a let down it was like they hadn’t cleaned it for a few days with the amount of dust in the bath and dried up sauce on the table
