« our expectations are always met, we always love staying here!! »

It was great. Perhaps you may need to start planning for an upgrade of TV, and furnishings. Since we stay a few times at the novotel in New Plymouth, Hamilton and Auckland, we have noticed that a refresh may be needed for the room we stayed in. Also when revamping or designing New rooms, could you move the air conditioning panel to by the door. This will help with minimizing light emission while sleeping. Thanks

The experience at the Ellerslie Hotel was great the front of house people were quick and courteous the manager (i may spell it wrong "Cohen) was very helpful he let us park our classic car right at the door i will definitely be coming back again next year...!!!.

« I was disappointed with this stay especially with the quality of the food. »

I was pleased to have been offered an upgraded room on my arrival. However, the room I was in had thin walls and I could hear the TV from the person next door. I also seemed to be over the bar area and there was continual noise until 10:30pm. I ordered room service the first night and the meal was cold and definitely not up to a standard I would expect from a Novotel (I stay at the airport Novotel frequently and have never been disappointed in the meals). I tried the restaurant the next night and again the meal was disappointing. Then I had four attempts at getting the correct account from the person at the restaurant reception desk. First he had the incorrect account, then he hadn't charged me for the glass of wine I had; then he charged me for a small glass and on the fourth attempt I was charged for the large glass. I would not have expected this from Novotel. There was no newspaper outside on Friday morning though I noticed other rooms had received a newspaper. There was one on Saturday morning but as I was leaving the hotel, this was not read. However, your reception staff were excellent and very efficient.

« Normally better than this »

I've stayed here multiple times but this time was disappointing as the room wasn't serviced properly- missing tea bags and body lotion and my lunch order got lost and then i was told it would be credited off but it was still on the bill when i checked out. On the upside the staff members I spoke to did want to do their best and ultimately things were put right but definitely not up to the normal standard.

« Convenient for Western Springs »

Hotel is so close to the train station for the train to Penrose for concerts at Western Springs. There's convenient free parking by the Auckland Racing Club. Rooms are always well presented and the bars and restaurants provide great service.

It was great apart from the fact we had paid for a late checkout but had 3 different people enter our room because they didn't know anybody was in there. 2 of those times we were asleep and once I was in a towel trying to get dressed

« Average quality hotel »

The hotel was a bit dated, pictures looked nicer on the website. We had a king suite which but it was a pretty small room. Bathroom was also small, toilet paper was really cheap, needed more towels. The staff also entered the room twice in as many hours. First one was about 15 mins after checking in to check the mini bar, and then they came back again in an hour for no apparent reason.
