Our room was just what we needed compact but big enough for the two of us, very clean and quiet. The staff were super friendly and efficient, food in the restaurant was delicious. We found it easy to get to all parts of Auckland with no problems at all, and in fact will be staying there any time we need to go back to Auckland. thank you Ibis Ellerslie.

Room was very small but clean bed comfortable bathroom tiny needed room key in a slot mounted on wall to lower up room. Charging for parking is annoying and for internet ridiculous.

We were up in Auckland for a family wedding and stayed at the Ellerlsie ibis which was really lovely. The room had everything we needed, hotel itself was very well situated for us. The staff kind, friendly and extremely accommodating. If there was any draw back, this would be that we could not get any natural airflow through the room as the windows do open and have to rely on air conditioning. How ever this was not a major.We would highly recommend the Ellerslie ibis to all. We would like to say a huge thanks to all the staff who help us make oiur stay memorable.

A very friendly and helpful greeting at Reception set the tone for my stay. A very comfortable bed, a great shower and a clean room. I would've liked some sort of Directory in the room informing about charges for phoning out and also a guide on using the TV - were some channels free and did others rack up a charge?

« Great! Clean adequate with good facilities. Great to have iron, rea, coffe making etc and comfortable beds. »

Relaxing and enjoyable but very! noisy Asian group my last night and at 11.00 I told them to be quiet. Their tour leaders need to tell them that they need to be respectful of other guests and not yell up and down the corridors, open and slam doors and talk in very loud voices. I mentioned this to the young man on reception and he said he would pass it on and also said I could have rung reception to deal with it, but still, it should not have happened in the first place. Apart from that I found the staff, the food and the hotel to be very pleasant and welcoming.

All-round a very positive experience. All staff very friendly, helpful, professional, welcoming. Went the extra mile, virtually! I got the room I had requested, and it was clean, quiet, comfortable. Check-in was marvelous, and helpful with parking. Restaurant staff were very friendly, observant, helpful, as was the bar staff, and the cleaning staff. All-round A1.

« Worst Ibis for customer service out of all I have been to around the globe »

Where to start? First up only herbal tea in my room and was told everything else had run out, trip to the bar and one of the beers ontap which i like was out of supply, the beer I had was warm due to all beer glasses were straight from the hot washer as staff were too busy to clear the evenings mess. Second night tap beer again served in warm glass not on. Also I requested a Pink Gin special for $10 special promotion the response was hilarious, " sorry sir we have run out" well take the signage down! Now this all seemed imaterial however the worst was about to happen. The big grass playground next to the hotel houses one of Ellerslie's biggest days of the year in Horse race circles one which as I would think would see the hotel nigh on full with plenty of advanced bookings. We went to the races and returned to the hotel for dinner I was astonished to see customer's queing 15 deep and Two staff only, these poor staff well and truly under the pump, serving beer, taking food orders, making time consuming cocktails and having to google how to make said cocktails WOW, making Coffee and also letting empty glasses etcetera to mount on tables and anwhere they could. As it was late mid eve by the time we got served (an amazing 45 mins) I ordered a pizza and wedges, something any chef should take what say 20 mins to serve. An hour later i asked how my order was going to bar staff one he said would fnd out,then he started serving and forget I asked bar maid exactly the same and same response, the waiter from kitchen done exactly the same. Eventually when people were walking out the receptionist came to help I got a response within 20 mins and over 2 hours after my order I received one luke warm Pizza and burnt wedges, not a happy customer. Summing up we ate elsewhere forthe next 3 days and used the bar for a night cap. Honestly whoever is the ring leader of the Ibis Ellerslie circus needs a good look into what the team leaders or depart managers are doing so wrong and themselves

I have stayed here many times and my room has always been very good. This time however the bathroom door was broken and the toilet flush only worked on full. Not up to usual standards, disappointing.

An extremely positive experience. From the very warm and efficient check-in, to very friendly and helpful restaurant staff, one feels very welcome. A relaxing stay, the requested quiet room had been reserved for us, at breakfast the staff went the extra mile to organize a newspaper, the right coffee, making the right eggs - very pleasant, and always with a smile! Late, attentive bar service organised a drink, though already closed - superb customer service all-round!

overall, it was satisfactory except for issues with the car park pass - twice we had to get this activated for the duration of our stay. An aside - no offer of a discounted car park rate was offered on check-in; not until I enquired if Accor members had discounted rates (in the past I was offered 50% discount).
