« Comfy stay at IBIS Ellerslie »

I enjoyed the experience very much. Particularly pleased with my room, which seemed comfortable and well planned, and suited my needs well. Great bed, good shower, enough space for one. Breakfast was good and I also appreciated the tasty burger that I ordered through room service. Not so good was the tv, which I found hard to work with the remote and it didn't give a sharp image. The noise from the corridor outside my room was also intrusive sometimes. The plus was the very pleasant staff at every contact.

Overall a pleasant experience, I did speak to the duty manager on my Departure with regard to the service in the restaurants Our dinner plates were left on our table after we finished for so long that one of our party cleared them and not a word was said by any of the staff. On the morning of my departure I had a cappuccino in the restaurant but was not offered any sugar with it I have stayed a number if times previously and have enjoyed my stay. I just think that the waiting staff need perhaps a little more training and realise how important customer service is

As soon as I walked into the entrance was greeted by a wonderful front desk staff, her name was Savanna, beautiful, friendly welcoming smile she listen to my enquires and went over and above expectations by thingking ahead. The whole atmosphere was welcoming. The beds where nice and rooms tidy, would definitely go back and stay here and recommend friends and family

I had to go back to reception on 7 occasions to get the room key re-written. I stay in hotels a lot, I know not to keep room keys near phones etc, but the keys at this hotel just never seemed to work, and others in our group suffered the same fate. When you come in later, and just want to go to bed, it's not something you need or want.

Very comfortable room, good value for central city location. Excellent front of house staff including concierge. We also received very good service from duty managers at Acacia Restaurant which was very full and they were trying to juggle tables to accommodate everyone. Great choice of food although the cooked food on the breakfast buffet was not very hot. Waiting staff could clear used plates at the tables more quickly and this would provide an even better service.

Pleasant experience. very friendly, helpful staff, clean tidy room. breakfast was great - just one small negative was that the bacon was very dry. everything else was really good. the smoothies were a real bonus and the small glasses they came in were just right. rooms were easy to find, parking was easy and close.

We had a group of 12 who stayed for 9 nights. Staff were welcoming every day, rooms were well maintained thank you room service. Staff also dealt with a situation of noisy neighbours very prompt and happily opened the gym an hour early for us. The Restaurant staff were so kind and the food was great. Thank you Ibis. x

« Another pleasurable stay again »

I am a regular guest that drives to Auckland. The IBIS is very close to the motorway. Parking available on site. I then travel to central Auckland by train, much easier than trying to find a carpark especially while some streets are blocked off for the new rail construction. The hotel meals are very good by my standards. Staff and I mean all staff from reception to room staff and restaurant members treat me as a long time friend. I will be staying again for the above reasons.

Last time I had a great room on the third or second floor. This time I was given the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in on the ground floor. I think you will be aware of the issue here, I was given a drink voucher on checkin I assume for this reason (which I didn’t use). Will request through company to stay elsewhere in future.
