Great place to stay as location is so convenient. Our first room was very hot and we had to change to another one. Found the temperature in that rather warm too but it was better. The people who clean the rooms do a great job and it is lovely to come back to a clean room.

A little disappointed that a few of the basics seemed to be missing - such as having free wifi use in the rooms, this has been a minimal basic in most Hotels for many years now. Also with a 11am check out, we were left wondering why Housekeeping were walking into our room at 8.30am? Again another basic - check to see if guests have checked out before walking into their rooms in the morning.

When we booked in to our room our toilet had not been cleaned. We had trouble with the lights flickering up and down. We were offered free breakfast for the two mornings and appreciated the putting right aspect of this but unfortunately the hot breakfast was not hot and was awful. The hash brown container had no lid on it and the egg container had overdone eggs and overdone scrambled eggs. The fruit selection was good. We have stayed three years in a row with you and the price goes up but the quality doesn't. The staff are very good and helpful which is a bonus for you because having good staff makes a lot of difference to the lack in other areas. I'm sorry I can't be more positive but you did ask!

The check in, check out & room were as I hav come to expect, a quality experience. The dining room wasn’t. For years we’ve taken advantage of the 2 for 1 dining but was told I wasn’t entitled on my membership. Haven’t changed my membership this end so why?

« Light shone beneath the curtains making sleep difficult, and also people accessing the lift were very loud. »

For a room that cost $314 for the night we were disappointed . The light shone beneath the curtains at night and also light from the spy hole in the door came through as it was directly opposite the bed. The curtains were the length of the room but had to be drawn by hand - no drawstring system. Also felt the WIFI should not have been an extra charge with the room rate in mind.

« Central location was great »

Had a lovely stay at the Ibis Wellington and its central location was fantastic. Arrived having booked a car park and the only one left was number 13 and really is too small for most vehicles to fit! Sneddon the front office manager allowed me to park overnight in the disabled/service park and I moved the vehicle next morning as a space became available. Much appreciated. Front office staff were fantastic! Would really appreciate hand towels in the rooms as had to use flannels, also first night had no bath mate. Breakfast temperature needs addressing by the hotel as not overly warm. My second stay at the facility and I would stay again.

The location is very convenient given its proximity to shops, TSB Arena & waterfront and a myriad of eating options. The room was comfortable and had all that we needed. The restaurant served excellent food and the foyer & bar area is welcoming and a nice place to enjoy a late afternoon drink.
