The room was comfortable with space for friends to meet particularly 2 double beds for singles to share a room. Central location was superb for walking to fabulous restaurants, cafes and bars.

Bed was very comfortable but room and bathroom tiny considering it was not a standard room we paid for. Dissapointed that we were not able to get onsite parking and that there is no real pull up area out the front, made lugging bags a little difficult. Especially googled for accomadation with parking, website should clearly indicate that it needs pre-booking.

I had a nice time staying here. The room was comfortable and cosy, equipped with amenities such as coffee and tea, ironing board and so on. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Above all, I had a nice experience checking in. I had a rough morning flight into Wellington and was feeling sick, so I went to the hotel first thing after landing at 10 am and asked if they could give me my room early as I would like to sleep to recover from the nausea. They immediately understood my problem and arranged a room within 20 minutes, no questions asked, no strings attached.

« Parking an issue »

Was a great stay as welcome was warm, staff were fantastic, and the room was as good as hoped. The downside is the local council now charges for parking on weekends and the charges start at 8am, which is well before anything is open, so visitors do not get to sleep in any longer. It appears to be a money grabbing move by the council but, speaking with other visitors, it is making Wellington a far less attractive place, especially for those that found a strip of paper under their wipers. We got up early enough to beat the wardens but took our business away from the city which is not desirable for central city businesses. Accommodation 10/10, but Wellington 3/10 thanks to the excessive parking charges.

« Functional for the money charged »

The Libby and exterior are great. You get to the floor you are in and there are these odd doors that look like an asylum (no drama just odd). Then the room is nicely laid out. But the thing that lets it down is the bathroom. These need to be modernised and the shower temperature was a choice between flesh rendering heat or frostbite forming ice - the shower handle had a 1mm tolerance between the two. Staff were very pleasant and the room was clean.
