As an Accor silver client I was disappointed to find that the dining room was closed during our stay which made it more difficult to find suitable places to eat at night . The hotel is well appointed but not the kind of place that you would have to go out of the hotel as their are some seedy persons sleeping on the street

« Good location but noisy »

I stayed three nights for business. the location is great - short walk to shops, CBD and train. But I struggled with the noise as the walls were not solid and there was a large gap under the door. My room was next to the laundry shute too. So I was woken many times during the night by other patrons walking and talking in the corridor, and staff attending to services. On the upside, Wifi was good, the room was comfortable and the price good.

We had to keep getting keys redone, bathrooms were tiny, when presenting my Accor card a breakfast was treated like a criminal because it was out of date (I hadn’t realized and left the current one at home)and then asked to go to reception to put my credit card over.... which I had already done on check in!

« Welcome Mercure Superior King Room... loved my room.... »

My favourite room at The Swanston Hotel was booked out so had to settle for a room in the Welcome Mercure. With advice from some of your lovely staff, Nick, customer relations and Arienne in reservations it was suggested I stay in the Superior King Room 1043....... totally loved staying in this room for my 5 night stay and wouldn't hesitate to book it again. Missed having a microwave and the mini bar but otherwise it was perfect.

stayed 3 nights, expected a room for three nights, and i was given a j. tiny room with a mini windows with the shittiest view on a first level court, i did t see the sun let alone the sky for three days asked the staff to change rooms and “there is nothing we can do”

Average. Room was small, could do with extra towels in bathroom, only 1 each supplied, body lotion would be nice. Surprised to find when I got home I had been charged approx. $551 odd for the 3 nights instead of $540 as quoted when I booked. No explanation given. As I reserved with Booking.com was this the exchange rate which made the price difference?

Enjoyed the location but rooms are not very soundproof. Constantly hearing neighboring doors shutting. Thought neighbours were entering our room was so loud.
