« Great stay at this wonderful hotel as usual! »

We have stayed at this hotel before, and this time the stay was as enjoyable and the staff as helpful as always. The only difference was that building works were in progress, so one exit was closed, and we had to always exit from the entrance. The beauty of this hotel in the past, was that you could enter from two points, so made it easier to get around. In saying all of this, it was the only inconvenience, plus having one of the lifts out of action for some of the time, which I think was connected to the internal building works. The room itself was lovely and clean, and we did not hear any of the works, only very noisy neighbours! The room was a great size too, and the location is excellent a massive plus.We would always recommend and stay at this hotel visiting Melbourne, and hope even with the change to the other part of this hotel, it still will stay the same with great staff and great accommodation.

I have stayed at this Hotel many times before, but this was not the most pleasant stay I have had. I felt like an intruder when I booked in although I am a member and had done online check in. I was made to feel like my room was not ready, though it should have been 5 hours earlier than when I arrived. I needed to ask for wi-fi password which should have been given to me. Not a pleasant experience. Then we walked into the room... it smelt musty as though water had been left lying and not dried out. The room was clean apart from the smell

The location is great, staffs are ok. The breakfast could be better but having rice and noodles is good. The rooms are fine except the shower is too small and the bathroom is small.

Great staff, Great location, then the hotel as accor members we were extremely disappointed Cold shower one day, hall way smelt, could here everything next door, not enough room for large luggage, floors were dirty especially the lifts and the rooms looked nothing like the photos. We booked in as our original booking in Melbourne was cancelled due to flood damage Unfortunately we would never use this hostel again and will not recommend it to any friends wither

We enjoyed our 2 nights at Mercure Welcome. Very centrally located and handy to shops, restaurants and The G. Room was clean and comfortable and the updated bathroom was lovely and absolutely spotless. Staff on check-in were very professional, polite and helpful.

The staff were professional and courteous. The only recommendation is the communication of using the $10 offset with no room clean. The form stated I could use this at the bar and on attempting to do so this was not accepted. Please ensure all staff know of this.
