Stayed 2 nights. Beds linen and towels were changed. On our return to the room, towels were stained with faecal like skid marks. Same was also found on the bed sheets. On removal of these sheets it appeared that the quilt had yellow urine like stains on them as well. Both times were reported to management. Both time all they could offer was an “apology”. Not satisfied with this. Especially since being an Accor plus member.

A very convenient hotel in downtown Melbourne. However the room was quite small and night noise from the street and other guests was disturbing. I thought just one plastic chair in the room was mean and expected more comfort, anc there were no soft pillows in the room which detracted from my comfort.k

The room was small and weathered and the neighbors were coming in and out and it wasn't that sound proof. The room wasnt serviced and there were two conditioners and no shampoo. A/C was noisey as was the tiny fridge.

Our experience was good overall . The staff were very helpful.The only improvements I can suggest , is a better air condition unit , the one we had in our room was very noisy, and possible a bath tub instead of shower , standard for hotel quality.

The lady at the front desk was excellent, and helped us loads. Our room was tidy but there are a few things that needed fixing up. There was some blood that got on one of the bed sheets, so we left it open for the service team to see and change. Later we discovered, they had not changed the sheets, just swapped it over to a less noticeable spot. I thought that was inappropriate, as at home, I would change the sheets straight away and clean them. Apart from that, it was good!

« My room was next to an elevator and the noise kept waking me all night. »

The king bed was two king singles pushed together and the quality of the mattress was terrible with a hard wire edging so lying across the mattresses was very uncomfortable.

As regular visitors to Mercure Welcome we find our overall experience generally very good. However there is one point we would make with respect to the "Convenience Rooms " which we feel needs attention. Because of disability it is necessary for us use these rooms and in some there are no soap dishes on the walls for use when showering so it is necessary to use the basin for the soap which means a person has to lean across ---not good for disabled people.
