« Noisy renovation »

I paid extra for an upgrade but could not stay in the room after 9 am because of the noise. I should get a reimbursement or discount instead for not able to relax in the room before work. The room has no desk which is not appropriate for business people.

I have had a look at our Duty Manager's log and I couldn't see any concerns from your room. Should you have let the Duty Manager know of how unhappy you were with the room allocated, I can assure you we would have done everything possible to rectify this situation, such as moving you to an alternate room. We have a Duty Manager in the hotel 24 hours a day whose primary purpose is to ensure that our guests are satisfied and that any of the small irritations they may experience are resolved. A wonderful experience from check in to check out. A pleasant surprise receiving an upgrade to a newly refurbished room. A room which was supurb.Modern features with a comfy bed and couch and to top it off a complimentary bottle of wine for being first guests staying in it which was completly unexpected. We have stayed here in the past and certainly will return in the future as a Pullman. Also the breakfast was great and the staff willing to help us with any questions we had. Thankyou to all staff.

Have stayed before and was upgraded to GOD but this time I took my friend as a birthday treat and the outside noise was horrible and we could hear the people next door. Not as pleasant a stay this time

« Too Loud. »

Renovations were happening on the Saturday afternoon even though website stated it was only Monday to Friday and we happened to be directly below. Noise from the street was incredibly loud, for a city hotel double glazing should have been compulsory but seems to be overlooked. Staff were good, room was clean a little to clean as the product smell was overwhelming on arrival. Orange juice in mini bar was 6 months out of date so overall not a great experience.

The upgrade was appreciated. The room very comfortable. There was some noise from the construction works which was a little intrusive however as I wasn’t in my room very much during the day, the impact was minimal.

« So many disappointments it was one after the other right from the start. »

Firstly the assistant charged the bill to the incorrect credit card after I asked her not too she said she would refund it but it takes 3 business days to get back in my account. We then went up to the 11th floor using the wrong lifts, (we weren’t told were to go) cams back down to the lobby asked where we need to go, got up to the 11th floor only to find she hadn’t given us a room key only a lift key. So.back down we go to get a room key. It took so long just to get to our room we were so annoyed.. found a few of the reception staff very rude and I’ve never experienced that in a hotel before it was very disappointing. The location of the hotel was great!

My wife and I had booked an executive suite for four nights sometime ago. When we arrived from the airport we were advised that renovations were being carried out and there would be some noise in the daytime and could we let staff know if there were any problems. When we arrived at our room (711) the noise was unbearable and so we returned to the check in counter and explained the situation. The staff were very helpful and relocated us to a refurbished room (1210) and on a higher floor further away from the noise. Even though there was noticeable noise during the day we enjoyed our stay and we look forward to staying in the rebranded hotel on a future visit to Melbourne. Many thanks to the concierge for all the helpful tips during our stay.

Greatest with a bunch of lovely staff members . I was treated with utmost respect and I couldn’t of asked for any better . Only criticism is that I would of loved to be able to use the bath tub but there was not a bath or even a basin plug. I know I could of called reception and asked for one . I found that I used more water than I would of needed to if I had a bath and basin plug .

On check in it took time to get my room key & had to ask for internet pass & drinks vouchers, had an issue with the EFTPOS machine for my business & personal card. Room 505 was very noisy early in the morning due to the lift shuddering I usually stay here & have given some excellent feedback. This trip however was disappointing.
