« Very enjoyable »

A problem at check in could have been avoided. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. There could be a little more storage space in the bathroom though. Housekeeping could have been more thorough and replacing the bottle of water would have been welcome. Breakfast was very good and overall, staff very pleasant. A stand containing brochures on the local area/maps and wineries would have been helpful.

Travel agent had not added Accor number to booking, and when reception was advised I am a gold member, although she was very pleasant, I wasn't offered a welcome pack or upgrade but told I would get the points.

« Generally good except two things  »

Good checkin and checkout experience. Most staffs are friendly with big smiles, saying hello and polite. Restaurant staffs are professional and foods are great. Only one front desk staff (at around 6:15pm16/7)without smiling, no greeting and make me feel I am annoying her! She just stand at the counter. Even a fast food McDonald's restaurant staff will greet you or say what can I get for you! I got an appointment at 11: 00am next morning, so I try ask for a late checkout. Without checking, she told me 12:00, because the appointment is for one and a half hour, so I ask her could it be like 2 o'clock. Her answer was the hotel is full, 12:00 is the maximum. That night after we finished our dinner, on the way to our room, there were plenty of unoccupied rooms. I also checked the validity of the same room type for that day and the checkout day on the AccorHotels App. She is a liar! I can book room for both dates. The other thing is I asked her about the small bottle of complimentary water is per room or per person. She told me it is per room and told me to go ask the restaurant and they might give me one! I am not begging for a small bottle of water! I ask because this is the first time two persons sharing a complimentary water in a Accor hotel!

Stunning views across the vineyards, uniquely quiet, relaxing and an enjoyable weekend for a good friends 40th Birthday. The staff were fantastic both pre dinner drinks and upon our return from Fino then again in the morning for a continental breakfast, a lovely stay as expected.

« Peaceful & Idyllic »

Really enjoyed staying here, in fact i would have preferred to have two or three nights. Had a great wine tasting by Liebichwein Vineyard followed by a magnificent dinner in the restaurant. All process from check-in to check-out were made very easy by some great staff. We will definitely return here.

We had a lovely time. Your staff were fabulous. Our meals ranged from fabulous to pretty ordinary. Warmed up chips are very ordinary. We both had medium steaks and one was perfect and the others rare. A buffet breakfast is O K but a specially cooked breakfast has the edge. The bathroom is lovely but I am shocked to see mildew growing and feel this should have been dealt with. The carpet edge requires attention before it rips out. The room was comfortable and lovely. Wi fi should be free and available in the room.

The Studio room was modern and clean. Loved having a balcony and the views were breathtaking!!! The Dinner food & service was a let down. Although you have a beautiful dinning room with a fire - it was COLD making it a little uncomfortable in winter. The Staff were friendly, but lacked an eye for detail. We had the House made pasta with Spencer Gulf Prawns, herb butter and sorrel for entree. The pasta, I must say was cooked to perfection, however the dish lacked seasoning and there was not enough sauce. The entree cutlery is way too small for the pasta so I had to ask for a spoon (standard with pasta i thought) & i used my main fork to be able to eat it. The salt grinder was empty and it took a while to get it refreshed (give us another one while you refill?). The main came out and we had no cutlery (used for entree) - we had to ask for it again - 3 differnt waiters and not one of them noticed we had no cutlery. We had the Hutton vale aged lamb with slow roasted red onion, fennel, and pearl barley risotto &Sirloin 250g Tarragon Butter or Mushroom Jus. The Lamb lacked seasoning again and tasted boiled and eventually too tough to eat. The risotto was nice. Steak cooked to perfection, Tarrogon butter was nice, but the mushroom jus was tasteless - not a hint of mushroom. We ordered sides (which were NOT needed) - the Rosemary roasted cocktail potatoes AGAIN lacked seasoning, could not tast any rosemary and the potates were NOT crunchy. You could tell they have been pre-roasted then deepfried to refresh - the oil needed changing. We had a cheese plate to share to finish. We had to ask for share plates and cutlery again. This is basic sequence of service! My husband ordered a coffee - a long black. It was so burnt you could smell it , a taste that took a while to get rid of. It was disgusting! Service recovery on this was done nicely and it was taken off the bill. Breakfast was a complete turn around when it came to the food. There was such a lovely variety of choices that ere so fresh and delicious. We avoided the coffee and used the self service machine - very nice compared to the other!! However the service was completely lacking - We were only greeted on arrival beacuse we walked up to the desk. We were then told to seat ourselves and as we walked off -we were asked if we had breakfast with you before. No we hadn't. We got a very unenthusiactic and extremly BRIEF description. It's not rocket sience & basically worked it out ourselves. Half way through breakfast I noticed the Sunday mail's - would have been really nice if it was mentioned or at least offered by any of the staff. Helped my self to it anyway. I understand that it was all self service, but a little suggestion makes for a even enjoyable morning, it would be nice to see the staff could smile a little! At least the food made up for that lack of enthusiam from the staff. When we left the restauant there were 3 staff standing at the welcome desk - one in a suit...Not one Good bye, Have a good Day, Hope you Enjoyed...let alone eye contact. We said goodbye with no response. This was a special night away for my husband and I. We were given a Red Ballon Voucher & we chose to come to you. We almost felt we shoud have made another choice.

« Overall OK stay. »

Overall the stay was nice. Dinner in the restaurant was what really let our stay down. Food was good but service needs improvement. Members of our table were having to chase wait staff to order food or drinks which then took over 30 mins to arrive. Granted we were in a group of 14 people - however the dining room was not busy by any means.

Staff were very prompt in email responses and very accommodating of requests. Our room was clean and modern. All the staff were friendly from the restaurant through to cleaning staff. We stayed in room 153 and could hear the movements of the guests upstairs very clearly. Banging/shutting of upstairs sliders can be heard clearly by the downstairs guests. All three rooms that we booked found this an annoying part of our stay. Might need to consider acoustic ceiling? We used Barossa & Light Cab company for all our transfers, I found it a little weird that concierge would not call them for us and wanted to direct us to another company even though I advised her that all our bookings were with B&LC. B&LC were very reasonably priced and went out of their way to accommodate us. They were always on time or before time, even collecting us from our restaurants with umbrellas in hand, great service.

room was nice. redecorated restaurant and bar much improved. Due to it being my birthday. Little disappointed that guarantees were made the bar would stay open to 12, but last drinks called at 11pm. but then we were encouraged to buy as much as we could and take back to the room! Staff were friendly throughout the stay.
