« All the facilities we needed in a beautiful location. »

Rooms and service were to the expected standard. As noted above location is excellent . I finished the survey and have come back to here. The survey questions do not really cover our, and I expect, many more visitors. We were part of an 180 person group from Australia wide single brand car owner clubs holding our biennial meeting in the Barossa. The Resort was selected by the SA organisers (obviously not by us), we booked via a dedicated website and just about all activities, at the Resort and elsewhere, were organised as part of our event. If we did have any complaint about the Resort it was that the WiFi connection was tempremental.

« Comfortable but insufficient time to fully utilise all facilities »

What we experienced was generally ok but would have liked more time at the resort to utilise the various facilities and to explore the immediate surroundings. One small criticism was that over three breakfasts we would have liked to see some changes in the hot food provided eg the sausages were the same type every day

« A bit short in my expectations. »

Not enough power points. Room did not have soap. No brochure on the layout of the hotel in rooms. At the celebration dinner, the drink package was not being delivered till I complained twice. The road in has rough section. A place to wash cars is needed for car club enthusiasts. 2 coffees were charged to our room despite us not having them. This was corrected. On the positive the front desk were very helpful. The bbq around the pool was just amazing. The design of the Hotel works.

« A mostly pleasant stay in a well equipped resort with exceptional staff »

The venue was great overall, providing everything we needed. Staff were particularly attentive and pleasant to deal with. However twice there was an extremely strong smell of cigarette smoke - firstly in our room (at 12.50AM!) which ruined my sleep that night, and again in the corridor near the function rooms during our pre dinner drinks. Despite the good points, this along would preclude me staying at your resort again, unless it was definitely addressed.

We enjoyed so many aspects of the Novotel but a couple of small items unfortunately are likely to remain in our memory for the wrong reasons. Our biggest disappointment was that there was no chilled drinking water provided, bottled water in the fridge would have been best but even a jug of tap water in the the fridge would have helped. Also fresh milk for coffee/ tea in the room would fit the image and standard that is promoted however the supplied UHT does not. What about individually packaged biscuits? Even budget hotels provide biscuits to have with tea and coffee in rooms. Cleaning was mostly to a good standard but once the toilet was missed ( not so much of a problem if toilet brush supplied). Also with the standard promoted the technology was not up to par ie antiquated computer connections and iPod dock could not charge devices. Noise from upstairs was only a problem when the sliding door to balcony was operated, we worked this out as our sliding screen door was also in need of maintenance for ease of sliding. Air conditioning remote did not work so we needed to operate on/off from the unit and we were not able to make adjustments. Leaves outside doors not removed. Setting and views are splendid. Staff friendly and helpful. Towels large and luxurious. Housekeeping discreet and mostly reliable. Meals superb and well presented. Room spacious and bathroom generous and shower luxurious.

« It was ok »

We have stayed here several times and felt the standard has dropped The tea was stale and so we bought tea and fresh milk down the street. the breakfast was very expensive considering the price of the room an offer for 2 for one for a few nights would have been nice. The room above us was very noisy sounded like they were shifting the furniture and stomping on the floor. Our previous stays were much better

« We had a relaxing one night stay enjoying the warm April weather in the pool aswell »

We found the staff friendly ( Cleaning staff could be friendlier ), the room clean, the view very beautiful & the food was excellent. But we found the air-conditioning in the restaurant too cold. Our room could have had a couple more glasses & utensils. On arrival we noticed that your Hotel has still not removed the old chain wire gates next to the entrance & barbed wire fence - looks disgusting. I wonder what image tourists would take back with them after seeing that. The Golf Links Road roadside could do with a regular mow & tidy as it looks shabby. The mine entrance corner needs to be maintained for safety & appearance. The garden beds in the pool area could do with a revamp. Nice to see the wooden tables & chairs near the pool area. Wasn't there last year when we stayed & I commented to my husband last time that it needed some. Entrance garden & wall looks a little dated. Maybe a render would give a more modern look. We both thought that lights placed at the base of the entrance driveway ( gum trees ) pointing up would give a spectacular look. Maybe a sculpture or two in a few focal points would enhance the outside ( garden in between the outdoor bar & westerly rooms) But the restaurant revamp is furnished beautifully & has a great feel.

« A wonderful stay in The Barossa! »

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Novotel Barossa Valley over the weekend! The check-in process was warm, welcoming, professional and seamless. We were pleasantly surprised by our room, which was clean, spacious and very well appointed (we had everything we could need or want over the weekend). The views were absolutely sensational and we would have loved more time to enjoy them! We made use of the excellent facilities over the weekend, including the gym, tennis courts, ping pong table and pool and all were fabulous. Service at the restaurant was excellent, too. We ate there on four occasions and three of them were great. Unfortunately, the meals on our first night missed the mark. Overall, a fantastic experience and we’d highly recommend the resort!

HI, We had a comfortable experience staying at the Novotel Barossa. Everything was great - the grounds, the food (in restaurant), the staff etc. The only negative was the room service. The room service was so disappointing. I think we paid close to $15 for the pie of the day which was a pie (it was decent) with a few leaves of salad and that it. All of this was delivered in a brown paper bag Uber eats style. the food was fine, but this concept is getting a little tired. I cant see how this model is in keeping with the hotel Ethos unless the cost saving as are passed on to the consumer? Small portions at high prices delivered in brown paper bags although may seem "on trend" was hugely disappointing. I had paid over $600 for two nights away to be pampered. Don't get me wrong i dont mind paying but when i pay and get an overpriced version of Uber eats, this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
