« Pleasant staff made my short stay less stressful »

Staff was very understanding of my situation (late night arrival and late night departure on the same day). They also kindly advised me of the different prices of transportation options to and from airport (decided to go with hotel car service). The only thing is that the breakfast food was not good at all and the ambiance at the restaurant is not very pleasant or welcoming.

best feature was the premier lounge, staff in premier lounge were by far the best in the hotel, especially the lady overseeing the staff on the premier lounge, she was the most friendly & helpful employee in the hotel

Good and efficient reception for check-in & check-out. Terrible smell problem for higher level (eg. 47 level) Poor breakfast quality (seems have everything, but almost all in low quality and tasting) comparing with other similar level hotels in SH.

Outstanding view from my room on Pudong and Huangpu River. Good advise from desk clerk to pay upfront avoiding the line I saw next morning to check out. To improve: the safe lock was not usable (displaying err1).

Boring breakfast food; over-priced; not always polite, and generally poorly-trained, staff; neglected-looking gym/pool area, with smelly unclean changing room; weak flow of shower-water in the bedroom. A hotel in serious need of attention and renovation and huge disappointment in a brand which in the past gave me good experiences.

I stay in this hotel for one night. Reserved 3 rooms. 2 rooms for my visitor. I occupied one room. We went up to the art 50 for dinner buffet. The chief attitude is rude and unprofessional. Pick his nose in front of the guest. I make a complain and one guy come over. His name is James, he mentioned he is the restaurant Manager. Without business card. Rude and bad attitude. I start to wonder, how come Novotel employee is untrained. Is it the hotel Instay is run by a well trained team? As a regular supporter to Accord group. I feel disappointed: the only thing I can do is share my comments. BTW. I'm waiting for a email from a guy call Jerry. He said he will send a email to me peraonally, 😓

Service was down gauged due to holiday period. Executive lounge was closed and only lobby lounge which provided very bad experience since I tried many Accor hotels.

I enjoyed my stay at the Novotel Atlantis Shanghai. The room was nice, everything was clean and as expected. As a European, I enjoyed trying out the different foods at breakfast time (steamed buns, dumplings, noodles etc), while still being able to access the things that I am used to as well. Although I intended to I didn't use the pool or the fitness suite and I didn't use the restaurants, choosing to go out in the evenings instead. Check in and check out was smooth and efficient.
