I like a lot the concierge attractiveness and like the reception quality. The security services are the best quality and also gourmets saved my day! The ATM would not work with my payment device of Visa from the Ukraine and other ATM upper to the same street worked fine. The restaurants were not so affordable as I expected and there was not clearly price detected from the rooms side elevators that produced a lot of confusions for me. The quality of food is exciting and amazing chiefs proposed their dishes, unfortunately I was confused that the bill would be too long and they were not happy of that as I disagreed to check the species. Please, add some sort of price specification. Room service is exciting - attractive lady that served me best, good idea of water bottles, lights tumbles best, not too much golf channels and business channels, good sleep, good bath and amazing look.

I stayed in this hotel for Business purposes already many times for 4 years now. The hotel is appearance generally is clean and proper. Great change in the groud Floor by removing old-glass walls of the wedding shop, now gives the hotel a better appearance. However the typical global brand-message (modern appearance), of a Novotel hotel has not been implemented yet in its appearance (e.g. Novotel color concepts, design Elements e.g. at reception and welcoming area, use of Novotel paper-based designed ads etc). Making a booking for this stay did not work in an efficient way through email, I Need to go to the hotel to quickly make the Reservation.

This was my third trip to Shanghai but the first time I stayed at the Shanghai Novotel Atlantis Hotel. I stayed 9 nights with a one-night break in between due to a conference out of town. I was efficiently checked into my room on a high floor in the 40s which turned out to be beautifully large, with wide windows overlooking the Huangpu River. The sight was stunning. The wifi worked straight away and fast, in the room, restaurant, bakery, lobby. The air-conditioning had three levels, all worked perfectly. The bathroom was squeaky clean, as were the bed and sheets. Shortly after entering my room, the telephone rang. It was Elena, calling to enquire specifically if I felt comfortable in the room and was there anything I needed. Her phone call was so welcoming and warm I thought I must go down and meet her the next day. As a female traveling on my own, such a call upon arrival (from an English speaking manager, even though I speak Chinese fluently) reassured me about my room and surroundings. Her professional and personal warmth lasted throughout my stay. Thank you Elena. After a long night's flight from Europe, and with the Shanghai night approaching, the 2nd floor restaurant menu offered dishes that would suit the famished as well as the “just tired" eater. The hotel is conveniently located within a 6-minute walk to the metro in a quiet, non-touristic section of Pudong. The breakfast is one great asset the hotel offers, at a very competitive price if not already included in your reservation: Chinese breakfast with dim sum and Shanghai dumplings (the Chinese dough was delicious), wonton soup, noodles, oil sticks (youtiao) and beancurd milk, Shanghai breakfast (congee, various pickles, shredded pork, Chinese salty eggs), and a large choice of Chinese dishes. Japanese sushi for sushi fans. Western breakfast with eggs, toast, delicious viennoiseries (mini almond croissants, mini pain aux raisins and au chocolat, and croissants, all better than my local French boulangerie baker!). And of course the fruit platters. And the coffee would pass a demanding Frenchman’s approval. Even towards the end of breakfast service, the dishes, viennoiseries and platters are all replenished, so you are not penalized if arriving for a late breakfast. The ground floor bakery is quiet and looks out onto the street. A French compatriote Quentin, also took care of me when I enquired if I could keep my room for that extra night even though I would be absent. Sensing my worry about lugging my luggage back and forth, Quentin immediately suggested I make a late-check out and leave my big bag with them overnight which I would recuperate the following day. He had other suggestions to make me feel comfortable before heading out to an unknown destination. Merci cher Quentin. And of course the Chinese staff, most helpful, shiny and courteous at all times, a real pleasure: young Jeffrey, Andy, John on their internship, Emily at the business center, and reliable Kobe at the Conciergerie, always cheerful, polite, professional, and warm smiles, thank you to each. When I left Shanghai, I felt as though I had a new family! Next occasion I return to Shanghai, I will come back without a moment’s hesitation.

I had booked from booking.com 4 nights, but had to leave early one night for some reason. I had requested to reduce my 1 night charges to the hotel and booking.com both but was fail to get so. I didnt cancel my entire stay just instead of 4 nights stayed 3 nights !! I think the property can consider that much and return one night charge which were debitted from my credit card in advance.

initially I was arranged in a noisy room next to lift. changed to another room upon request but it's NOT on executive floor(from 43 floor to 41 floor) which I paid for. changed again to another room on 42 floor but the room was smaller than the initial one on 43 floor, and receptionist argued that size was the same! and there's a welcome card for another guest in the room...

Price was very fair. Room size was better than expected. Breakfast good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Downside was the plumbing as shower didn't drain well. Some decor looked a bit tired.
