It was a wunderfull trip. We booked a junior suit, the view from the 7th floor was amazing. The breakfast was very excellent. The Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel close to the city center. Szeged is a beautiful city.

Great hotel, lovely view, friendly staff, good food. Very nice corner for kid’s entertainment. They even got small presents on arrival. Nice park nearby. On the river bank. Walking distance to the center of the town. We will definitely visit again.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, we stayed on a Sunday and Monday night, the problems that I had was the bed - extremely uncomfortable with someone that has a back problem also I couldn't eat breakfast I tried the boil egg that was stone cold and brown so couldn't eat that and then I tried the fruit which was brown. To be honest myself and my colleague were the only ones in the for breakfast and then later joined by 3 others surely you could have provided a breakfast for so few people. Also a toaster might have helped I could have then had toast and jam.

For having tried several accommodations in various hotels in Szeged, Novotel is interesting alternative of those rare in city center (15’ walk) and with views to river. Hotel well maintained and very clean (could be refurbished at new Novotel standard) but the staff is really helpful. Excellent breakfast with nice view and personnel smile and offer you sometimes croissants Spa maybe not the most interesting in Szeged , but available at least. I will be back there for sure..

Our experience with the hotel was really good except a few small things, see below. Staff at the front desk was very kind and the check in was quick thanks to the online check in feature of the AccorHotels app. My daughters received a welcome gift (collectible animal soft toys). The junior suite was clean and tidy and it offers a generous space for a family of 4 thanks to the separate bedroom. The view from the room was spectacular as it overlooked the town. As an added extra the Votive Church looks beautiful after dusk. Although the range of items available for breakfast changed in the last year (personally I think the selection shrinked a bit) it is still world class. When we asked Zsolt (who is one of the staff organising the breakfast and was always there when we visited the hotel in the last 6 years) if they can make some porridge and semolina pudding for our daughters it wasn’t a problem for them. Now the things we didn’t like and makes room for improvements for the hotel. We used the cups and spoons when we made a cup of tea. The next day after housekeeping was finished and we arrived back to our room we found one cup and a spoon still dirty as they weren’t cleaned properly. Unfortunately the sanitary bags weren’t replaced in the bathroom either. These are things shouldn’t happen in a hotel. Compared with other Novotel hotels we would like to see a selection of 100% fresh fruit juices.

Situated in Szeged city center, comfortable, large rooms, very clean. Breakfast time was a bit crowded, food selection was fine, I preferred order espresso or capuccino instead of drinking from the coffe-machine. Unfortunatelly - but this remark refers to the city- museums were not open (Easter time) so after a day it was difficult to spend our time, when the weather was cold and rainy.
