« Always a good choice for Business Travelers »

It was more or less my sixth or seventh time and I am always pretty happy @Novotel Center Norte. Nice people are working there, you will find a nice bar and a great Sushi restuarant inside as well as many opportunities to do something different as working all time. And the hotel is pretty close to a huge shopping center with a lot of shops and restaurants of all kind. And Guarulhos Airport is not too far away and good to reach.

This was the sixth or seventh time @Novotel Center Norte. As always a very good choice, the rooms have everything you need as a business traveler, nice breakfast with a lot of variety and near by a big shopping center. As well the international Airport is pretty close to the hotel.

Having a reservation for the 28th of August, I arrived at the hotel (together two colleagues from the company) around 12:00 on the 28th. There were no rooms available, we left the luggage at the hotel and left. So far so good. There is no obligation at all to have an early check-in. We returned to the hotel on the same day, August 28. I was attended at 11:52 PM by the front desk clerk, who reported that there were no rooms available “yet”. After some time they found a room. It had already happened the same with my colleague who was attended before and also with the one that was after me. There were at least four other guests in the same situation. I asked to speak to the manager, I was informed that there was no manager at that time and that the reception staff would be responding by the hotel At checkout in the next day, August 30 I asked to speak to the manager. I was introduced to another person. I asked him to confirm that he was the manager. He said that the manager could not attend and that he was responsible for the front desk. I gave up insisting. This is a very far from what is expected of an Accord hotel. I did not perceive at any moment an interest in easing the discomfort caused by the situation, absolutely unjustifiable. The hotel knew that we had arrived early, but nothing was recorded so as to ensure prompt availability upon actual check-in, which in fact should occur with or without the early arrival information.

Novotel São Paulo Center Norte is an excellent hotel for closed events, far from the best attractions, making traveling difficult and with a very bad neighborhood. A lot of travel time is spent to theaters, airports and restaurants in the city.

« Disapointing mainly in getting my Nota Fiscal proving the payment »

The stay was ok but as the Nota Fiscal was delivered to me when I made the payment I was informed that it would be sent by email in the next day. It was not. After 4 days I called the hotel and asked one of the assistant about the Nota Fiscal (Ms. Michelle) and she informed that I would need to send the hotel an email asking formally the Nota Fiscal. It is not adequate. The hotel has a legal obligation to give the customer the prove of the payment.

Overall experience was great. I just didn't enjoy having to pay for parking as I never have to do so when I travel across the US and Canada. Also I notice just a few members of the staff could speak English. I'd recommend you guys to work on that.

I stayed in the hotel during a business trip. My first night, I had to complain to the reception because there was a lot of noise in the hallway at midnight: people were talking from room to room in the hallway, yelling, laughing, dropping objects. This went on from 10PM to midnight. I called the reception at midnight when I could not sleep and was annoyed. They responded that they could not do anything because it was a football team and that I would have to change rooms if I wanted a more silent floor. In the future, the staff should ensure that loud teams and groups have their own floor, since they cannot control the noise levels and refuse to talk to the customers that are being loud. It was very frustrating to have to pack everything in the middle of the night to change rooms, and to be treated like my comfort was less important than others. I will continue staying at other Accord hotels, but not at this one.

« Could be better »

Need to improve customer service at the restaurant and not trying to kick people 10 minutes before 10. They are many ways to ask for it. The smell was terrible. They don't clean as we asked, it was 5pm and the room still dirty.

I was negatively surprised to learn how there is a significant reduction of employees that can understand English or even Spanish. My experience with room service was terrible with people not understanding what I wanted to order and turned into having delivered twice the incorrect or incomplete order... two times the same sandwich. Sadly also room cleanliness is lacking.
