The hotel is poorly managed. for 7 out of 9 nights that i stayed there, there were no towels and bath mats in the room. the hotel doesn't seem to have enough towels so staff have to scrounge around between rooms looking for towels. The staff allow guests to throw parties with loud music, numerous people and unruly behaviour and don't put a stop to it even after numerous complaints. The room smells stuffy as if the carpets and couches were never cleaned.

« Super-friendly but important details not up to standard »

I was delighted by how friendly and helpful the hotel staff were, and enjoyed the breakfast buffet. However there were a number of problems that should not have arisen: 1. The shuttle driver was not there to meet us at the airport as booked; we had to call the hotel to ask them to come. 2. Electricity was not working in our room when we arrived -- I had to find and reset the earth leakage breaker. 3. One towel for two guests in a suite that could host four people? Not good. But we made do because we arrived late and had to leave early and didn't have time to arrange another one. The staff themselves were lovely when I interacted with them -- but I feel that there are basic issues that need addressing in the management of this hotel.

I stayed for 4 nights the guy who checked me in had a terrible attiude u would swear I was staying in his house lol. Anyway the rest of the staff was ok. The room itself needs to be upgraded desperately at least put aircons in each room or at least a nice fan in the room because the aircon in the lounge just doesnt do it. Also url need to provide better towel services to the people staying. The gate staff are very unfriendly I understand that they are an external company but there attitude represents the Mercure group as a whole.

We were very pleased at first to have found a great Hotel chain close to where we wanted to be and very well priced. However, what we received was Not what was advertised. Had to daily ask for towels. A Kitchenette was advertised, yet Never got the pot we ordered. we have a baby and we need it for food prep. The place is run down, not to Accor Standards. The staff seem to be willing to serve locals more than us, we felt very discriminated by.

It was difficult to get towels.there were 6 of us and we were renting two double rooms.we were told there were no towels or they are still washing the towels.we were also given towels usually used as a mat in the bathroom.also i emailed for reservation but for the second time it was not in the system.the man working on my last visit was nice and helpul

What only kept us was the proximity to Eastgate Mall. Otherwise this is more like a lodge (no star) can not imagine a hotel with a bathroom like that. You have to call reception to get towels. There was one chair which the word dirty can no describr that. Used yo stay at Mercure it was nice. Now the standard are terrible.

First was put in a room where the telephone wasn't working, no towels, no supplies. It was a great inconvenience. But a lady at reception was extremely helpful. Sindi, I think. She deserves a medal. She got me a better room with all the necessary accessories and nearer to the restaurant.

The hotel is clean but the pool can use some maintenance as well, it was dirty. The Hotel stuff was helpful and made it easier for us to get around. The area was peaceful until we were woken up early the next morning by loud employees of a construction company opposite your premises, but other that our stay was satisfactory.

Stay was fine. Good room size,didn’t feel crammed. No soap in the room though. No shower cap. 1 set of amenities for two adults. Shower leaked onto floor. Same issues I’ve had in all my previous stays
