Absolutely superb hotel. Started with a fantastic welcome and check in. Booked a junior suite and was allocated room 315. A very large room with a massive balcony. The outdoor furniture could be a bit better for the scale of the balcony but overall the room was excellent. Welcome bottle of wine arrived courtesy of the manager - maybe due to Accor status, but a nice touch. Pool area is very nice and the sun lounges vey comfortable, even though the pool is on the small side. Facilities and amenities all top notch. No complaints and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A nice surprise....I travel too much, too many hotels. This was a welcome relief. Assistant Manager was extremely helpful. Room was roomy, very clean, well appointed for business and finally AC that didn’t annoy me. Tamarind restaurant staff were outstanding food good but not exceptional. Duck curry way too much sugar. The hotel was so relaxing I wanted to stay another night but home called! Ps join Accor it pays you back in spades.....Nicolas

« We love the Pullman Reef Hotel Casino! »

To start with, the place smells amazing! We’be even ordered a Pullman scent candle. Our room was beautiful and had an amazing outlook. The bed was comfy and we loved the pillow menu. The staff were not only attentive, but also polite and helpful. The food in Chinese restaurant near the lobby was delicious. The casino was great fun, and the croupiers, floor managers and waitresses were wonderful. We’ve already decided we’re going back up to Cairns to stay at the Pullman again. Because of our experience at The Pullman Reef Hotel Casino, we will now look for a Pullman Hotel whenever we’re making travel plans.

Comfortable. The only thing I will say is that whilst I am extremely grateful of always receiving water views, up until around 12 months ago my upgrades were usually to a Junior suite. This is my favourite room in Australia and I would love to have any more opportunities that may arise if they are available when I am staying

Our stay as per previous was enjoyable with a mar as per title. We had stayed in the Junior suite City views before so I was looking at experiencing the Junior suite with Trinity inlet view as per the website. I booked on the Online website ( turned out be Expedia) 2 nights Wed 6th, Thurs 7th June Junior suite Trinity inlet views...I doubled checked to ensure I was actually booking Junior suite Trinity inlet...Once I established it was, I proceeded & received confirmation, great! The problem started when I wanted to add 1 extra night?, I re entered the booking, the system wouldn't allow the change so I called Pullman RHC reception requesting an additional night, the receptionist was very polite & stated I had to go via Expedia, she gave me Expedia's contact number, I also asked if the room was available for that extra night, she reply yes it was. ( Around 8:00pm.) I called Expedia, was told that additional night was not available!, I replied it was, it's your system that's wrong, give Pullman RHC a call to confirm...put me on hold....5-10mins ..Told me I had to cancel booking & re book it!, I replied Don't worry about it, I'll keep to the original booking...put on hold again...he came back on the only to tell me, he had cancelled the original booking & for me to wait 2hrs & re book!! I told him " For such a small, simple request! You have managed to stuff it right up!!! You f... Idiot!!.... ( 1st & last time I'd use or recommend Expedia!!) I then called Pullman RHC reception where I spoke to the receptionist...explained what happen, she viewed the booking & re booked it, I asked If it was still the Junior suite with Trinity views... she replied it was..I thought great!! For those whom have stayed at Pullman RHC before will agree.. to step up from the City views is undoubtedly the view of the Trinity inlet!! The reception on arrival, every staff member, room service, China cafe, Tamarind & the cleaners are exceptional people & highly commend Pullman for the incredible environment they provide!. When making the booking, I mentioned to the staff that we were staying at the Casino to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, as we held our wedding reception in the Casino Ball Room 10 years ago. We have always tried to stay at the Casino for our anniversary when we could. And have stayed for other occasions. The staff did not acknowledge this, nor did anything special to make our stay memorable. There was nothing complimentary. Asked for Water View, room was on second floor and could only see a little bit of water due to trees blocking the view. Patio area was dirty with leaves etc.

Although a little extra effort made due to our ten year wedding anniversary with a bottle of wine, a little disappointed with the housing keeping service, if you going to make a bed make it fully not half an effort, food in tamarind was average at best and not what we recalled from 10 years ago when we stayed on our honeymoon, also the room was ready earlier but no call to let us know athough promised.

checking in easy and efficient. room v clean .. phone and tv not working and had to be moved only to have tv not work in second room! pool area lovely , however, yspa was extremely noisy for some reason. check out ok, unfortunately, the issues above were not easily understood by the staff member. matthew @ concierge was very helpful. breakfast lovely, staff very helpful and friendly. some language problems but the staff concerned were trying their best. special mentioned to Karin in Tamarind.

Very good except our breakfast in bed did not arrive. Then when I rang they rushed brought wrong order and it was tasteless and too late by then to eat. Reception staff were excellent and we were not charged. Other than that it was perfect!

Everything was fantastic. Check-in was quick and we immediately felt welcomed. You upgraded us to a suite that was magnificent and truly made our anniversary a special one. The room was gorgeous and comfortable. And we were grateful for the champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries . . . an elegant touch. The amenities were exceptional from the rain shower-head, lighted makeup mirror, and larger towels. It was the best hotel stay we have ever had.
