Lovely hotel right in the heart of the Latin Quarter, a five minute walk from Luxembourg Gardens and within a few minutes from some lovely restaurants. The staff were very accommodating and the breakfast were superb. The hotel is within walking distance of most of central Paris’s tourist attractions. A great hotel with great staff and good value. We will be returning.

Took a bed and breakfast for holidays. but definitely not a 4 star hotel. Stayed one week before in a 4 star hotel in waterloo in same hotel group (novotel) and it was completely different. bed was not comfortable at all. few things need to be changed. door n windows not sound proof. had a clogged wash bassin but they did the needful after complain. Hotel was not as described on the website. Think it needs a good renovation. Think with a budget of around 130 euros per night We could had ve got a much better value for money hotel. It lacked variety in its breakfast. However the staffs were ok trying to help in every situation.

Beating a Parisian heatwave

We checked into the Mercure Sobbonne for one night on the last and most extreme day of a late July heatwave. We desperately need air-conditioning. We found much more -- a friendly staff, a lovely sitting area, a comfortable room, a great location. Really nice hotel. We will stay there again on our last day in Paris.

my experience was excellent, the hotel is full of charm, lovely, best location you can find in Paris as it is at working distance from Saint Michel, Saint Germain etc...the rooms on the backyard are very calm at any hour of the day and night and even the rooms on the street are calm after working hour.

There was only one person at the reception desk so normally have to wait for long to get to talk to the stuff. and when i asked for a late check out she did not know how to proceed it.

the hotel is lovely with an small interior garden, the manager is 100% service oriented, the street is calm however right in the middle of Saint Michel. The room street side are calm after working hours and the room backyard side are really calm and it is good to find a peaceful retreat in such a lovely and one of the most traditional district of Paris!

Hotel was in a great location and staff were welcoming. However, website was misleading because we thought the hotel had a car park/parking arrangement included in the rate - the 100 Euro extra charge for 3 days of parking was not welcome!

The hotel is located in the Sorbonne area which feels very safe. Very near to a metro station and Monoprix (supermarket), as well as a self service laundry. The hotel staff was very nice especially the ladies at the breakfast room. The buffet breakfast was very yummy. I especially like the jazz music they played at the hotel. On the flip side, our room was very small and dark as it was on the first floor facing the courtyard. The bath tub with half a glass door was a really bad idea as water was splashed all over the bathroom when showering - a simple shower cubicle would have been much better

The reception staff is amazing! They took great care of us during our 2 night stay. I would especially like to mention Alexandre who helped us from reservation to check out. He was the highlight of our stay! The location of the hotel is perfect, just 5 min walk from the metro and on the main line from the Airport and Gare du Nord. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paris.

I booked 3 weeks prior to my stay. The day of check-in I received not 1 but 3 emails cancelling my reservation for no reason whatsoever. Over the phone, the manager yelled at me and was extremely rude, arrogant and unprofessional! At check-in, I was forced to pay my stay in cash and full in the middle of the night even though this was NOT specified by the booking email. I will review this hotel on as many websites as I can in the next weeks. Worse experience ever as far as hotels are concerned. Horrible!

Very comfortable front room on the third floor where the double paned windows kept 99% of any of the minimal noise from the rue de La Sorbonne. Friendly and helpful staff and very nice breakfasts. The location couldn’t be better to the Latin Quarter and all transportation is within minutes walk from the hotel.

The room was too small for what we paid. I did not like having the second floor. At the beginning we had problems to connect to the wifi. The bathroom was too small and old. The last day there was a problem with the electricity, only one lamp worked, no light in the bathroom.
