The hotel is well located in Bordeaux in a quiet area with easy access to the main attractions. Accommodation was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and very helpful although we did have to wait for 20 minutes for a taxi to take us to the airport. I would recommend this hotel.

ived and greeted by a receptionist who was very unprofessional. Did not explain anything. Despite being a club Accor member and prebooking and prepaying was given a room overlooking internal courtyard instead of river. The room stank of cigarette smoke. Check in time was from 2pm and I was told no other rooms were ready to change mine but miraculously they found one after I started shouting at them. The receptionist never apologised and argued back. Floor 5 was like an obstacle course with all the cleaners equipment everywhere. It was hazardous. They have big problems here cleaning rooms with old rotten room service food dumped in hallways for hours on end. At time writing the room next to mine on 6th floor has 2 plates of rotten food there for 8hours. The rooms are far from perfect with cosmetic damage to walls. The air conditioning is noisy. Apparently hotel has a spa but where! I will never stay here again. Bad choice !p

We stayed in the hotel prior to embarking on a river cruise, only a short, easy, walk away along the lovely Quai des Chartrons. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and our room (a Privilege room) was large and quiet, albeit with no view. There was an adequate range of cold & hot food for breakfast and the views of Bordeaux and the Garonne from the dining room are amazing.

Pleasant place and convenient location to stay for a short visit to Bordeaux. During our stay the weather was extremely hot with daily temperature in the 40+ C and the air condition in the room was most welcoming. Breakfast room is on the top floor with very good view of the surrounding area accompanied by a varied selection for breakfast. We travelled by car so the underground secured car park was most appreciated even for a large SUV (height is 1.94m), our vehicle was able to enter and leave without any problem though extreme caution must be exercised. Hotel reception had offered us a parking ticket for use for the duration of our stay and it was very convenient and cheaper than paying the daily rate.

The rating says four stars, it is more like three stars. Good thing is the location which ideal when visiting Bordeaux. It seems that there are nearly no staff members who are interested to make your stay comfortable. There is many things to improve regarding cleanliness, service, maintenance, breakfast, but most of all the attitude of staff needs to be changed. Team spirit of the staff is totally missing and it effects the service and it makes it embarrassing to follow their work.

What a great location you have - my 2nd stay here. First was at the MW conference a few year's ago. If you are a morning runner, there is no better place to stay to be able to run along the embankment.

The breakfast was a joke . No bacon left ? Fry your own eggs , I no im British like but there was no coffee ,no extra sugar no toast ,I mean come on its not the cheapest breakfast by any means .

Honestly, it was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed before. Shower, doors, sofa were brocken and barely alive. The carpet was full of dust and I had an awful allergy in the morning. Curtains were full of stain. Towels and bed-linen were almost black clour (deeply dark grey). One of the bottles of evian in the mini-bar was already opened and refilled with tap water. Lady at the reception, while I was checking in, was very unfriendly and rude. As I booked a junior suite for two people but arrived without a husband I was not asked about a refund of tax, which was surprisingly charged in advance for two. Normally, you are paying a room charge in advance, but city tax upon check out. Furthermore, as you charged me for two persons you had to prepare the room for two as well. However, it was only 1 bathrobe and slippers. So in case, we came as planned together I had to go to reception and wait for the second set. In the morning I wanted to call reception and order a taxi, however, it was not possible as it was not written anywhere how to dial reception or concierge or housekeeping, etc. You have a dial number only for the restaurant. However, I have to admit that a young gentleman at the reception in the morning was very nice and helpful. Probably he is the only good thing I can say about my stay. I wish I didn't make the mistake and stayed here after our amazing holidays in Arcachon and went for my early morning flight directly from there rather than stayed for 1 night in your hotel.

We enjoyed the experience very much. The room was very nice with a lovely view and nice layout - it was a shame the original room was horrible but we appreciated the move. We find it strange to have a toilet which has not hand washing facilities but we have had this before in France. The breakfast offer and service were both excellent and the location wonderful

Hotel itself was nice and well located. Check-in went well, I specifically asked if breakfast was included in my room price and the answer was yes. However, during check-out I was told it wasn't and I had to pay for it. Interesting part was that I overheard another couple complaining about the same thing. This results to avery bad customer experince (especially as barely ate anything, just had coffee with 16€...). I sincerely hope this is not your standard way of operating and it was just a coincidence to have two similar issues within two days.

Comfort and location very good. Main issue staff lack of friendliness . During our stay there was a problem with unpleasant smell in room and we asked to be moved , the staff on duty was friendly and agreeable to this ( male italian ) but when we went next morning to arrange the change of room the female staff member was indifferent to us and we had to explain again what had happened. We had a few brief encounters with staff after that but found them again very casual and indifferent.

At check-in we were given the key to a room which was already occupied by another guest, so we were really surprised to get into the room and find that all the personal belongings from another guest. We of course went back to reception to get another room allocated. We didn't feel very sage knowing that our room could also be allocated to someone else who could potentially get into the room and get access to our belongings. Staff did not seem to appreciate the problem with this isue.
