was good except one of the beds was broken in our room, which thwy tried to rectify but my question is how is it that they new about it and leftt it like that and still charged the full price for the room even after I have complained about the broken bed .

I went to breakfast and was told to sit anywhere so I filled a glass with water as I didn't have any thing to put on the table to reserve it. I had some Weetabix and fruit to start with and went to get toast with mushrooms and tomato. When I returned my table had been cleared so I mentioned to the staff that I hadn't finished so they found me another table. I went to get some juice but when I returned another person was at my table but that person moved. On a third occasion I went to get some muffins, left them on the table and went to get a cup of tea. When I returned the muffins and my juice had disappeared. A young girl came over to offer to mind my table as her family had witnessed the debacle. One of the staff was very apologetic but I didn't get her name. I reported the incident to the manager when I checked out.

The room was comfortable, however the bathroom door had a crack in the bottom on one side and a piece of the door missing on the back. The cupboard was dusty. The bathroom products were lovely, as was the breakfasts, however could not get dinner organized the evening of check in. Even the reception tried and couldn’t! So it was nice, but some fundamentals were difficult.

I mentioned my membership when checking in and again when checking out but I don’t think it was recorded. I said I couldn’t get wifi each day, nothing done. I said the phone wasn’t working, nothing done. 1 put of peppermint tea supplied on day one but not replenished during my stay. Staff woke me at 6.30...7am talking loudly and laughing outside my door as they were starting their day getting everything out of the storeroom opposite.

Our time at the Novotel was good, I found the room comfortable, breakfast was nice. Some staff were lovely but I did see some interactions between staff that showed there were some issues, not something guests want 2 see....

The room, staff, hotel, and restaurant were excellent. My only complaint is that the default room temperature was too low and I couldn't raise it high enough when I went to bed.

Staff were welcoming Room was clean and very quiet despite it being a Saturday night. Had drinks with friend and family at bar... great musician was playing. Food was great. Only complaint was as a large group of footballers group was staying (they were well behaved) ... at breakfast some food ran out. Thanks again!

Although our booking was 'in the system ' they didn't have our keys ready. It took a long time to check us in to get the room we had booked, an Executive King with balcony. A large queue developed behind us which is always uncomfortable. The website suggested that to get the $1 breakfast you had to select that option during the online booking. That never presented as an option. The check-in desk was 'surprised' by my request to provide the $1 breakfast option. We used our Accor card for dinner at the restaurant that night. It was not good and over-priced. It was average at best and well below the standard expected at these prices. Many nearby restaurants have better dining at less cost. The hotel generally is not up to Novotel standards, very tired. The room was weird in that the bathroom had no vanity so the bathroom items such as shampoo and conditioner etc were in another room. I've never seen that before and I don't want to see it again. It was difficult. The parking was odd. You had to leave the key but the hotel did not accept responsibility for the car. The car was moved etc. The key was once with the desk, but then with the parking valet in the basement. (Don't want that job on a freezing Canberra day.) And then we've been double charged, an issue that hasn't yet been cleared up by your finance dept. All in all, this is well below the standard expected of a Novotel hotel. The staff at the desk, in the restaurant and housekeeping were trying hard to provide a good service but overall the experience was poor. BTW, your website is awful and needs to be simplified dramatically.

Anthony who checked us in was by far the only good thing about our stay - he was professional, personable and polite... hotel room was worn and marked, restaurant staff so rude and non welcoming we ordered Uber eats instead of giving them our business.. all staff looked and acted like they’d been dragged there... even the GWS players commented so..

front office staff was great room was outdated we are marriott platinum members and for 4.5 hotel not that great,bar staff great dinning room run of their feet also not great dinner had monet deal very 3out 10 food was cold main meal,sent it back it.no good was nuked got offer to stay another night for $99 ONLY WHEN I GOT HOME we would have stayed ,i love bar and dining are was great, great view,breakfast great 10/10 yes we sure would come back i was a chef i can see the food dinning was below 4.5 star hotel but love your hotel felt like uk

I found it difficult to talk to staff members at your Canberra hotel to book accomodation . One said there was no double rooms and I could see on the website there were rooms available to cater for family . Meals were pleasant , however each time we ate there I could tell the staff were under a lot of pressure.

Spent an enjoyable 3 days here. Hotel is very comfortable and has all the services we needed. Valet Parking staff are very good, but the parking area is very small & $25 per day is very excessive. Dining facilities are good, great quality food at reasonable prices, limited range of menu options. Bar staff are very attentive / friendly. Restaurant staff are friendly, but could be more attentive to taking dinner & drink orders for guests.

Novotel has the ideal location for a stay in Canberra - literally off the bus and a few steps to the hotel; located mid-way (ish) between Civic and ANU and has eateries all around if you don’t feel like hotel food. The staff were amazing as well - check in was done in no time at all; extending our stay was easy and leaving our bags in storage was especially convenient.
