« Central location though lots of roadworks make access awkward »

I have stayed at this Novotel before and returned as it is close to the places I needed to visit. I have a couple of comments to make. The roadworks out the front of the hotel made access difficult especially when trying to stop to checkin. While there is a sign to Parking at the rear of the building it was difficult to park due to the tightness of the parking spots. I only found later that there is a valet service where the car is parked and retrieved for guests. The hotel itself was fine and I have no complaints about the accommodation or the breakfast.

« The hotel is a little older and getting shabby but was generally pleasant and clean. »

Disliked the breakfast system - the food was great but had to wait for a long time, no signage and then the staff were quite unhelpful on the first day. Then the next day it was a guy from PNG and he was extremely helpful and nice.

The reception staff were lovely. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Would have been nice to have a couple of biscuits to nibble on though. I definitely will stay with you again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was basic, not too small, but quite clean. The ambience in the bar/restaurant was very good. Breakfast was quite reasonable.

Great room (as far from elevators as possible... so a quiet room !!! Breakfast was good, coffee could have been better. Overall a relaxing experience.

I asked for the shower to be fixed 3 times, the water pressure was not good emough to wash my hair, mty requests were ignored, not good enough. The shower head was broken which they did fix, it was down too low on the arm. Reception was aware of my complaint but did nothing to rectify.

The hotel was nice and in a great location A shame the pool wasn’t warm enough to enjoy, it just needs to be heated a little more - which was definitely the general consensus of everyone who went in the water while we were there. And the parking was terrible - for $25 per night, they expect you to leave your keys either with parking attendant/valet or at the front desk - which meant every time you come and go, you have to wait to get your keys and find your car - they certainly didn’t have this process refined. I’d accept some inconvenience if it was free - but to pay $25 for such a poor service was frustrating - and will actually prevent me from staying again - there is lots of nice accommodation in the area!

from check in to check out everyone and everything was so lovely. the staff were so friendly, even putting us in an apartment room for some more space. rooms were tidy and the bed was super comfortable. almost a perfect stay aside from housekeeping coming in to the room despite the 'privacy' tag being on our door. but still lovely stay nonetheless!

« Slowest internet ever, and bathroom not cleaned »

First time staying at Novotel Canberra. Stayed overnight for business and I was disappointed. Internet was so slow it was pretty much useless. Bathroom was not completely clean and had hair on the floor. I mentioned to the front desk when I checked out and they didn’t even apologised but brushed it off and proceeded with taking payment from my credit card. Very poor form.
