Kids had a great time, close to everything and enjoyed their time in the pool. Staff were very freindly, always willing to assist. Breakfast was lovely, great selection and plenty of it considering it was a busy period. Will stay again on my next visit.

« Quiet and convenient »

I enjoyed the proximity to the Civic centre and shopping, bus ports etc. The entry lobby is very unappealing, the staff were helpful and courteous in the reception and restaurant. Cleaning was very efficient : really great daily service. Was surprised to be provided with 1 daily spoon and 2 fresh mugs, please provide cups and saucers too and do you think 1 fresh spoon a day ok? Air conditioning worked well but would prefer windows that enabled me to see the street - I usually book a room with balcony and opening windows, so would need to consider this next time. The pool was in lovely condition but I am used to heated indoor pools this one was cold - I stayed in 10 mins and left. The shower needs to be replaced - the grout is filthy and there is mould. The base and bathroom were kept clean by staff but the entire color scheme of the hotel needs an upgrade. I really enjoyed the quietness at night in the hotel and enjoyed the proximity to the experiences I was there for NGA and Museum. The beds were great quality and I slept well. A good stay and perfect for restful exploration of Canberra.

« it was underwhelming »

We ordered room service and the food was poor, there were no bath robes in our room and when I requested them I was told they would be bought to the room it took 30 mins and I was then called to say that the hotel had run out and I should call back tomorrow and see if they had any. I suggested that they could maybe make a note that we had requested one. The pool pop up bar was a nice idea but there was no supervision of the large number of children who obviously could not read the no diving signs. The car parking attendants were excellent.

I had a great sleep - beds were large and comfortable and pillows perfect for me. The room was a little bland which isn't a problem in itself really. It was stuffy when we walked in - air con helped with that. Corners of the carpet were not vacuumed properly and there was a build up of dust. the shower could you some attention - particularly the tiles which were dirty. Second bed had a little mould on the top of the covers. Not worth complaining about for a quick one night stay but would have had to say something for a longer stay.

Our room was ready at the time of our arrival and was clean and spacious. The location is handy to our favourite spots in Canberra and we enjoyed shopping and dining out within easy walk of our room. The buffet breakfast was enjoyable and the 11am checkout time meant we didn't have to rush. The staff were all professional and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay, there was a staff member I think his name was Paul, he was an identical twin and very friendly and exceptionally helpful! My only feedback is that the pillows need replacing

« Basic »

Room wasn’t cleaned even though we put the “please clean room” sign out three times. When we spoke to reception they gave us some story about maybe the cleaning staff miss read the sign. If the signs are so hard to interpret change the sign to something obvious!! The pool was way to cold, at a guess I would say 21 or 22 degrees, not a relaxing temperature and definitely not warm enough for my toddler who just wanted out. Disappointing as she was very much looking forward to the pool.

Overall very good was little dissapointed when went to check out very early - 5am on last day that I owed $6 on room fee and knowing that we were not having breakfast maybe that could have been wiped

Pleasant hotel that is central and will be conveniently placed for the light rail. The lifts are hopeless and breakfast pretty mundane - but I like to see Asian options. Otherwise fine. A bit slow in replenishing food.

It was ok. A bit disappointing. Mould in shower. Bathroom did not have a working extractor fan. Indoor pool was not heated. Room smelt when we first walked in. The hotel was tired and dated. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful and couldn’t be faulted. Selection for the Buffet breakfast was limited and disappointing. Overall it was ok and good but wouldn’t offer me a reason to return. I’d try a different hotel next time.

What was disappointing is that the sales staff from Parramatta deceived me when I bought the membership ,including the supervisor Cammellia.Firstly I was informed-re 50 percent of meals was 24/7 and instant upgrade ,this I found out was incorrect,I rang and spoke to the above who said the sales member made a mistake because you could not have the 50 percent deal with pre organised meals at dinner but the upgrade if available was automatically pinned . At Novotel act firstly I had to pay for my upgrade and was informed no deals on meals existed on all public holidays . I am still waiting for a call from the supervisor so as I may cancel membership. Do I compare Accor with Trivago who also have systematically been deceiving members .

Generally pretty good as usual. Great with upgrade and higher floor. Room quiet and clean. Just a couple of small issue? Kettle leaking and was replaced. Balcony door unable to be locked or difficult to lock. Either way we could not get it to lock. Otherwise all good.

The beds are comfortable, the room has everything you need. Weirdly, the bathroom sink is in the room, rather than in the bathroom, but otherwise everything is as it should be. The pool area has been recently refurbished, which is good, but the pool room is still very noisy when kids are playing in the pool, as the sound just echoes around. Right near the central city, and there will very soon be a tram stop right outside.

Hotel location is great near plenty of restaurants. Getting into hotel extremely poor - no instructions when booking. Pool and spa was great - very slippery on deck near spa where I slipped and got a large lump on my shin. Booked the room for 4 people (2 adults 1 child and 1 infant) only 2 towels in the room not enough sheets/bedding to make up the cot and the fold up lounge and not enough cups/drinking glasses for us all. Reception staff very professional and pleasant to deal with.
