The bed was clean. The areas around the windows are covered in black mould which is getting worse each time I stay at the hotel. The ceiling had large cobwebs hanging above the bed, which I removed. The shower flooded the last morning I was there. I cleaned up the mess but obviously the plug is able to be shut as I had to twist it open. The sink took ages to empty.

« Conveniently located budget hotel »

The hotel is in need of refurbishment however the rooms are always perfectly clean and tidy. The double beds are comfortable with good quality linen always pristine. The en-suite shower rooms are always in excellent condition. The public areas are in need of attention as is the appearance of the lifts. The staff are always attentive and helpful without fault. I understand that the hotel refurbishment is now planned which I look forward to attracting me to continue my extended stay now of some ten weeks.

For a town centre hotel, this was a nice quiet place to stay. The building itself is not very impressive or attractive, outside or in. The décor in the corridors is a bit drab and there is not much of a foyer. However, inside the room was modern and comfortable. It took me a while to work out how to increase the heating, and when I did so it periodically made strange gurgling noises. There was no heated towel rail to warm or dry towels, and the open end to the shower meant that I got quite a bit of water on the floor. The restaurant was rather functional but my meal and the service were both excellent.

« I wouldn't stay at the IBIS again. »

The first room I was in, the heating did not work and there were dirty marks on the wall. When I moved it was better. The mattress was so old you could feel the springs and the fact that there were 2 single beds pushed together which made it incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on.

« Over priced, mouldy room, poor service, horrible location »

REally disapointing. I have no idea how you can justify this as a £100 stay (ex breakfast). Location convenient near to station but not a lot else positive to say (and i am pretty regular at other Accor hotels and have an overall favourable view). Cracks on walls, loose sockets, mould, uncomfortable bed. To add insult to injury you didn't have an iron and the reception staff were completely disinterested in helping me to resolve that. Housekeeping found an old one which I used but overall really disapointed. Will certainly not return to this hotel
